Had an appointment that had to be cut short today at Boots Opticians Canary Wharf, might have been with someone called Brian. Optician started asking intrusive questions about my condition, to which I replied I was only there for the tests and that’s what I’m paying for, I asked them to skip the questions and do the tests and they refused so I left. A kind reminder to the staff at this location that opticians are not doctors and are not equipped to assess or diagnose neurological conditions.

Boots Middlebrooke in Horwich don’t communicate with their customers, yet they still take your money ! Being told I could exchange my unopened contacts as my prescription had changed plus I don’t wear them everyday, however as they have a new system, they then told me I will just have to wear my contacts? With my old prescription? I called the plans team several times plus sent several emails , only to be ignored!! After being with Boots for 20+ years , it’s not how you’d expect to get treated .

The staff and optician were very good .The only thing I was disappointed with was how long you have to wait for new glasses

This week I collected 2 new pairs of glasses from the Priory Meadow branch of Boots Opticians. The optician was excellent and explained all the choices. I have twice been back to have my glasses tightened and I would particularly like to thank Hannah, who was compassionate, kind and very helpful indeed. I will spread the word about this excellent optician and the aftercare which I received.

The service I received from staff at Falkirk High Street was excellent from start to finish. Nothing too much trouble. Dean and Ann were so helpful. 10/10 to all staff. Lily was so helpful to me on my first visit. Have been getting my glasses from Boots Opticians for over 30 years and wouldn't go anywhere else.

Case Ref No. 75482797.
* Further to my original post on 23 May 2026, Boots Opticians very kindly replied to my concerns.
* However the did not address all my concerns and I still do not really understand their invoice provided.
* Invoice was for " SUPPLY & FIT" frame and lenses.
* The "SUPPLY" of frames and lens cost £102.30.
* The" FITTING" of glasses cost £227.70. This included to ensure glasses were SAFE/ACCURATE/TAILORED.
* My recollection was this may have taken approx 1 hour.
* Therefore I payed £227.70 for one hours fitting etc of glasses.
* No disrespect to Boots Opticians, but that seems to me your labour charges are £227.70 per hour approx give or take.
* I think currently Airline Pilots average £50/hour and Trauma Surgeons possibly £120/hour.
* Any way, it is what it is and I shall just move on.

No waiting around was seen at the appointed time. Attentive and helpful Staff, who listened to me and what i wanted to achieve with the visit. Suffering with diabetes I am mindful of my eye care, the optometrist was superbly helpful giving guidance and support. A very positive visit.

While out for a walk I dropped my glasses and trod on them. They were very bent. I popped into Boots Opticians in Wimborne and got a friendly welcome. Demi was able to realign them straightaway and did a great job.

Would have scored higher if I could.
Very welcoming ...the optician had referred me for laser treatment last year - I'd forgotten all about it - she remembered!!
Excellent service - everybody was really helpful and polite - certainly moreso than the previous optician I used just a few shops away.
Can't praise the team enough...highly recommended!!

Greeted by Kieron who was very friendly and helpful. I explained that I had stupidly damaged my glasses by standing on them. He very kindly offered to repair them but explained it may not be possible and I may have to purchase new frames. He took them away and within minutes he had fixed them. Wonderful service from Kieron!! Thank you!!!

Went in to ask for a price to replace the lenses in my Glasses, I was told its not with doing at it will cost more than the frames, I said the frames were £300 now much would it cost for the lenses only. The assistant shrugged her shoulders and said im not sure, I went elsewhere and got the lenses supplied and fitted for £40.00
