Most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Many customers found the service to be fast, efficient, and professional, with some successfully unlocking their devices quickly and without hassle. They appreciated the clear communication and the ability to use their phones with any SIM card afterward. However, some people were dissatisfied with the pricing and payment structure, often encountering unexpected additional fees beyond the initial advertised cost. There were also complaints about the refund policy, with some customers reporting difficulties or outright refusal to issue refunds when the service couldn't be completed. The response time for some inquiries was also a point of concern for a few users.

Hi — I’m really sorry this was frustrating. A couple of quick points to explain what happened and get you finished:

- Eligibility checks are separate and non-refundable: "Eligibility Check: These checks are non-refundable."
- Sometimes a phone needs a higher service level (Standard → Premium) before it can be unlocked, and those upgrades are charged as additional payments: "Premium Services are only relevant to iPhones." and if an upgrade is required initial payments aren’t refundable.
- Timeframes are guidelines, not guarantees: "any timeframes stated are a calculation ... given as a guideline, NOT a guarantee" and "Delivery times are guidelines ... These delivery times are variable..."

Your order status shows "Unlock Complete" — to finish on an iPhone please connect to Wi‑Fi and turn the phone off and then on: "iPhones: connecting the phone to WiFi and turning the phone off and then on;"

If you follow that and it’s still locked, reply with your order number and I’ll check it right away. — Charlotte

Took a little longer than anticipated - but all good

Took a little longer than anticipated - contacted customer support who were very helpful and escalated my request, and the unlock completed a couple of hours later. Overall timescale around 23 hours.

Hi — thanks for the update and for your patience. Sorry it took a little longer than expected, I’m glad our team could escalate and complete the unlock.

I can confirm your order for the iPhone 11 on EE UK shows "Unlock Complete" (order placed 06/01/2026). To finish the unlock on iPhones, please follow the instructions: "iPhones: connecting the phone to WiFi and turning the phone off and then on;" If that doesn’t work, reply here and I’ll get this checked straight away.

Thanks again — Charlotte

Hi — thanks for your feedback. I can confirm your order (placed 01/01/2026) shows Unlock Complete and your codes are:

NCK = 7048317180350963
MCK = 4709524964841863

Follow the usual steps: insert a non‑AT&T SIM and power on — as our terms state, “Non‑iPhones: entering the unlocking codes provided in accordance with the email instructions;” If the phone prompts for the network code, enter the NCK; if it requests a master code, enter the MCK.

If your phone doesn’t prompt for a code or the code fails, please reply with what you see — our techs will help walk you through it. Note that “An Android device is only able to be unlocked via a code if the device asks for an unlock code when an incompatible sim card is placed in the device,” and that the “Eligibility Check: These checks are non‑refundable.”

I’m here to help get this working for you — tell me what your phone shows when you try. — Charlotte

I have been waiting from last Setptember for my device to be unlocked. You will never get them to give you back your money!!!!! I paid way over 200 and its the same. They will also tell that you should not try any other unlocking service.

Hi — I’m Charlotte. I’m really sorry you’ve had to wait that long; I understand how frustrating this is.

A couple of quick points from our terms that may help explain delays:
- “Any timeframes stated are a calculation of the previous weeks unlocks and are given as a guideline, NOT a guarantee.” (Terms & Conditions 1.1)
- “It is not possible to cancel your order once it is paid for.” (Terms & Conditions 2.1)
- Refunds are limited to specific cases (for example, “If, having worked with our technician to get the code to work, and we cannot get the code to work, you'll be refunded.”). Conversely, “No refund if the provided IMEI is incorrect.” (Refund Policy)

We don’t have your IMEI or order reference, so I can’t look into this for you right now. Please use the Live Support on your tracking page and provide your IMEI so we can investigate and get this resolved. In the absence of any reference, we cannot address your specific concerns.

I want to help get this sorted — please contact Live Support with your IMEI and I’ll make sure someone follows up.

These people are theives!!

These people are theives!!! I paid $200 over the course 4 months to have them "escalate" the unlocking of my phone and then when I finally demanded my money be returned - which they assured me they would do if I no longer wanted them to proceed - they disabled the online chat feature and stopped answering emails! I am appauled that they have not been shut down for blatantly lying and false advertising (they promised that by upgrading to Premium Service that would "FULLY GUARANTEE AND BYPASS ALL RESTRICTIONS" to unlock the device. I have this in an email in writing. Unfortunately, this is a huge scam and they just keep saying if you'll allow them 24-48 hours they will have it unlocked or I can cancel for a refund. None of which ever happens.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!

If you have been wronged by this company, PLEASE submit complaints to the State Attorney General, Better Business Bureau, and the Federal Trade Commission to get these slimy, awful people put out of business!

Hi — I’m really sorry you’ve had such a stressful time. I can see three payments on your account ($54 Standard, $114 Standard and $174 Premium) for the AT&T USA iPhone 11 unlock placed on Oct 6, 2025. Your order status is In Process — the unlock is 99% complete and should be completed imminently.

Please allow 24–48 hours to finish; if it still hasn’t completed after that we’ll escalate immediately. Per our Refund Policy: "Premium Services which fail - both your Standard and Premium payments will be fully refunded back to your card if it is not possible to unlock your device having tried Premium Service."

Reply with your order number or the email used and I’ll chase this right away. — Charlotte

Fraud! Scam! DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE

I had a network unlock order with them for an iphone 15 pro max. Long and short, I received a credit note because they said I could not get back my refund to my original payment method.

The further issue now is that I am not able to even use that credit note even though they said I could.

They just get you to spend money with them and then they tell you that the service is not available and then tell you that you cannot get a refund to your original payment method and give you a credit note which you cannot even use on their site. It is all fake and lies! They are a scam

Hi — I’m Charlotte. Sorry you’ve had such a frustrating experience — I want to help.

Please note we can’t locate or fix your order without an IMEI or order number (you haven’t supplied one). In the absence of any reference, we cannot address your specific concerns — please use the Live Support on your tracking page so we can resolve this quickly.

For reference, our terms say: "Credit Notes can be used against any sim unlocking service, and for any device - simply click 'Use Credit Note' on the checkout page when purchasing. They cannot be used for iCloud Unlocks." If the credit note won’t apply at checkout, it may be due to the type of service (e.g. iCloud) or the order status — we need your IMEI/order number to check.

If you’d like me to escalate this right away, please share your order number or IMEI (or contact Live Support from your tracking page) and I’ll get it looked into.

Do NOT use ExpressUnlock

Do NOT use ExpressUnlock. This is a complete scam.

I paid $79 to unlock my phone, and months later, my phone is STILL NOT unlocked. For the past three months, the status has been stuck at “99% - imminent unlocking.” 99% for THREE MONTHS?

After taking my money, they completely stopped replying to my messages. No updates, no real support, nothing. And refunds? Forget it. They don’t give refunds, instead, they offer “store credit.” Store credit… for WHAT? Why would I want store credit for a service that doesn’t work? That’s not a solution, THAT’S A SCAM TACTIC.

Also, don’t be fooled by the positive reviews. They’re fake. They’re clearly written by the same people or accounts connected to them. Don’t take my word for it, do your own research and you’ll see.

If you’ve already paid, report this to your bank or credit card company immediately and report the website to Google as a scam. There’s an option to do so, please use it! The more reports, the harder it will be for them to keep scamming people.

Let’s stop them from taking advantage of more people. DO NOT USE EXPRESSUNLOCK.

Also, why are you asking people to post their IMEI publicly? That is extremely unsafe and irresponsible. An IMEI is sensitive personal information and should NEVER be shared publicly.
If “Charlotte” actually works there, she would only need the order number, for reference, mine is #12914812. That’s it. Nothing else should be required.

Hi — Charlotte here. I’m really sorry you’ve had this experience — that’s understandably frustrating.

To investigate and resolve this I need your phone’s IMEI — without it we can’t locate or fully verify the order. Please do NOT post the IMEI publicly; use the Live Support on your tracking page to send it privately along with your order number #12914812 so we can look into the “99% - imminent unlocking” status.

A couple of relevant notes from our terms:
- "Any timeframes stated are a calculation of the previous weeks unlocks and are given as a guideline, NOT a guarantee."
- From the Refund Policy: "If, having worked with our technician to get the code to work, and we cannot get the code to work, you'll be refunded."

Once you send the IMEI via Live Support I’ll escalate this and get an update. Again, sorry for the delay — please send the IMEI through Live Support so we can sort it quickly.

Very disappointing and misleading experience

I had a frustrating experience with this service. They claimed that my phone does not prompt for an unlock code, which is incorrect. My device does ask for an unlock code, and I have attached photos to this review as proof.

What makes this worse is that I was prepared to unlock 17 devices, as I run a mobile phone shop. Based on this experience, I completely lost trust in the service.

It appears this claim was used as a justification to avoid issuing a proper refund after failing to unlock the device. Instead, the order was closed and a credit note was issued under their terms and conditions.

The process took a long time, communication was good anna, and the promised service was not delivered.

I am sharing this experience to warn others to be cautious before using this service.

Hi — Charlotte here. I’m really sorry this has been so frustrating, especially with you planning to unlock 17 devices.

I can see your order from 08 Dec 2025 and that you paid £14.99 (Eligibility Check) and £38 (Standard Unlock), and that a credit note was issued with the status: “Device doesnt prompt for unlock code, unfortunately a remote USB unlock is not possible for this device.”

To explain how that decision was reached, our terms state: “Eligibility Check: These checks are non-refundable,” and “Standard Services which fail and which are not upgraded to Premium Service will be issued with a credit note only.” If an Android phone doesn’t prompt for a code the T&Cs also note that a credit note is used to cover submission costs and to be used toward a Remote USB unlock where available.

If you’ve got photos showing the phone does prompt, please reply to your order email (include your order number, IMEI and the photos). I will escalate this immediately to our senior technician for re-review and priority handling — we want to try to get this sorted so you can use your credit or complete the unlock. Would you like me to escalate now?

ExpressUnlock is Fraud and they ask to pay more again

REquested for Straight talk phone unlock. Paid $24 but they still asking for $59.00 extra. It is a fraud service
thanks for reaching out and I’m sorry for the worry here. I can see your order from Dec 18, 2025: you paid $24.99 for the Eligibility Check for the Galaxy A15 5G (IMEI ****) and the order is currently awaiting the unlocking payment of $59.00.

I’m afraid I don’t have good news about cancelling and refunding that Eligibility Check. Our Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy state that Eligibility Checks (pre-orders) are non‑refundable and that orders cannot be cancelled once paid (T&C 2.1 and Refund Policy: “Eligibility Check: These checks are non‑refundable”). Because we already performed the network checks for your device, we cannot return that $24.99.

What I recommend instead
- If you want the phone unlocked so it can be used beyond StraightTalk USA, the quickest path is to complete the unlocking payment of $59.00. Once you pay the unlock fee via your Tracking page, we will proceed with the unlock request.
- You can initiate that payment from your Tracking page — please click the payment button there to continue. (If you need help finding the Tracking page or a direct link, tell me and I’ll help.)

Would you like me to help you find the Tracking page or confirm the next steps to pay the $59?

Thanks for reaching out — I’m sorry for the worry here. I can’t look up your specific order without your IMEI number, so please either reply with the IMEI or use the Live Support link on your tracking page so we can access your order and help.

A couple of important points from our policies:
- “It is not possible to cancel your order once it is paid for.” (Terms & Conditions 2.1)
- “Eligibility Check: These checks are non‑refundable” (Refund Policy)

Because the $24.99 was for an Eligibility Check that we’ve already performed, that charge isn’t refundable. To complete the actual unlock you’ll need to pay the outstanding $59.00 via your Tracking page — once paid we’ll proceed immediately.

Would you like me to help you find your Tracking page or explain how to use Live Support? — Charlotte

To investigate we need your order reference or the phone IMEI — without that we can’t locate your order or check eligibility. Please use the Live Support link on your tracking page so we can resolve this quickly.

For transparency, our Refund Policy only refunds in specific cases (for example: “Incorrect Unlocking Code: If, having worked with our technician to get the code to work, and we cannot get the code to work, you'll be refunded.”). Without your IMEI we can’t verify whether any of those conditions apply.

Please open Live Support or reply with your IMEI/order reference and I’ll get this sorted.

Hi — I’m sorry this has been frustrating. I can see your two payments (Eligibility Check $28.99 + Standard Unlock $50) for an AT&T USA iPhone 11 (order placed Dec 15, 2025). Your order status is In Process — the unlock is 99% complete and should be completed imminently.

Please note: "Eligibility Check: These checks are non-refundable." Also our terms state: "Standard Services which fail and which are not upgraded to Premium Service will be issued with a credit note only." Because of that we can’t automatically refund the eligibility check, but I’ll escalate this to our technicians right away.

Hi — sorry for the frustration, I know this feels like a lot.

According to your order record you’ve only paid $24.99 for the Eligibility Check (order placed Dec 15, 2025). As our policy states, "'Eligibility Check: These checks are non-refundable.'" The Eligibility Check does not include the unlock — your order status shows you are "awaiting Unlocking Payment of $68.00."

Please initiate the $68 unlocking payment via your Tracking page so we can proceed. If your iPhone needs a Premium Service, "If your phone requires an upgrade (e.g., from Standard to Premium Service), any initial payments are non-refundable." That upgrade will be shown in your status if required.

If you’d like, send a screenshot of your Tracking page here and I’ll point you to exactly what to pay. You can also read other customers’ experiences here: https://expressunlocks.com/unlock-iphone-14-t-mobile#review_section
