Rude customer service
Hello: I was at the Bay and Dundas store a short while ago and approached one of the service people, a young brown guy, a question. He was busy texting on his phone and did not even look up as I said hello. After I asked if he still had a certain product in stock, he replied with a single “No” and went back to texting. So much for “customer service”. Not sure I will run back to Best Buy if I need something else in the future.
Visited the store expecting help…
Visited the store expecting help choosing a laptop, but the service was very unprofessional. Staff seemed uninterested and gave unclear information about availability. Products advertised online were not actually in stock, and I felt pressured to buy more expensive options. Unfortunately, not a good customer experience and I won’t be coming back.
Best Buy "Canada" Not Canadian
Do not order from Best Buy because: you are not ordering from Best Buy. It's not like walking into a store and buying their merchandise, as you would expect and as they present it, they are simply a middle-man website for third-party vendors, mostly outside of Canada, using their own sketchy delivery services and with no quality screening by Best Buy. Even going through their customer service system presents itself as being done by and from Best Buy, so I sent Best Buy concerns about their third-party seller, which was then instantly whisked away TO the third-party seller and never seen by Best Buy.
If you want to support Canadian business, go to a local business. Best Buy "Canada" will happily send your money overseas while washing their hands of the actual product you ordered that may never arrive and likely not in its advertised condition.
Cheated by Regina Best Buy
Last Year I bought a new (not refurbished) HP Colour Laser Printer with a five year Product Support Plan for over $700 As I constantly had problems with it that could not be resolved, I took it back after 4 months for an exchange. The head of service at Regina';s Best Buy outright lied to me and said my extended warranty was only valid for 90 days and I would have to pay $50 just to have the printer looked at. I argued for a while as I had the product plan right with me. In the end I had to recycle the printer and pay another $700 to buy a printer from Staples. I used to spend $2000 a year at Best Buy. Never again after being lied to and cheated.
Great experience thanks best buy for…bestbuy best impression

You will be disappointed and they don't care
This is after a few purchases later and a few stalled delivery attempts from purolator who is in bed with bestbuy and takes no accountability for delivering on time.
Two purchases from bestbuy. The previous one was a Laptop which was masquerading as functional device which did not show the battery life was only 1 hour. This was not included in the online specs and bestbuy dont care to ensure vendor put vital information like this in their listing and when you leave an online review it appears the manufacturer asus has people who left them first couple reviews so when you leave a honest low star review the previous reviewers who had left 5 stars respond claiming your low star review is unhelpful.
I purchased a mini fridge for my room while I was supposed to on bed rest and purolator who was to deliver it from pickup point within 30 mins had it travelling multiple cities and status was "routing error" even on day they claimed it will be delivered they expect you be available between 8am-9pm and then still don't deliver. item transferring back and forth and when you call to speak to besybuy agents they pull rank telling you you should speak to them when they clearly advise only supervisor can help wasting time, pulling ranks and then dropping multiple calls without calling back and using the
"maam" card to tell you if you don't like the bs they are saying they will end call. Supervisors also take offense and is waste of time as they expect you to wait for purolator to sort out their delays. I requested item return to bestbuy who decided I must wait for purolator to sort out their sh*t then after I can choose to reject item and wait again for them to decide to return item before I can be expected to get refund. I have left reviews on purolator trustpilot which has over 7330 one star review with several reviews within an hour. I would not take anything from Bestybuy even if they handed it to me for free. That is reason I left my bed and took uber to Walmart and bought the same item spending an extra $80 on commute and tips and got the item in my home same day. While bestbuy and purolator in bed and expect customer to sit around waiting for delivery other companies have the items so they tie up yours funds. I bought the item anyway and now despite purolator supervisor request item be returned to sender they still have item sending out on truck by purolator attempting to either force deliver or have driver drop off claiming they have to follow process meanwhile a clear request to intercept package which means it should not be even onroute to leave shipping depot much more be on truck to be attempting delivery or rejected, Either way if it is claimed that someone attempts to leave item or sign for item I will not hesitate to leave further reviews, seek legal recourse, make follow up social media post or share this with my podcast viewers spanning over 175 countries.
I have already decided to shop with Staples who I shopped with before I knew of best buy or Apple. Thanks for ensuring I know you are not a reputable company and know never to attempt shopping with you ever again as you are not worth it.
Don't attempt to respond as you will be ignored given that I gave you plenty of opportunities even your waste of space supervisors and agents pretending to be authorized to act as supervisors refusing customers request for managers.
Gift cards not valid unless you use credit card
I got a gift cards to Best Buy during Christmas. I forgot about them. Didn’t really think about them too much. Recently, I’ve lost my AirPods so I thought this is a perfect moment to use those gift cards. I go online to make an order. I using the gift cards. They say the gift cards are valid yet they cancelled my order over and over again. I go in store, they say that they don’t have my product in store. I have to order it online. But again online keeps cancelling my orders. I finally speak to an agent they say I have to add a credit card. I really hate having to give them any information about me now I have to give you my banking information as well. I don’t know who came up at the rule where you have to put your credit card information in if you’re using a valid gift card that they themselves have confirmed is valid. They say it’s a safety concern… but for who? So if I give this gift card to my niece or nephew they basically can’t use it either. I already hated this store now I’ll spend the rest of my life talking shit about them
Best Buy Disappointing
I recently purchased a new computer from Best Buy, and unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing.
It has now been nearly three weeks since my purchase, and I still have not received my item.
The main issue has been with customer service and their handling of the shipping problem. Despite multiple attempts to get answers, l've been met with vague responses and a clear lack of urgency or accountability.
What's most frustrating is the complete lack of transparency.
I've been told that they are unable or unwilling to share any details about their communication with the shipping provider. As a
customer, this leaves me in the dark with no way to verify whether anything is actually being done to resolve the issue.
At this point, it feels like whether or not I receive my purchase is not a priority. After spending a significant amount of money, I expected a much higher level of service and support.
I hope this review encourages improvements in how shipping issues are handled, particularly when it comes to communication and accountability. Customers deserve to feel confident that their concerns are being taken seriously.
Until this is resolved, I cannot recommend purchasing online from Best Buy.

The staff at Best Buy Montreal Ste Catherine TV section is very poor and not to be trusted. What's on sale is out of stock and then the upselling begins. One employee straight out lied to me. i won't be returning to Best Buy.
Worst Retail Experience Online/Offline of all time
I bought a laptop from a marketplace seller on March 5th. It arrived damaged and it took me a couple of days to get a hold of them to arrange for a return. I really just wanted a replacement, but they couldn't guarantee anything before looking at the laptop. It was received back on March 18 and they asked for 10 business days to examine it. I asked about a replacement again, no real answer and no apology for sending a damaged laptop. After 7 business days, I asked again and they said they could do a refund. So I asked for a refund. Escalated to Best Buy customer service after no answer. Back and forth about how long it takes to process a refund and finally they said they processed the refund on March 29th and it would take 3-5 business days. 5 business days later, contacted Best Buy again to check whether it was processed. Oh yes, it was. Give us another 2 days. So I did. Got a message saying there was an error and it has now been processed as of April 8th. It will take another 3-5 business days. So I reached out to Best Buy to see whether I could lodge a complaint. No - nowhere to complain to. Just the seller. I posted 3 reviews - none of them showed up. I asked customer service escalation to reach out 4 times, nothing. Never again Best Buy. I have spent so much money there over the years. Their loss. Don't do it people. Terrible.

* Buyer Beware *
* Buyer Beware *
Best Buy does not accept Marketplace seller return items, even if the hardware is defective. They will offer 0 support or assistance whatsoever in returning these items. Read the fine print, and honestly if you can... Just skip the middleman buy your hardware direct from the manufacturer, at least they will stand behind their products with minimum warranty's. Save your time, frustration and money.
Buyer Beware!!!
On Easter Friday I was excited to see that the Apple Watch I wanted was on sale for $475. It was Apple Watch series 11 42 mm jet black ( gps) s/m. I purchased it and was waiting for the long weekend to end so I could finally have it. Easter Monday I get a cal from some third party company that sells through Best Buy’s company. Had no idea it was a third party purchase until after I paid. The lady on the phone said the watch I purchased was cancelled by accident and I needed to rebuy it. Also said I would get it for the same price. When I got off the phone I checked my credit card online and it didn’t show it was cancelled. So I jumped on Best Buy and looked in my account. At first it didn’t show cancelled. So I contacted the chat bot and asked to speak to a person. Ronald came on and I explained the situation to him and he said he would for sure make things right. That he did not! Asked me to hold on while he looked into it. He comes back saying it was out of stock, I told him the lady said to go back on Best Buy and rebuy it. I explained that when I click the link to the watch in my order that the price went up to $599! He then said when I bought the watch the price was posted in error. I said the lady said I would still get it for $475 so he said rebuy the watch then contact the third part company to get them to change the price to $475 after I put it on my card. Absolutely ridiculous! I bought the watch from Best Buy now I gotta track down their sketchy ppl they let sell under their name. Also would have over $1000 on my credit card for an Apple Watch. He did say it would take 5-10 business days to see the refund for the watch that was cancelled but the whole experience has so many red flags I’m not so sure I’ll even get the refund for the watch. I’ve bought so many large ticket items from Best Buy and that is the absolute last. I will make sure it gets refunded but what a joke bet buy has become.
I did not receive the Steam Deck that I Ordered
I did not receive the Steam Deck that I ordered. Instead, a third‑party seller sent an entirely different item and then attempted to blame me for their mistake.
I provided Best Buy support with extensive proof, including:
Clear photos of the item I actually received
Documentation of the seller’s questionable practices
Multiple similar reviews describing the same issue with this exact seller
Despite all this evidence, Best Buy support refused to help and chose to side with their third‑party seller. There was no meaningful investigation, no accountability, and no customer protection—despite this purchase being made through Best Buy’s platform.
Thankfully, I paid using PayPal. After reviewing the same evidence that Best Buy ignored, PayPal ruled in my favor and resolved the issue appropriately.
While the third‑party seller’s behavior is unacceptable, the real issue here is Best Buy’s handling of Marketplace orders. By allowing unreliable sellers on their platform and refusing to support customers when clear problems arise, Best Buy effectively abandons responsibility once something goes wrong.
There is a reason this Best Buy has consistently low reviews—but there is now also a reason to be cautious with Best Buy Marketplace as a whole. If you choose to buy from Best Buy’s third‑party sellers, use PayPal or a credit card with strong buyer protection, because Best Buy support will not protect you.
Best buy pro marketplace has been a…
Best buy pro marketplace has been a nightmare these guys are nothing but scammers they take your products and your money take months to pay it back you should see the way they present themselves its disgusting to see a big time cooperation act like theifs its crazy that no one has done anything about this
Extremely terrible service
Extremely terrible service I ordered online it was accepted. I paid. I waited four days then get an email that it’s cancelled as it’s discontinued. They would not replace it with equal value. The manager didn’t seem to care just said I’ll give you 10% off your next item which is unacceptable as I needed this item today,it was going to be delivered today. he refused to give me a replacement value item, which is what any honourable store would do very poor service. I will never ever deal with Best Buy again
Horrible Customer service experience
Unfortunately on March 2nd I bought a refurbished pair of Apple AirPods from a seller through best buy not knowing that if for any reason you don’t receive the item they have to refund you the money. Best Buy is not responsible for for refunding the money. I have been dealing with this for 30 days. I have been contacting Best Buy and they have washed their hands of the situation and said I have to wait for the seller to give the money back or make a claim with PayPal. I have never experienced such poor customer service from a company before. I have beignet experience this before with other large brands like SHEIN, Temu or Amazon.
The service and response has always been great
Am not sure what the negative reviews are all about. But I have had great service all the time. Today we had to go in for my Ipad, as it was not allowing me to log in. The manaager pated a tech, (Adam) he came up in minutes, did what he had to do and I was out in under 15 min. true they were not too busy, but even in the past the service was great. Thanks for great service always
Best Buy Marketplace
I ordered a computer program through Best Buy's Marketplace. I was charged twice for it on my credit card. Then when the product was sent to us as a program that could be loaded with a code online, it did not work with our computer. I have been attempting a refund for the amount charged twice for three months now and their agent(s) keep telling me they will expediate my case. When I ask when someone will contact us with their answer; they cannot give me a date or time only thank me for my concern. As such I would suggest that buyers think twice before using Best Buy's Marketplace. Not trustworthy. As well we had a second experience, in store, being told their warranty program was excellent but when we attempted to use it to have an over heating cell phone replaced, we were informed of a $224.00 service fee that was not mentioned at the time of purchase, nor is it mentioned in their written contract. Hmmmm? I wrote their customer service department but have not heard back from them. Not considered good customer service nor are their warranty programs worth purchasing. Certainly from a good business practices standpoint, they do not provide "full disclosure."
Never purchase from Best Buy
I’ve tried writing this review on the Best Buy site but I’m fairly confident they’re blocking the negative reviews. I’ve had a horrible experience with their “customer service” team. I ordered an iPhone for my husbands birthday, received a drone. Brought it into the store within 15ish minutes of it being delivered as I needed it for his birthday (they were originally out of stock in store). They said since it was from a different store (Ontario) they weren’t able to refund me the money nor issue me an actual iPhone. Instead they took the drone and opened a case number for an investigation. I was assured I would 100% receive my money back within 3-5 business days - so I purchased an iPhone in store that day leaving an additional $1800 charge on my credit card. At day 5 they then said it was 5-10 business days and there was no manager to speak to on the customer service number. Day 10 (full business days) they now tell me the investigation was NOT opened until the 5th business day (1 week after bringing it into the store) and it would be another 4 business days. This is absolutely ridiculous. The absolute worst customer service ever. This reassures us on why we never shop at Best Buy. We only chose to do so because we had a gift card to use for a portion of the first iPhone. Which now we’re sitting $1800 in the hole - aka fraud. Charged for an item we never received. I even provided the video of the UPS driver delivering a very large box, clearly not a phone. I don’t know what there is to investigate here but I do know I am now at the point of calling the fraud department for my Visa. Do not purchase any products from Best Buy. Honestly, not sure how they are still in business.
