Hi, Unfortunately it wasn’t great. In Boots opticians Shrewsbury Pride Hill
1 hour 32 mins for an eye test?
Suffered severe delays due to running late, then on my appointment field of vision test wasn’t done before going in to read the wall and discuss the imaging on the eye,
Optometrist obviously wanted this done, Resulting in waiting around with others wanting their test to start.
Dept manager bordering on rude upon arrival, Softened slightly with the delays, but far from a pleasant experience?
Asked her why not do field of vision tests before going through to optometrist?
Thereby resulting in various delays for myself and others?
No problem with optometrist, He was polite and couldn’t be blamed for the delays going in the waiting area, Tempted to book elsewhere next year,
Never had such chaos in a boots optician before,
I clearly wasn’t the only one suffering a delay

Excellent staff and service
I had an eye test at the Didcot store earlier this year with Osman the optician, his service was excellent. He was very thorough explaining his actions as he went and the results afterwards. He was very reassuring and positive at all times and I left feeling that it had been a very pleasant experience.
I then had cause to contact him some months later and again he was so very helpful with his actions and advice. I highly recommend this store and all its staff, Daniel on reception was also very helpful.

Went for an eyesight test for floaters in the eye. Was told after arrival that they do not deal with NHS patients. I wrote clearly that I must be examined under MECS, they never read it. Staff semi professional. Not up to the mark!
