I'm with everyone else - RUN

I'm with everyone else. I've had my Bluebird card for years, it was awesome up until about 6 months ago..give or take a few. When the website and app changed, the quality of service changed. I haven't been able to access my online banking since before April 30th. The app says that it's currently offline and I'll have to try again later. Luckily I can login to the website on my husband's phone and on my laptop. They've been holding 115$ from a hotel deposit for 2 and a half weeks now. The merchant said it was released the day I checked out. Bluebird claims they can hold it for 30 days. Since when? I've never had a deposit held for that long. I sure don't remember seeing a new terms of service agreement.. After reading all of these reviews I really REALLY regret having my tax check set to be deposited in my Bluebird account. Which I've done for the past 5+ years.. But I'm done now. I'm telling work to send my direct deposit elsewhere and as soon as I get my tax refund, while hoping none of it goes missing, I'll be hitting an ATM to clean the account out and take my money somewhere else. Thanks to Amex for selling out and keeping it a secret 👎👎

Worst Customer Service and Website and Mobile App Ever Created !

This card, in the beginning, was an okay card to have, however, some idiot came in and decided to change the perfectly good mobile app where you could pay your bills, etc. and create , I think, the worst app ever made by man-kind ! Its hard to believe how bad the customer service is too ! The reviews in here speak the truth, 100% about how bad it really is. American Express thought out-sourcing customer service to the Philippines was a way to save money but business 101 says making your customers hate the service because of rude, unqualified and incompetent customer service, will end up losing millions of current customers ! Where is the money savings in that. If I could give this card a 'ZERO" I would. American Express took something away from all their customers by changing something not only that was doing fine and that everyone loved in the beginning and let some moron come in a change everything to something everyone hates ! You can also check all the horrible reviews on Google Play too regarding their new and NOT improved mobile app !

DO NOT!!

My son has a Bluebird card. While he was at work, someone broke into his car and stole his card, which was hidden under a rubber mat in the center console. They rifled the car. The thieves then proceeded to drain his account of $800+ at convenience stores, walmart and dollar general. He made a police report and filed a claim with Bluebird. It was denied and came back as "valid charges".

What's funny is That I am a fraud Investigator for a Large, nationwide bank here in the U.S. I know our process, never mind that, Regulation E that is a national regulation that covers this very thing. All banks are supposed to be the same, under the same federal regulations we all have to abide by. There is no way that this was investigated. The merchant would have to identify my son as the one that made the transaction, or have him on camera doing so, in order for the charges to be valid. Obviously they weren't. We are going to take steps to recover the money.

By the way, just to help inform, I read other reviews on this site where people are saying "the bank blocked my card to protect me from myself" etc. No bank blocks your card. There are thousands of transactions per hour. No one sits there and watches and decides to block a card. All debit card transactions run through a database called FALCON. That is what blocks the cards. It watches and learns how every card is used. If you always use your card on the internet, then all the sudden use it at a store, it can block. If you always use your card around your area, then go out of town and use it, it WILL block.(call your bank before you go and have them put in a travel note). If you always use the mag stripe to swipe your card, then one day do a chip read, it may block. on and on. Just letting you know that your bank didn't block your card. They don't know until you call and tell them. Then they look in falcon and unblock for you. I understand it's an inconvenience but better a 15 min phone call to the bank than being wiped out financially.

Blue bird american express has the WORST "customer service"

Blue bird american express has the WORST customer service! Horrible, Rude, unhelpful people who hang up on you and don't even let you finish your question. One person trying to hang up said "yeah well I'm getting a lot of calls"....uh what!? it's your job to answer questions! If i hung up one people when I worked in customer service i would have been Fired! Atrocious!
Their site never works, you get locked out of your account and can't get ANY help. Try calling in and it's nothing but a robot menu impossible to get anywhere. Completely dissatisfied!

HORRIBLE

Had the card since 2010 - USED TO BE EASY TO USE! Impossible to use now! They keep shutting my card off or denying payment at register - to protect me from myself! Buying Easter Baskets on the Saturday before Easter SUSPICIOUS - so my purchase is denied - then you have to call - go through all the prompts VERIFY that it's you, and then they lift the lock, an HOUR AFTER YOU TRIED TO PAY. Then, God forbid you should follow their directions and try to check your balance on line - each and every time they email you a CODE, but you NEVER get the code - so you try again, and again NO CODE, so they LOCK your account because they didn't send you the code...then....you guessed it - you have to call them again, go thru the whole rigaramole again, then they condesendingly unlock the account. In the past three months 11 times I had to go thru this, my suspicious purchases were 1. Baby food 2. RX 3. Walmart 4. Albertson's 5. Easter baskets 6. Cash back 7. ATM 8. checking balance by phone 9. Subway 10. ATM 11. Check balance online. ENOUGH ALREADY!!!! Needless to say, I have cancelled my direct deposit and am using another card. I will run the money left on the card and after 10 years, I AM DONE.

Don’t go with this card

This would be zero stars but they don’t give you that option. Don’t get sucked into this card, they charged my card twice for the same amount $292.00, same restaurant but 14 days apart. I only ate there once and it was a special occasion. I called there customer service which is located in the Philippines (there is no customer service in the USA) and they had no clue what they were doing. If I call the fraud department they immediately want to cancel your card, huge problem since I do direct deposit right to my card. The restaurant checked twice with their merchant services and determined it was on Bluebird’s end. I had to cancel my direct deposit and start a fraud claim which could take up to 45 days, that’s a lot of money for me to be waiting for 45 days to get back!!!! Word to the wise don’t do it!!!!

Eleven thousand dollars missing!

I am on hold again. My 8th time speaking to someone and either disconnected or placed on an endless hold. I only called to pre authorize a check and they sent an email that I needed to call in to verify my account, which I did. Got transferred to someone else to process my check but instead she processed a check by withdrawal which supposedly takes 7-10 business days. I did not request this and asked that it be canceled and my money put back in my account. After 8 times, no one can get it done and my money is gone. They took over 11k out of my account. I believe we are actually going to have to sue them. This is literally all of n our money sitting somewhere out there. I have been a customer for years and have never had a single problem. What is going on?

I had 4 unauthorized charges on my…

I had 4 unauthorized charges on my bluebird card in March. Tried for weeks to call, waiting on hold for hours if they even answered at all. Finally, I called the amex number. They called bluebird for me & I got a live person. Theres 2 people in the fraud department,a guy & a girl. The guy was going to email me a "declaration of fraud" form. The email takes me to a page that says "the page you are looking for doesn't exist." ???????? So I call back, twice, the girl tells me there's nothing wrong on their end. I tell her I need the form faxed to me. She says she cannot fax. I look up the fax number, send them the texts from 3/13,asking if I tried to charge $100 to tictok ads, which I replied "NO" also the email saying the charge was declined, and the 4 transaction numbers. (This was all on 3/13. They took $350 out on 3/14.). Faxed them everything, which you have 10 days to get this form & proof back to them. Filed a complaint with the BBB. I got my money back within the week. Bottom line is: the people at the fraud dept. are the ones taking everyone's money. When I tried to call those 2 days & was on hold for a total of 6 hours, there was 2 different recorded messages, and when fraud finally answered, they would want my full card number, the answer to my security question, and my full sssocial security number. I told them NO, they didn't need for me to give them any of that, thesy had that info. The only thing I would give them was my birthdate,LAST four of my social, n my address to verify it was me. They hated every minute of my calls. They obviously didn't want me to fill out that form n have it back in 10 days so I could get my money back. I went online and wrote my own "declaration of fraud" form. The fraud dept is located overseas somewhere. You can hear animals in the background. If you have fraudulant charges, fax them the "form" & your proof, don't call, you won't get anywhere. And definitely file a complaint with the BBB, I believed that helped. Hope this helps.

Undoubtedly the worst website

I’ve been a member of bluebird for 6+ years and I’ve got to say since they changed the app it has been an absolute nightmare. I cannot reload from my bank account without being forwarded to the web browser. Undoubtedly the worst website, worst app. How a company can put a app on line that is not complete and you cannot use all the app I not know. But I will close my account.

Bluebird not really AMEX any more

Bluebird holding a $60 credit return from Walmart. Why do they do this?
Bluebird no longer issued by AMEX but a sketchy company known as InComm based in the Atlanta area and using the Amex name. They claim they are based in Fortson, GA.
InComm is known for issuing gift cards, Vanilla Cards and vanilla reload cards.
They are not a company that thrives on good customer service.

Ever since they changed the app it has…

Ever since they changed the app it has been an absolute nightmare. Basic functionality that was always there, like transferring money in and out of your account, is no longer there and he balance on the "goals" (formerly savings) account can now be hard to find. At first I thought they would probably fix these problems but no. It has now been many months and if anything it has only gotten worse. Absolutely THE WORST app ever.
