Flight cancellation and no refund. Total scam

Booked a flight through Farescan and the airline cancelled my flight. I have called about 7 times and emailed them repeteadly. I keep getting evasive responses and they have even tried to charge me $200 to “cancel my ticket”... which was cancelled by the airline.

4 months later I still have not received my refund of $1,000+. Please stay away from them, worst customer experience ever. I would give them 0 stars if I could.

seriously unprofessional!!!

They are seriously unprofessional. I had to call to find out that my flight was cancelled because they didn't have the decency to tell your customers about that. 

Then I call and they have horrible customer service filled with people that are not willing to help you and are rude and sarcastic of our situation. On top of that, they say that there are no refunds and that I have credit for one year, but they won´t send me anything in writing, I just need to trust the word of the negligent agent that attended me. 

Just horrible, first and last time that i will book with you. Telling all my friends and family about your awful company.

Cancel my COVID flight and they still charge you a 75 Fee!

I would never ever book with FareScan again! Poor service and only care about money. Had to cancel our flight because of COVID, and they still charged you for the 75USD fee for refund! It's not like I wanted to cancel the flight, it was the situation on hand. FareScan, they just don't care! CheapOAir was way easier and pleasant to deal with. They gave me full refund and everything. Didn't have to worry about addition fees. Skip FareScam, you won't regret it!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM or You WiLL REGRET It . Same problem bought tickets from Farescams and send them an email to to cancel it , received a call after few weeks at 11 , PM that’s how you know if a company is scam or not . Who calls a customer at 11 pm in North America however the agent was trying to Convince me to change the dates of my travel which would cost me $300 each ticket. He told me if I don’t I will lose about the 40% of my money even though pandemic has caused the problems not me . He also lied that my flight is good to go once I called the airline directly they told me that my flight was canceled. So again call them for refund of course they have to charge me $125 for each ticket ! It’s called third party charge well I bought the tickets from you not third party? I was told that my refund will take about 30 to 60 days and my question is why ? When I bought the tickets you didn’t take 60 days to charge my credit card so why do I have to wait for my money for 60 days ?

FareScam has the worst customer service, nothing but a headache from the moment I bought my ticket

FareScam has the worst customer service. Nothing but trouble since the moment I bought my ticket. I've been waiting for a refund since March, and they just keep giving me the runaround. I've been waiting for more than two weeks for them to even answer simple questions like the definition of an obscure term.

They gave me a huge hassle for weeks, and I finally had to file a complaint with the US Department of Transportation before they did anything meaningful. Even emailing their Escalations email address was worthless, the escalations people didn't even reply.

EDIT: After I left this review they promptly responded with an apology for taking so long, and told me it will take longer. They also sent me a link to an advisory page in Japanese. Their customer support is so bad it's comical.

EDIT: The airline got more involved and were pretty direct telling FareScam to refund me. In response FareScam has started ignoring all my communication.

DO NOT BOOK A FLIGHT

I wish there was an option to give negative stars. This company does nothing as it says it would. I had a flight during this pandemic and each time I called in to cancel it I was given different option and told I'd receive a call back which never came. Every person I spoke with wouldn't honor what the person prior to them offered me. They are dishonest and their customer service staff isn't trained to be consistent in option delivery. I will NEVER book a flight through this company again.

Never Again! Stay away or Regret!!

Never again will I buy ticket from this SCAM agency! I had an absolutely horrific experience buying the ticket through them. My fight got cancelled due to COVID-19 and I had to pay a $180 CANCELLATION FEE TO GET MY REFUND BACK. Please do not buy any ticket from this agency. YOU WILL REGRET! They also have a horrific customer service.

Worst travel company ever! WARNING: do not use

FareScan continues to dispute the refund due to flight cancellation BY AIRLINE due to the virus. Obviously trying to take advantage of the ignorance of public on this issue. It is very clear that the US Dept of Transportation states that if the flight is cancelled by airline, passenger is entitled to a full refund REGARDLESS of the reason. FareScan will have to refund the FULL amount and have lost a client for life. Furthermore, I will apply a negative rating and review anywhere I can online and tell everyone I know on what kind of company it is. At the end FareScan is trying to cheat the public and it will come back to haunt them. For anyone reading this if you need a refund from FareScan, dispute thru your credit card company and be prepared with documentation.
FareScan has responded with the same copy and paste BS that they send everyone else, they have 2-3 responses that they use which don't mean anything. Let's all sue these scumbags.

Farescam not farescan

I use to use this website often to book tickets for my family and friends. However, I advise you to use one of another. I cancelled the ticket and processed the refund on February 2020 due to the COVID-19. I called so many times to check my refund status but still not received yet. It’s been 4 months, I try to be nice and patient to you all, but you keep lying to me. I am still waiting for my refund. if I cannot finally see it, I will call my bank to close original transaction and report it as commercial fraud. I am tired. It would be last time I use your web!

Farescan is Robbing customers

I booked a turkish airlines flight with farescan that was cancelled due to COVID. Turkish airlines' policy for my flight was a full refund, but farescan first tried to withhold $1,000 and then settled to withhold $400. It is turkish airlines policy they receive a full refund or full voucher. They pocket 25-50% of this cash and give the rest back to the customer. This is an extremely unethical company that I will NEVER use again. Be warned! Do not use farescan.

They don’t even deserve a rating

They don’t even deserve a rating, I asked for a refund in March 20 and they told me 4-5 weeks!!! After I contacted them they told me another 4-5 weeks, NOTHING!! Finally they said in 30 days and I have yet to see a single cent from them. Of course they blame it on COVID!! It’s been 3 months!!! Thats ridiculous. Never ever AGAIN!!!

Farescan is one of the WORST companies…

Farescan is one of the WORST companies I have ever had to deal with in regards to getting a refund. They stole money from me and my partner when we booked flights to asia by charging and extra $350 on our account and not letting us know.

Once we found out, we reached out to them and they said they would issue a refund - no refund was received. I reached out to them again and they said they can only give half and sent the other half through a cheque. The amount sent was lower than we were owed so we did not cash it. I have raised this with them and they said they will issue a refund and then just recently they said they will not. Their reason - Just because they do not want to. This is a criminal company that steals your money do not use them. Spend the extra couple of hundred to go with a reputable company. I'm still waiting on my refund. It has been 8 months and I will happily sue this company

Fare SCAM should be the company's name

Bought a ticket through FareScan. They should be called FareSCAM. They refuse to refund me, even though it is illegal to do so. Furthermore, the customer service representative was extremely unhelpful and rude. The airlines said the third party would refund me but then when I called them they refused. Still refusing to help me. Still refusing to refund me. They wanted me to have sympathy for the fact that airlines are losing money. What about the customers? Then I read some of their responses to peoples negative reviews. That FareSCAM cares about their customer service? CLEARLY THEY DON'T! They just want their money and want us to forget about losing our money/flight ticket. Don't give up!!!

BIGGEST SCAM - DO NOT TRUST !!!!

Been waiting for a refund since March! I was then told in late May it has been processed but still haven’t seen a cent from them. They also claim there is a “$150 fee for cancellations per ticket” even tho this was cancelled due to Covid-19. The biggest scam. Terrible customer service. Never again.

charging me $150-200 for cancellation…

charging me $150-200 for cancellation fee that the airline said it was free due to the pandemic. That is ridiculous and no wonder there are so many bad reviews for this company because they're literally robbing people during this pandemic. I don't mind paying all small fee even though most agents are giving full refunds in this situation but never ever $150-200 in fees and I will advise everybody that I know not to purchase any tickets from them again.
