I have to say i was reluctant to list my business with Baton, but i must say that i am glad i did and it was a very positive experience. My broker Fahad was very responsive in answering my questions and he did excellent job working with me on my listing and also working with me on the multiple offers we received.
Spend the extra time and give them what they need to do their job answering all the questions and take the time to do the series of videos. If you have a successful business that people want to buy & you dont over value your business and follow there steps ,then you will have better success in selling your business. Be patient ! Having said all that i did not end up selling my business. This was my choice , and not the lack of a successful team that worked with me during the whole process. Good luck
They sent me an email saying they had just sold a business like mine and had interesting buyers. BS!!! I even inquired before hand about minimum revenue threshold, then had a call, only to find out they have no clue what my business is and had not sold anything similar.
We had a fantastic experience selling our business with Baton. The onboarding was a breeze. They answered all my questions...and I'm really a pain to deal with - especially with something as important as selling my first "baby." But everyone was patient with me and put up with my desire to control things and understand all the details.
I really liked the Dashboard and using it to see leads and connect with our advisor Reid. He was always responsive and helpful when I had any questions or concerns about the process and very easy to reach.
Yes, it was a waiting game, but we had several leads over the 8 month period, a couple zoom calls with interested parties, and then Baton connected us to our buyers. You can't get much better than reaching the objective!
Overall, I am thoroughly pleased with the level of service I received from Baton! We were able to literally "pass the baton" to the new owners because of Baton Market and I couldn't be more thrilled!
I received a cold email reaching out to me about selling my business. I rarely respond to these, but thought since Baton's reviews seemed solid I would set up a call for today. Got on Zoom at the time the time we agreed to and no one showed up. This is not a way to run a business.

I used Baton to sell my small business and retired. They were instrumental from the valuation till after closing, assisting me all along and guiding me through the entire process.
Their fee was very competitive but I also chose them because their approach was very tech and data based, unlike more traditional old fashioned brokers. The M&A background from advisors allows us to get a good valuation and an even better price from buyers.
Through the negotiation, while I was always the one making decision, they were also advising me on what was not reasonable of an ask, what was customary, and what was not on each side. It was valuable as a seller like me with no experience selling a small business before.
Their dashboard kept improving during the process and give s a good understanding and visibility of what is happening.
I really like the fact I had an entire team supporting me and the transaction, solving issues and pushing the deal through.
FInally, they have a strong and solid technology : in case of litigation from the buyer for misrepresentation or such, all exchanges, reports, meetings, emails are securely backed up and can be accessed if need be.
I would use them again if I were to sell another business.

Sign up was not smooth. Seemed to have infinite loop issues. Listings were marked as "Under contract"almost as soon as I filled up detailed form. Listings disappeared after I sent a message to the owner. Not sure what is happening behind the scenes. Poor user experience.

When I first contacted Baton Marketing, I was very interested in the way they did business and looking for buyers and of course seller like me. After a few meeting my partner and I decided to go and give it a
try. Working with our rep, we when through and fill out paperwork about our company and also did a few video's that help set up with question for us to answer. To our surprise, within a week we had buyers showing interested in our company and after 2 months we found a buyer. I was told our sale was quicker them most, but with their help and support working with the buyers, it all came together quickly.
They were great to work with and more important they did what they said they do throughout the sales process.

The process from the initial call was terrific. Their "prospector" cold called me and being in sales for 40+ years I was skeptical to say the least. But as she/Alex explained the process the more interested I became. At the end of the call, I was very engaged and wanted to learn more. Then I was put in touch with Reid K, who is nothing short of a gem and a pro. Patient, thorough, professional and easy to work with. Trying to sell a business on my own was potentially an extremely daunting process. Once committed, Reid and his team took care of all the documentation/financials, which were all uploaded to their portal so I didn't have to submit every time a prospective buyer contacted me to ask and then I would have had to get NDA's on every potential buyer and vet them myself. Baton vetted everyone and once deemed viable, set up short discovery calls for the buyers tand myself to ask questions and determine levels of interest. Once a buyer was secured, and an LOI was submitted, Reid/Baton took care of the process from escrow, to legal, to purchase and sale agreements +++. At the end of the day, even though the transaction took a bit longer than hoped for, it had nothing to do with Baton. Do yourselves a huge favor, have Baton handle all your transactions, you'll save a ton of time, aggravation, and in the end, money. They are a valuable cost effective resource with all the tools rolled into one neat package. So glad they "found" me.

Interesting platform.
I like that it helps streamline the front end of the business buying process. It goes from reviewing a listing to signing an NDA to gaining access to the data room much faster and way easier. Love that it's one NDA for all businesses on the platform.
After that, however, I'm less in love. If you have follow up questions or want to talk to the broker, it's still an automated process - that can take up to 7 days for a reply! In my experience, time kills all deals. I'd like the opportunity to chat with a broker way sooner than that.

Lots of interested buyers and 3 serious offers thanks to Baton. I got a free valuation with Baton and 1 year later, after getting some helpful advice from them, decided to use them to sell my business. I picked them because they seemed modern, thorough, and considerably cheaper than other brokers and I do not regret it. Baton was extremely communicative through the process as we received interest from hundreds of buyers and negotiated 3 competing offers for my business. I did provide some feedback after that I wish that they were more hands-on during the closing process which I am told they really focus on now! Even after the deal closed and Baton was paid, the team still took time to discuss the transition with me. I am now running a business to support women entrepreneurs and recommend that many of them use Baton to get a valuation and evaluate selling with the Baton team!
