I'm sorry you feel this way, but let me set out plainly what happened, as it comes down to how the insurance works rather than any wrongdoing.
At the desk, the supplier asked for proof of insurance. The Full Coverage you purchased through EconomyBookings is a reimbursement-based product — it doesn't come with a paper policy to present at the counter and doesn't appear in the supplier's system, because it isn't the supplier's own insurance. It works by reimbursing you afterward for eligible charges, rather than being cover the supplier recognises on the spot. That's why there was no "insurance paper" to show — and it appears that mismatch is what led to the service being declined.
On what's included: third-party liability is generally part of the basic rental rate, but the collision damage waiver (CDW) is a separate product — it isn't automatically included, and where the supplier requires it, it's taken at the desk. Full Coverage doesn't replace the supplier's CDW; it reimburses eligible excess and damage costs after the fact instead.
So the situation stems from the Full Coverage being a reimbursement product rather than desk-side insurance — a genuine distinction, not the company stealing from you. We do care about our customers, and I'm sorry the way this was explained (or not explained) at the desk left you feeling misled.

I'm completely dissatisfied with the service provided by your company. I made a vehicle reservation for September 3rd and later needed to add an additional day to the booking.
I promptly contacted customer service to request this modification; however, I was informed that the only available option was to cancel the reservation. When I proceeded with the cancellation, I was charged a $40 fee, despite having made the request almost immediately—within approximately two minutes of completing the original reservation.
The wait time on the phone exceeded one hour, and I was not offered any viable solution. I was simply advised to submit a complaint, without receiving any assistance or alternative options to resolve the issue.
I find this charge to be unfair and the level of customer service to be unsatisfactory. As a result, I would not recommend this company. I would advise others to consider more reputable providers that offer better customer support.

Whether a booking can be extended depends on whether the supplier has an amendment option for those dates at the time you call. If they don’t, cancellation can be the only available step, and any fee is then applied under the booking terms rather than how quickly you came back to us. If you'd like the case looked at against those terms, do reach out to our support team through the Help Center on the website — they can review the timing and the $40 charge properly.

Do NOT use this website if you need flexibility with cancellation & want your money back. This company allows cancellation based on the vendor but it refunds the money into an e-Wallet which has a 2 year expiration! And customer service almost non-existential.

I understand the concern about the refund landing as e-wallet credit — but the good news is it doesn't have to stay there: it can be withdrawn back to your original card.
In your email inbox, look for the message titled "Your e-wallet has been topped up" — at the bottom of it there's a withdrawal link, and clicking through it lets you send the funds back to your original payment method rather than keeping them as credit. So the money isn't locked into the e-wallet, and there's no need to worry about the two-year window if you withdraw it to your card — that link is exactly the route to getting your refund back rather than holding it as credit.
If the email isn't in your inbox, it's worth checking your spam folder — or drop a line to community@bookinggroup.com with your booking number and we'll resend the withdrawal link and help you get the refund back to your card.

Took my money, didn't provide a car
I booked a rent-a-car thru economybookings.com a week in advance of our travel. After 16 hours long flight, my son and I landed and figured out that the agent who is supposed to meet us at the airport is not there. Walked to the rent-a-car booths and to our shock, the listed agency doesn't even have a booth. After multiple phone calls, we were told that the reservation was never sent to them, and apparently, EconomyBooking didn't notify them at all. Joke of business probably from both of them but we were left in the middle of the season without car. Never again

A 16-hour flight followed by no agent at the airport and no booth for the named supplier is a brutal way to arrive. If the reservation never reached the rental desk, they wouldn’t have been able to release a car on pickup, but that clearly left you stranded when you should’ve been able to get moving.
This kind of case needs checking against the booking record, the supplier details, and what was said on those phone calls. Deceptive airport booking conditions and dismissive customer service
Do not provide clear and transparent pick up conditions. I was denied service by a rental company (Alamo) at ORY airport for not having an airline ticket to show (a new and non-standard policy across rental car companies).
This is information which was never explicitly mentioned in the reservation process. It was buried 6 pages deep in the general conditions . A responsible travel agent would make this more evident and prominent.
The operator I spoke too was rude and dismissive and they refused to refund.
