Crooks out to cheat

Stay away from these guys... Bunch of crooks out to cheat. Get the rates from these guys & do your booking with a real travel agent that has an office. At least they will be accountable to the passenger. You cant even go after them because it is a bunch of guys taking calls for many unheard online agencies. You have no legal recourse against these cheats.

I booked a business trip in December…

I booked a business trip in December 2019. Later, I asked for an itinerary receipt in order to be reimbursed by my company -- FareScan refuses to send me a receipt, and continues to refer me to their support email address and their support phone number, bouncing me back and forth claiming that they can't help and I have to try the other contact method.

All I want is an itinerary receipt for the flight that I purchased.

EDIT: this is a reply to the response below.

Just so that there is no misunderstanding: I was given a receipt for the original booking of this flight, however the flight had to be re-booked. I never received a receipt for the re-booked flight, which had a different price and included a re-booking fee. This is the receipt I am referring to.

This is the worst company and more like…

This is the worst company and more like Fare SCAM!
I had purchased a round ticket and I was notified by the airline that one of the legs on my return flight has been cancelled due to COVID-19. I have reached out to call center and asked for a full refund of the return flights as per the airline policy. I was told an email had been sent to the refund department and stated refund would occur in 1-2 billing cycle but they didn't process the refund, I have contacted escalation department as well and they didn't refund my money for cancelled ticket by airline after 5 months of poor service and false promise.

Before you book, read this review

This website is a legitimate scam company that has their business practices of charging you for a service and then denying it later on, or canceling your ticket. The have an affiliated company under the name of "fare depot" and also the name "explore trip". They are all based out of India, not in the USA like the website says and they proxy their phone calls to be picked up in India if you try to call them. This is why they don't pick up the phone most of the time due to the time difference, and just because they are scummy.

I urge anyone to NEVER use any of these companies to buy an airline ticket. It will NOT be worth the headache of trying to get a refund. I booked with one of these companies and I literally was lied to multiple times and caught them in their lie and only got refunded 7 months later because I contacted the attorney general and consumer affairs office, which is when they finally refunded me.

If you got cheated by any of these companies and their affiliates, please make sure to always dispute the charge with your bank/CC company. Get your money back from these thieves.

Have a similar situation as you guys

Have a similar situation as you guys. Had tickets overseas for March 15. Tried to call them numerous times and no luck. Was really concerned due to the current travel situation, quarantine, and pandemic. I didn't get any updates from FareScan about my upcoming flight( as you all remember things got changed just around that time). Therefore, my bank suggested to dispute and after a few months of back and forth payment, I was denied and still have to pay $800 for the service I didn't receive. If someone from FareScan (for me it's FareScam ) is reading this, please get back to me!!! with the proposal on how we can sort things out and for now, I prefer to leave my review here. Guys are safe and DON'T BUY tickets from them.

Indeed you have a bad reputation

Indeed you have a bad reputation, if not worst of all. I made a claim for refund since March 2020 and all I get were lip service. Last time June 2020 you told me that you can not refund my ticket since China Eastern Airlines did not also return the money to you, only to find out that China Eatern Airlines already returned the money in April 2020. SCAMMER!!!!!!!!!

ScamScan would be apt name for this company

Purchased ticket with FareScan. Got automated email from farescan that my flight got cancelled. They refuse to refund my ticket when though I purchased the insurance that they advertise on their site. The customer service is very poor. I am going to file a dispute with my credit card company. I would never buy a ticket with this company. I would give 1/2 rating.

Scam company.

We bought tickets through this company from Turkish airlines. The tickets were canceled by Turkish airlines, and the Turkish airlines website says that travelers are entitled to a full refund. Farescan says that the tickets are nonrefundable despite turkish airlines literally saying they are refundable. This is a scam company, do not buy from them.

SCAM AGENCY!!!!DO NOT BUY TICKETS FROM THEM!

February 2020 I booked two tickets for my son and daughter in low through Fare Scan and 4 more tickets through Turkish Airlines.
The flights were for end of May.The airline cancelled all flights due to covid-19. We got our full refund from Turkish Airlines immediately.
Fare Scan agree to refund but claim $ 250.00 fee for cancellation.The agent told me this is non refundable charge from the airline even the flights were cancelled not by me but from Turkish Airlines.When I disagree with that,they sent me an E mail to "agree"with this fee and refund of $ 250.00 less. He told me if I don’t, I will lose my money even though pandemic has caused the problems not me.They wanted to have a proof that I agree with that in case if I decide to file a complain with my credit card.
The cancellation was made on 06/10/20.I called many times to ask for my refund and the answer was after 2 billing cycles?????Which billing cycles-no explanation.I still do not have refund.
On 7/24/20 they told me I have to wait to the end of August.They lied that Turkish Airlines did not refunded my money to them yet.
Why this company is holding my money?What I need to do to have my money back??This agency making money from this virus outbreak which is really disgusting.This is a SCAM Agency.

Farescam ? That’s what company’s name should be

Wow, after reading through all these bad reviews. It tells me that there is no hope with deal with the company like Faresan to get the money back. I have cancelled our trip back in February and still didn’t get our money back. I dispute the charge through our bank and then Farescan asked us to cancelled the disputing the amount. We thought okay if they can process our refund we can cancel the disputing transactions. But of course you never heard back from them anymore.

I guess everyone should file a Better Business Bureau to get this company to understand to be honest to their customer. It is very disappointed that when company like this try to ripped off the customers like this.

AVOID!!! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM

Worst company ever. Purchased my ticket in February for a flight in mid may. I cancelled in 1st of May due to Covid and they said a refund would be processed in two months. I called 2 months later and several times after that with them telling me to wait longer with each call. On July 15 I called again and told me that they would have someone from their refund department personally call me within 30 minutes to explain why there is such a delay. I was waiting but there was no call. In addition, their customer service is unbelievably ridiculous and unprofessional. You'll wait a minimum of 45 min each time and once an agent answers you'll be waiting an additional 30 min so the agent can get in contact with the refund department. Furthermore, a most of the agents I spoke to were extremely rude and some were even ridiculing. To this day I still haven't got gotten a single penny and they refused to refund the full amount, agreeing to a refund $150 less from the full amount. This company is a scam. Notify friends, family, and spread the word on social media to avoid this company at all costs, even if the price. You may be one of the unlucky ones who gets stuck in another country because of their lack of integrity and poor customer service.

Farescan Is by far the most horrible company ever!!

Farescan is the worst company i have ever dealt with in my life. Due to Covid the wedding in cancun was rescheduled for next year. My Boyfriend works for the hospitals too, so probably not a good idea for him to be traveling. They couldn't get us a refund or credit for our tickets. The only thing hey were willing to give us was an exchange of dates. When we gave them the dates they told us we were going to have to pay the difference in tickets, then said oh no wait we don't have those dates available. So what am I suppose to do with these tickets? I am not going to cancun for a wedding and then going again for a vacation. i have already been there for vacation. Then I call the airline and the number doesn't work!!!!!! I asked Farescan to please transfer me to a supervisor and they say they can't but the supervisor will call me back.. Guess what I never got a call back. This is from several times calling and trying to get my money back. The whole world is dealing with Covid and you can't help me with this? Seriously?!!

Stupid Service

These guys were the worst to deal with and customer service is worst. I paid 1300$and change for my filght, due to this covid i cancelled it by the start of may in which my flight date was may 15. Also they charged 350$ as airline cancellation fee on top Of this whole crap but i have not received any single penny back, even after two months. Now these people saying i will get only 800$ as refund and when i asked what about my damn Remaining 900$, they started yelling at me. Is this the way to treat customer even after charging 1700$. Please someone do take a look and help people to get their money back from this money eaters.

WORST SERVICE EVER

We booked with farescan for our trip to Jamaica in March of 2020... Covid19 happen and Farescan decided to ensure that every time we call we had a difficult time. You hear six different thing from six different agent. After several attempts to get a flight without paying any additional price on the ticket (already spent $750) I got fed up and call the airline who was able to put us on a flight without any increase after being told by the farescan agent this will cost us $247 each (5tickets) in flight increase. I called 7-6-2020 to find out about the previous $750 we spent and i was pretty much shamed on the phone by the agent asking me why I keep calling over and over. I didn't get a chance to speak because he was rude and dismissive. I asked him if that's how he talks to customers, and if he would just stop talking and listen he would actually hear what I was trying to say instead of just continuously shutting me up and being dismissive. I asked to speak to a supervisor and this &&&&%^R$ put me on hold for another 30 mins until I actually hang up... ALL I WANTED TO FIND OUT IS SINCE I WENT THROUGHT THE AIRLINE AND GOT THE TICKET CHANGE WITHOUT ANY INCREASE IF THEY WOULD GIVE US A CREDIT FOR THE MONEY ALREADY SPENT ON THE TICKET. The airline had directed me to find out from Farescan as they were the ones paid. I'm still at a lost that COVID19 is happening and the booking company will nickle and dime you, and point a finger at the airline when the airline found changes for me even for the date I was supposedly needing to pay $247 increase for the ticket.

Worest experience with farescan

Worest experience choosing this company.Each time you call, you get different answers about how to deal with the tickets cancelled by Covid-19.After 4-5 times call them, They agreed to refund, but claim $200 fee for cancellations per ticket even though this was cancelled due to Covid-19.FARESCAN is a dishonest company.

Worst experience ever!

I had to cancel my flight because of Corona virus, it is been over 4 months I'm trying to get the refund which is only 60 % of the amount, every time I call they tell me wait another week for the transaction. They will never call back to "the arranged calls".
I'm so sick and tired of this company, the worst experience ever. I talked to a lawyer, thinking to sue them.

If u be patient you will get your canceled ticket refunded. I got my money after 3months of the cancelation. Its a tough moment. We need to be patient

Farescan Charges You for a Refund that Doesn't Come

Farescan, as every other review on this page has pointed out, is nothing more than a scam. My refund was promised to me on my date of cancellation (due to COVID), and they charged me roughly $250 for a refund. I accepted this tired of trying to fight them back. They promised in a written email that the refund would take 2 months. It has now been four months and they are not even giving me a time I can expect my refund. I have called them multiple times, been put on wait for a phone call from a supervisor that never came (this happened three times), and they refuse to confirm anything they say in an email when talking through customer service. Moreover, I have been provided emails to talk my issue over, only not to be answered. I can only hope that if my refund doesn't come it means this company went under.
