Worst internet banking ever

Worst internet banking ever. You don't get any benefit. They won't speak to you an the phone- email only. You will get constant review and restrictions on your account, for no apparent reasons. It does take up to 15 working days to refund monies back to your original source of payments. They think their special but they need to learn from Monzo. They closed my account today because I have asked them for an explanation of reviewing my account- for past 3 weeks. Don't waste time with them and stick to N26 and Monzo's alike.

Don't trust them- horrible communication!

I have never experienced such poor communication and service EVER! I cannot begin to explain how poor the communication is with this service. They closed my account stating that there has been no activity for 6 months when the t was activity merely 3 months ago. I called up the costumer service line- absolutely useless. I don't to their supposed costumer relation manager- a seemingly inexperienced rude inpatient staff named Aron. Each time I called them all I was told was to email compliance team- for over a month, my account was blocked and despite sending proof of my ID my matter was never resolved until they finally closed my account on a basis of a lie that I haven't used my account for 6 months. Now I need my statement for tax purposes and that is seeming long winded and impossible.
Basically, this is the most horrendous b service I've ever used for my banking. Wouldn't recommend it to even a dog. Seriously disgusted by how my matter was treated.

Good Morning Claire,

Thank you for your review, I can see that you had raised this previously with our Customer Support Team, who discussed this with you, and explained the process required. We do not offer an overdraft facility on our accounts and at times will be required to restrict access to prevent an account going further overdrawn. I can also see that you have responded to our email, and this has now been resolved.

Many Thanks
Arro Team

Account under review - sorted really quickly

I had an issue on Friday afternoon with my account being placed under review and I got into a panic as my wages had been paid in and I needed them for the weekend. I rang and sent an email and was advised why the account was under review - I had used the account to top up my Bet365 account which rang alarm bells as it is against their terms of service to use the account solely for gambling purposes. My own stupid fault.

I emailed them to explain that I use the account for a variety of reasons (rent, bills etc) and within 90 minutes of the account being placed under review it was reinstated and all was good.

I have to say, I was panicking at the time but the speed of response and service was excellent.

ARRO IS NOT AS BAD AS PAINTED

ARRO IS NOT AS BAD AS PAINTED:
I am surprised at the scale of negative reviews am reading judging from my experience. Of all the fintech companies around that I do business with they have the best security / encryption ring fence around our money and it will be near impossible for any intruder to take money out of Arro customers account except the owner is overly careless. Again my account with them has been running fine with no issues so far. Arro from my experience is a good upstart company that needs our encouragement and support, therefore why not give them a chance rather than outright condemnation. I know there might be teething problems but we shouldn't lose sight of their good side. I my not be in d know of individual cases and why they took some decisions, but I will offer general advise to the company based on reviews I ve read. Arro should try to attend and conclude privately any problem with customers asap before it gets to public. Impression matters a lot for any service company so u need to manage public views with utmost care, it can make or mar a good company. It will be better Arro has a way of engaging dissatisfied customers privately until resolution is arrived at, than being too fixated with laws rules which I know most customers dislike. Therefore it will be helpful to quote and apply the rules & laws with some element of human face, few rival fintech companies use that approach still they did not compromise on service quality or integrity test. I will be glad if my fellow customers will be a bit patient with this company because they have something good in the industry

AVOID...

Only been apart of this company for less than 2 weeks and already off to a terrible start. Soon as MY money entered my account is was 'under review'. They asked for 2 pictures one of me holding my ID with my face and then a second with just the front of my ID, I did this straight away with my driver licence which I used to sign up with.

After this nothing happened so I sent an E-Mail to the team about wanting my funds back and that I will be looking to leave Arro. This unblocked my account so I could see my transaction, I made 1 payment out the account to help a friend with his business and was looking to withdraw the rest.

Upon wanting to send the money to my main account I was constantly coming across the error code '1112'. I would put all the correct details in sort code and account number even entered the number they send via text message to ensure your doing it correctly.

I E-Mailed back and they said 'Try a different account'. I've then tried several accounts. Parents, Friends and My Family ALL of which were UNSUCCESSFUL.

Straight after this my account is currently under review AGAIN and now don't have access to my money again. I've E-Mail the support team again and again and nothing. They keep sending the same generated E-Mail. Wait for someone to speak to you from this team or wait for a E-Mail.

Please avoid this company at all costs!
I've lost over £370 which is supposed to be for my sons guitar lessons and an end of SATs treat. Arro don't care about its customers only the money in the account.

I will be taking matters further.

Please don't comment on this review ARRO as I've read through all the reviews and don't want the same automated message on here so that it looks like your going to do something about it but not.

ARRO MONEY SCAM. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM IT AT ALL COST. These Arro bandits suspended my account since October 10, 2018 and till date they are still keeping my GBP 1770. I need my money returned as this has taken way too long than expected. This is pure madness and wickedness of the 1st order.

Ive been using y Arro for a while now

Ive been using y Arro for a while now. I dont have any issues with it. So I’m confused why people say they get their card suspended? All my money goes in there, student finance and wages. No issue at all, sometimes the transfer to money to someone can take a while but that’s not a problem. Any issues I had , Arro have been more than helpful. Always received my money on time & I feel safe to bank with them. The card is good, and since I had it from last year everything has been great since.

Watch out untrustworthy banking only great when you are signing up!

A week ago I would have given a decent review until my account was suspended for being overdrawn for under a fiver. I was only sent one reminder and when I address the issue and sent money to the account they asked me for further info regarding the source of my credit into the account which is £2000. I supplied proof of where the money came from and a screen shot of my passport. The very same, they used to open the account! Now in the past 2-3 days they have totally ignored me! Not answered any of my questions or emails but think it's acceptable to hold on to my money despite - finally instructing them to close my account.

Unfortunately quoting FCA regulations doesn't mean you follow them. I don't think this bank is financially sound - I'm sure if it was £200 or £20 would not be placing this review!

My real concern is what are they doing with their clients money! Just a word of warning if you insist on using this banking outfit please keep your balance to a minimum!!

Whoever reads this please keep an eye out as I will supply more factual information about these people - I don’t believe they have their account holders best interest at heart.

Gonna have to go the legal route!! these are the guys (Below) that are behind this financial startup -read the other reviews for yourself.

Response to Arro 17.36 4th April 2019

Again you have not responded to my last 2 emails and therefore not following FCA protocol. Unless you are requesting me to make a formal complaint!!

Further to response to customers activities if a bank has an issue with a particular customer account any payments are automatically returned it to source until the account issues have been addressed.

In this case like so many others it appears you just sit on account holders money that doesn't belong to you - sitting behind the same statement of FCA regulations and terms and conditions!

Being in touch means responding to your customer! Not sure if you communicate with your team....

Good Afternoon Christopher,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review on Trustpilot, I can see from our records that you are already in communication regarding this, with the relevant teams, and they are awaiting you to provide the relevant documentation as requested. Arro are regulated by the FCA and as such on occasion we have to suspend accounts to investigate account activity or close accounts in the interests of ensuring customer security, this is in line with industry standards and our terms and conditions.

Take your money, tell you one thing but do another - STAY AWAY

Please read my other reviews of this company to see full details of how they have taken £3600 of my money and held it since 1st Nov 2018 (and still have it). I have had nothing but hell with them for over 4.5 months trying to get my money back.

The latest update:

On 11th March 2019 they informed me, multiple times in writing, that they had returned my money that they had held since 1st Nov 2018.

It is now 14 days later and not a single penny has been returned.

They are now subject to investigations by the FCA, Financial Ombudsman Service and Action Fraud. If you've experienced similar I suggest you make complaints to all three of these too.

I have had to resort to submitting a freedom on information data request to attempt to get details of my account balance when they closed it (and locked me out of my online account) & return transaction details as they refuse to provide me with this simple information.

If you're considering becoming a customer of Arro, then I'd honestly give it a second and third thought. Other challenger banks are out there with MUCH better customer reviews. Is it worth the risk of your money being held for months upon months?

EDIT - In reply to Arro's response...

This just shows you simply do not read customer queries. I am asking where my money is given you said you returned it 14 days ago. I am not asking why you closed my account.

Hello, we're afraid that we can't give any more information about why we closed your account here on Trustpilot. We are regulated by the FCA, which means we have to follow their rules around what we can say. However, we don't close accounts without a good reason, and we do everything we can to make sure that people aren't left in a bad situation.
