Signed up to €1 payment and Brainstove have continuously tried to take €38 from my account. I have blocked the payments. I didn’t agree to any subscription. This is a total scam.

Scam. Same as others, my bank blocked a £38.95 and a £1 transaction after I tried to pay for Ringo parking.
Whilst I was paying for parking on Ringo app I had what I thought was a pop up ad appear, which I closed down. I paid for parking but the payment wouldn't go through. I closed the app and tried again. Same thing happened, pop up Brainstove ad, closed it, input my card details, no parking confirmation. Gave up and paid by phone. Next thing I get a notification from my bank about a blocked payment for Brainstove.

Same with me - I tried to pay for RingGo parking and they tried to take £59.99 out of my account - directed me to Brainstove and before I knew it £1 was out ans a further £59.99 attempted.
This is Fraud and I have reported to my bank bank and will report to money regulator services too.

Like others before me, I got scammed whilst paying for parking. They have managed to intercept traffic to a valid parking payment site and dupe you into providing card details for the payment. I did see a greyed out message in the background at one point briefly, something about a monthly subscription, so I immediately disconnected the site. When I got home I checked my account and saw a validation transaction had gone through to Brainstove, I contacted them (no response) and requested a refund and cancellation of any subscription service. I was contacted this morning by my bank, they had blocked a payment request of approx £38 for Brainstove, they could also see a few checking transactions from various accounts for 1p, obviously seeing if there was any funds available for other transactions.
My bank has put a block on my account for these people and also cancelled my card. Brainstove are the scum of the earth, catching people out usually in remote locations where car park payments have to be in cash or via an an app, no card payments and network coverage is a bit sketchy.
*** Update ***
Brainstove keep trotting out the same lines about nothing to do with parking website both on here and if you contact their support. It cannot be a coincidence that so many people have the same issue. They are the only ones that benefit from this spoofing, no one else would get anything from doing this. They justify their charge by stating that you signed up and that you got a welcome email and didn't cancel within 3 days etc.
We signed up unknowingly as the details were hidden behind a spoof parking charge site, the welcome email goes straight to spam and banks obviously are aware of the scam as they block the transaction - how obvious does it need to be that they are committing criminal acts from a non-Uk location (Cyprus I believe) as well as running what some believe to be a good gaming site.

I tried to set to up the RingGo app for parking on 17th which didn't work so abandoned it. £1 pending payment was taken which I thought was them having tried to set up the app, which didn't work. 3 days later £38.95 has been taken from my account by this company Brainstove, as a continuous authority agreement payment! I have not signed up to Brainstove, who are an online games subscription service in Cyprus, or given authority for this agreement or transaction. I have emailed their support email contact, and also contacted the Fraud dept at my bank who have cancelled my card. They have had lots of calls about this apparently. I have received no emails from the company to confirm I have joined/subscribed 3 days ago, I have checked both mail/junk folder- no surprise, because I haven't. First thing was the transaction going out and a welcome email this morning. Total scam, I have not subscribed and money has been taken fraudulently. Shocking experience.
1st July - had email reply on 20th June from Brainstove saying they had cancelled my membership (which I hadn't actually set up at all with them!!!!) and said if I felt 'misled' to provide screenshots - which I can't do as I have had no involvement with them or gave them my details directly. The money still went out of my account which my bank refunded after - they confirmed they had had so many calls where this has happened to others. Brainstove have put the reply on - well how did they get my details if they say they have nothing to do with parking apps, as that is when it happened. They can't investigate of course not, as I have not signed up with them. So all very wrong. I'm not the only person this has happened to.

I too have been scammed whilst trying to park. They took £1 then tried again for £38.95 4 days later. Thankfully my bank stopped the transaction

Scammers. Took £19 out of my account without my knowledge. I dont know where they got my card details from, I dont know if there will be any more charges, no subscription or confirmation of any service, no email to check what makes them feel entitled to my money.
Update
I did find an account on my name on a gambling site, with the subscription email in my spam, and when I tried to cancel the membership, it was asking me for my card details... I just want my money back and these scammers out of my life asap

Was paying for car parking now £38 has left my account twice the car park was £1 so why’s it cost me £77 up to now. Absolute scam, it’s not a subscription service anyone signs up for your not told you don’t say anything about a subscription when paying for parking because if I knew that I would have parked somewhere else

You a thief and a scammer how could you deducted £38.45 on my account when I don't know from anywhere. It shall never be well with you on till I retrieve my money back.

As per the review below re the car park this is exactly what has happened to me to in Glasgow while trying to pay for parking. We can’t all be wrong!! Do the right thing and refund those you’ve scammed!!
I have now replied to Brainstove as after what happened I didn’t want to have any contact with them. My bank are managing this as fraud and I’ve had to cancel my debit card. U don’t expect to be subscribing to anything whilst trying to park your car in an unfamiliar city in a NCP car park!!

I was trying to register with a parking application and Brainstove piggy backed on this. I had no idea a registration had taken place. The "emails" were all in my junk mail. A very convenient move for Brainstove . I never actually used my registration number or email address on their website. It took me time to find them online. I have now been fighting with Brainstove to refund my money. You cannot charge for a service that was never taken. This will be a battle as I again will request my refund.
I would rather like to think if I was paying for Milk, I would get a bottle of milk. If I get the bottle of milk and it is not opened it can be returned and a refund is given
Brainstove is not complaint with the consumers act of Cyprus.
OK

DO NOT use this company brainstove as it is a scam as they keep taking money out from my account and they can’t refund you or me back unless you get in contact with your bank and they will help you to get your money back and then they will give you some tips on how to stay safe online and what to look out for

Never heard of them before, never used their services, and yet they still managed to deduct €39.95 from my bank account. When I emailed them with the problem, they weren't helping at all, and after some digging, I found out that a lot of people got scammed this way; getting charged without ever interacting with these scammers in any kind of way.
