I wanted a quote from the USA to another country. I spoke with Sarah RABAA and from her she said, please respond as quickly as possible and I did at Jun 12, 2025, 11:35 AM and Sarah RABAA message me at Jun 12, 2025, 11:22 AM, after five long days. I receive a quote, but not from Sarah RABAA, from someone name: Constance Dittrich. Stating:
USD 1312 FOR THE AIR FREIGHT
OR
USD 6217 FOR THE SEA FREIGHT
This quotation includes:
Pick up, Loading onto the truck
Ocean Freight up to the port of arrival
Import Charges (Handling fee / ISPS / Registration / DTHC / Port charges)
Import Customs clearance, making sure that everything is okay with the customs office Pick up at port of arrival, Delivery at residence.
This quotation excludes:
Potential:
Storage (upon request) - demurrage (force majeure)
Customs inspection (if subjected to - random operation)
Import taxes & VAT (can apply for an exemption)
Optional Insurance (3,5% of the value you will declare)
GRI/VATOS (General rate increase / Validity at time of shipment), additional volume.
We will need you to send us following documents:
- Inventory, copy of the passport, last visa or entry stamp.
Asking for a copy of my passport, last visa or entry stamp is why I did not respond to Constance Dittrich. I don't know her and I didn't make contact with her, my first message was not even attached. My first contact was with Sarah RABAA.
A shipping company asking for a copy of your passport is unusual and potentially a scam.
Do not let this company ship your items. I know a con when I see one.

Secondly, regarding the mention of a passport or visa — these are not requested at this stage. They’re only listed in our quote template as documents that might be required later, but only if you proceed with a shipment involving personal effects. It’s standard practice in international logistics and required by customs in many countries (for example, U.S. Customs & Border Protection : https://www.cbp.gov/travel/international-visitors/know-before-you-visit/customs-duty-information).
So to be clear:
✅ No documents were asked from you yet.
✅ The quote was prepared transparently by a qualified team member.
✅ This is a standard process — not a scam.

Alba Stayed with me throughout the whole time via whats app.
Then I was introduced to Lara who has been with me since .she even advised me on the TOR process to avoid any tax at customs.
Price was great, it's all going to plan, and is actually ahead of schedule.
Also big thanks to the whole team who have been nothing short of brilliant.

Absolutely the worst experience

Robert’s saving grace is his hang-in-there posture toward any arising challenges in shipping. His outstanding ability to deal with all parties involved is worthy of note. This time he skillfully handled all US export formalities incl. SED/AES filing, pre-pull drayage, not to mention the sea freight from Oakland POL by a 20-footer. Everything ended up working out like a charm!

Noting but smooth experience
In the event of goods being stuck at customs, Robert Houwayek is a customs broker you should arguably consider to release your cargo. Once I knew that my scale modeling tools coming from Spain are being withheld at Suvarnabhumi Airport, I resorted to him to release it and handle the last mile delivery. All what he asked me is to send 2 emails to be able to do it! The first one to him (incl. invoice, AWB, & last-entry stamp), and the second one to the airline in order to release the D/O to him. Well guess what, within 48 hours, it was done! I got my parcel at my place in Phuket.
