Terrible from start to finish. Staff in the dealership tried their best but despite that we encountered the following issues:
Booked to collect the car the following day with head office and were assured the car would be clean and ready. Arrived at out local dealership and they had no knowledge of our booking. Car was not ready so had to wait for 2.5 hours to buy our car. During this time the car was valeted twice as it was not done properly and still had marks on it. Excuse given was the valeted are contracted and not employed directly by Carsa. I’m fail to understand how this is acceptable as it is a service Carsa provide, contracted or otherwise!!
Upon getting the vehicle home noticed the door card on drivers doorof our 23k car had been removed and not refitted properly. Returned to the dealership and was assured someone will contact me to arrange a repair. Still waiting!!!!!!’

£44,000 for a “10,153-mile” Golf — then the vehicle’s own data told a very different story
One star only because zero is not available.
I deliberately waited until taking legal advice before making this experience public.
On 5 January 2024, I purchased a Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport from CARSA for £44,000, including a £7,000 part-exchange. A major reason for buying it was that it was advertised as having just 10,153 miles.
After purchase, Volkswagen evidence and an independent automotive engineer’s report identified a substantial discrepancy between the mileage displayed on the dashboard and mileage data recorded within the vehicle’s systems. The evidence was consistent with mileage of approximately 27,500 — around 17,000 miles more than the figure on which the car was advertised and sold.
To be completely clear, I am not claiming to know who caused the discrepancy or exactly how it occurred. The problem is much simpler: I paid £44,000 for a supposedly low-mileage car, yet the mileage on which I made that decision cannot be reconciled with the vehicle’s own electronic data.
When the car was subsequently taken to Volkswagen for what should have been a routine service and MOT inspection, I was also presented with repairs estimated at around £4,000, including work relating to the sump and a wheel. Faced with those costs and the unresolved mileage discrepancy, the vehicle was declared SORN and has remained off the road for a prolonged period.
I obtained the independent report requested, supplied the Volkswagen evidence and ultimately had to instruct solicitors. What should have been dealt with promptly has instead required expert evidence, formal correspondence and an extraordinary amount of time and effort simply to establish why a vehicle sold as having 10,153 miles contains substantially higher mileage data.
A customer should not need engineers, manufacturer diagnostics and solicitors to establish whether the mileage attached to a £44,000 purchase can be trusted.
Based on my experience, I would never purchase another vehicle from CARSA. Anyone considering doing so should obtain their own independent diagnostic checks at control-module level rather than relying solely on the dashboard mileage or sales presentation.
The legal matter remains ongoing. I will update this review with the final outcome.

The staff both salesperson and general manager were very good to deal with and most of all the car was excellent

Reply from Carsa
Very professional and the car was well prepared but unfortunately the car was at the top of my budget and would need 4 new tyres very soon so didn’t go ahead with the purchase but was not pressured in any way
