Dont go with this bank!! They are robbers, yeah they will open an account for you they charge you £55 apparently for checking with companies house that you are real, I asked alot of relevant questions before I decided to open this account, like is there a limit on the funds that can go into this account As I am a broker for large vehicles they said no problem funds upto £230,000 and unlimited transfers! I had a couple of small sales then a large sale for £20,000 and they stop the transfer and closed the account down, Ive ended up loosing alot of money and client's! They wouldn't even give me back the cost of opening the account!! The only reason why I went with this bank is so I didn't have to wait 4 weeks for a high street bank to open! Card one money is shameful and should be shut down.

DO NOT OPEN A BANK ACCOUNT WITH THEM. I will be making a complaint to Watchdog. I suggest you all do the same. Extremely bad customer service. They've reversed my money that I received as it was sent with my middle name on instead of first. However my benefits have always been received under the same name and they have always accepted it in the past as I've shown them proof of I D. Now I'm in rent arrears and may have to leave the property soon with my 4 year old daughter as i can't afford to pay the rent.

Scammers! Stay away guys! Spent £15 on calling their premium number trying to get the money credited available on the account. Numerous calls, sent emails. Worst customer service, ever. Lost £350

Disgusting bank. Charge for everything, taking money out at an ATM, If you can find one that accepts your card. Pay cash in, only at a post office, takes 2/3 working days before going into your account. Can't transfer money to another account at the weekend then charge you 12.50 per month for being the worst bank ever. DO NOT USE THIS BANK!!

This is one of the worst banks or building society ever to exist. I normally don’t write reviews on anything but this time I have to speak up. They are criminals, thieves and quite frankly everyone involved should be arrested and locked up (apart from the customer service) to withdraw money from the atm machine you pay, to send money on the same day you pay, lost your card and want to order a new one you pay, accidentally send money into your card account from your billing account and want to transfer it back into your billing account your pay, if you can’t log into your account to make a payment and you call customer service to do it through the phone you also pay and ontop of that you pay £12.50 every month I mean every blessed month! This bank is a robbery! There was this one night I went out I didn’t have a single penny I asked my mate to send me money for taxi, there were no more buses running cuz it was about 3am in the morning I had no cash, asked my mate to send me £10 to get a taxi the moment he send the money these bellens absolutely morons took the money off my account i had to walk home that night in the cold, raining and not a proper jacket lived about 30mins away from town! These lot are demons and I don’t know why is the government or police not looking into this! This is complete theft and this company should be banned, closed and the criminals behind it should be send to jail for not less then 10yrs in prison!! Imagine the amount of people these Scalawags have duped with this bank account! Absolutely excruciating and atrocious! Stay away from these scams and get their company BAND!

I had payments from friends and an item I sold online and was credited into my account. They held the funds for 4 days and after constantly messaging and calling them I finally got told my funds and account would be closed down LOOOOL. What a complete joke I even paid the £45 joining fee!! DO NOT EVER USE THESE!!!!

I like the bank but my cash doesn't go in till 9pm or later why is this when other banks clear by 6pm.

I have had nothing but problems with this company, which I pay a monthly fee for!!!
This very weekend a friend has send me money as I am completely broke and have no food. Card one money shows the funds in my account yet won’t let me access them and then sends the money back to my friend. This has happened twice this weekend. It’s not Sunday and I have not eaten since Friday!!!! It’s disgusting treatment of people. Yet card one money will still want to charge me £12.50 next week!!!!

They Ruin peoples lives and you can’t even contact them

I emails to ask about a accorn business account to work alongside my tide account, I was called numerous times when I picked up the call I was steered away from acorn to card one .. they then charged me £50 to apply for so called identify checks , was told no credit checks and ID verification was really at that was required, called two hours later to tell me “ the underwriters have rejected “ I asked why they told me they couldn’t tell me ... total con being charged £50 to check and identification which was mainly on LinkedIn and also our company website .. totally appaling no idea what the relationship is with this bank to acorn ? Should this not be governed under Data laws ? FCA .. totally conned me and wasted my time would recommend that you never talk to them

BEWARE- I opened a business account and they immediately started deducting daily charges, which they only reimbursed when I complained. They also sent two debit cards, one for an employee which I never requested. I asked for the second card to be cancelled (which they deny). Meanwhile, I destroyed the card they sent, thinking that was the end of the matter. Two weeks later £800 was deducted from my account by the employee who must have called them and asked for a new card (or they send one direct and not to me this time), then emptied the account. Lucky I only had a small balance. CardOne say that all directors on the account have FULL access to the account, so it's impossible to impose spending limits, unlike every other bank. It's effectively useless as a company account except for a sole trader. I will now close the account. It's the worst bank I have had in the 6 weeks that the account has been open.

Yet again can't access my own money, app problems or Mastercard seeing serious problems with Cardone. Not the first time I can't use my card, and not the first time Mastercard has a problem with Cardone, yet again it's the weekend. Its Saturday night and customer service is closed. Ok Cardone, taking this further this time. Avoid at all costs

Card One used to be great, and I used to warmly recommend them. This is no longer the case, as I am finding them increasingly unreliable, difficult to reach, and even when I manage to contact them, the response is lukewarm, and the service failures crop up again, time after time.

DO NOT GO WITH THIS BANK...
Opened a business account, had money paid in from a customer, went to pay the wages and suppliers, held onto funds for Freya’s prevention. Yes this happens in all banks but once all information was provided they held onto all the funds in the account and have still not released them. No fraud no explanation because you cannot talk to anyone dealing with it
They will cause you nothing but stress because it’s a gamble as weather you will be able to make payments or not

By far the worst thing ever. I had a business account with them and ended up paying monthly £200 in various banking fees. It's crazy. The number of hidden charges are ridiculous. They also charge you £55 for the account application fee. I did this mistake. Please stay away from these people.

Opened account in summer and it worked fine for a few months until now. I sent small amount of £50 into account and it still isn’t available for me to use. Account fee was taken from the 50 but I can’t use the rest. Luckily this isn’t my main bank, only open an account if you’re desperate and can’t open anywhere else.

P.s. account fee is 12.50 a month and it costs you 7.50 to transfer money each time so if you send someone £10, £17.50 will leave your account unless you don’t mind waiting 3 days for it to send in which case it’s free. It’s also worth noting that the card doesn’t work with normal link cash points you have to find specific cash points which can be very hard to find. The card doesn’t work with Uber either
