Excellent service

Excellent service especially I had originally given an incorrect delivery address. Averys sorted this out despite being close over the weekend.

Who reads the label?

The Avery part of the order was, as usual, excellent. The problem, or concern is the delivery. “ Deliver to rear doorstep” is on the box.
The delivery drivers mostly seem incapable of reading this! The box is often left on a lower front step, which is open to the pavement, and at a bus stop. The drivers ring the bell once and leave. I am unfortunately chair-bound, and if my wife does not answer the door within seconds the driver is out of sight, leaving a too heavy package to be dealt with by an ageing person. Yodel are the worst culprits with DpD not perfect, but better,

This order shows why I love using…

This order shows why I love using Averys. My mother in law wanted some 20cl bottles of Prosecco, but not the usual ’rubbish’ (her words!) from the supermarket. Not only did Averys have a selection of 20cl Prosecco, but these are actually delicious (her words again!). Add to that good prices and fast delivery and my joy is complete!

AVOID - They take money out of your bank account

AVOID - Bought a case of wine from them, all ok, the wine wasn't great but the service was fine, however 12 months later i noticed they took £29.99 from my bank account, when I looked deeper they had taken another £29.99 6 months earlier, I called them and they advised me this was an annual fee for free delivery, I explained I had purchased 1 case of wine and never wanted free annual delivery and if its 'annual' why have they taken another fee 6 months later! they agree it was a mistake and will refund me, a month later nothing, so I called and they said the credit card refund was refused, it was the correct card and no one had contacted me but I gave them my bank account details and was promised a refund, 2 weeks later nothing, called them and was told they had emailed me for my bank details! of course no email had been received and I had already given them my bank details, but I gave it to them again, a week later and nothing, another call and they have sent me an email (never received, checked junk, nothing) another phone call and its still being processed, I wouldn't be surprised to hear they have gone out of business very shortly.

Great advisor and quick delivery

Advisor regularly calls to let me know what deals are on and also lets me know when unusual favourites are coming into stock, delivery is always quick and tracked they always ask when is best, as a bonus some of the prices get knocked down as well

Will definitely use Averys again.

This was a ‘last-minute’ decision to send a birthday gift to a friend who lives hundreds of miles from us. It was our first order via Averys and the Customer Service agent was exceptional, giving us advice and also guided us through the process. All went very well…The wines arrived in time and were much appreciated by the recipient. An extremely good initial impression of Averys and we will definitely use them in future.

The delivery firm Yodel let Averys down

The delivery firm Yodel informed me incorrectly that they had delivered when in fact they hadn’t creating confusion with us trying to find the case which wasn’t there. This firm has let Averys down with me before. Do something about this please.

I can see from the tracking that the carriers incorrectly scanned the wines as being delivered on 11th February but the wines were not actually delivered until the 13th. I am so sorry for the confusion this will have caused and we will make sure this is raised so it's fed back to the driver.

Delivered promptly

Delivered promptly & since it was a gift for my daughter & son in law, they are very happy with their first tasting of wine from the selection. Avery’s has always been good.
