I have been buying from Aquatropics for over a year. The quality of the fish, and snails I have bought is outstanding. I continue to be amazed when the insulated polystyrene boxes and the occupants are all good and healthy.
Of recent I needed some advice from the team at Aquatropics, and a very kind and helpful chap named Andy answered my questions answered over the phone and emails.
Because of the service delivery from Andy I will continue to buy from Aquatropics.

Second time I have used aquatropics for my fish purchase. The fish arrived in a very carefully packaged box and my shrimps had some food accompanying them,all in good health. I would highly recommend other fishkeepers to use them especially as they have a wider range of fish not readily available in your local fish retailer.

It's the second time I have ordered from this compnay I had to make a little change they done it so quick for me with no fuss over WhatsApp

The fish come on time all packaged well and fish look so healthy

Good communication about delivery and packaging a week before delivery. This was my first foray ordering fish on line. I am one of the 1% that didn't get a Weds delivery and only received an e-mail at 7.15pm to say that the fish would be coming Thurs - therefore a whole day wasted.
The fish arrived in very good condition and I'm very pleased with them, thanks. The young courier was very anxious to check that the fish were well - much appreciated. One extra female fish as well - thanks.

Fish arrived safe and well. No issues at all and will definitely use them again. Like ronseal they did exactly what they said on their advertisement. 10/10 thank you

Brilliant communication from order to delivery. My fish arrived very well packaged and healthy. Has settled into the tabk well and is living it's best life!

Received my two angelfish a green ghost and paraiba ghost, both look healthy and ate straight away, also bit larger than expected which helps with worrying about them being bullied, all in all good experience and good looking fish which is all you can ask for , will defo order again , also cheaper than other places for certain fish , very impressed

I bought my flowehorn on online, he arrived perfectly on time and so well packaged.... and a little larger than expected (bonus). The pricing was absolutely brilliant, some stores charge £50 for the same sized and same morph of flowerhorn. Courier was reasonably priced and the aftercare is spot on!

Honest and fair review from first time online fish buyer!

I have also shared this exact same feedback with Aquatropics today.

Positive:
- Fish arrived on time
- Emails received were clear and explained how and when they would be delivered
- They were very well packaged and the heat pack was still warm
- Sent via courier, not Royal Mail and clearly marked as livestock
- ⁠The fish are all quite well priced (but now I know why)
- ⁠Only one DOA which is pretty good out of 29 fish ordered (but not received, see below)
- After 8 hours at the time of writing this review, all 27 fish seem to have settled in well and are doing OK

The not so good:
- One fish was missing, they only sent 5 rummynose tetras instead of 6 and unfortunately one of those was DOA so I only have 4. I have videoed the recording so will see if they do anything about that.
- ⁠The fish are basically slightly bigger than fry, they are tiny. Nowhere on their website do they mention size of fish so perhaps this is on me. I would not have ordered if I knew they would have been so small.
- ⁠And that is exactly why they are a little cheaper than most other online fish stores, because of the size. This might be OK for some people but I wish I paid a little bit more for a much better sized fish.
The photos on the website are all of decent sized fish, which is misleading. They should absolutely state the size of every fish they intend to send out.
- You can only communicate by WhatsApp or email and while I did receive a reply to my 2 WhatsApp messages, they took almost a whole day to reply and so far, haven’t replied to my feedback via WhatsApp 8 hours ago. Maybe I am impatient, so again, maybe that’s on me.
- Finally, I ordered a pair, male and female of both EBAs and Goldeneyes… maybe I’m wrong but imo there is no way you could sex those fish at that size, they are just far too small so who knows whether I have a pair or not.

This is my first experience of buying fish online and I am left with mixed feelings. Unfortunately due to the size, I wouldn’t order from this place again but if you like smaller and don’t mind having to grow them out from a little over fry stage then actually, this place might be OK for you.

EDIT AFTER REPLY FROM ANDY

Andy addressed my concerns and gave valid reasons for sizing and lack of information about sizing on their website which is fair enough. He also said that you can clarify the size of each batch at the time via live chat before purchase which is very handy.

He also offered a refund for my 2 RN tetras, which again is fair enough. I thought it’s important to add this in, to remain fair and transparent and I have amended my rating to a 4 star because had I have known better, I could have checked the size before purchase.

Fantastic delivery service, with great communication over whatsapp throughout. Have been looking for chilli rasboras all over the country and aquatropics seemed to be the only place to actually get hold of them. Was initially sceptical as they accepted my order prior to actually recieving the stock themselves but they did arrive as predicted. Great packaging, one out of 10 unfortunately didn't make it which is not abnormal and they quickly refunded me for this fish. Chillis are settling in great, thanks!

I recently ordered live fish from Aquatropics, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The package was perfectly packed, and it was clear that a lot of care and effort had gone into preparing everything safely for transport. Andy did an amazing job making sure everything was secure and well protected.

All the animals arrived alive and in excellent condition, which really shows the high standards they maintain. My son actually placed the order himself, and he was absolutely over the moon when the fish arrived after school. He takes great care of them.

Thank you again for the fantastic service and for maintaining such high quality. I would definitely recommend Aquatropics to anyone looking to order live fish online.

My first order of live tropical fish. The online order was simple and straightforward, the choice was amazing, I couldn't of picked better myself. The packing was above and beyond complete with heat packs,all arrived alive and looking good. The courier delivered as and when stated also with care and respect.
We are 4 days on and all now settled in. Thanks for excellent service.

Very good experience with Aquatropics London. The order arrived when they said it will, despite not getting an email saying it’s on the way, first thing in the morning, by 08:00 AM. The parcel was very well wrapped with labels on it for “live fish”, no leaking bags, extinguished example of American Cichlids which are doing fantastic. Overall, great service! Well done.

Discus fish arrived healthy,well packaged with heat pads in the 3 bags and wrapped in foil,would definitely recommend

Hermit crabs

They arrived safely packaged and on the date they said they would arrive. Also got a nice selection of different ones. Very happy with the service and will absolutely use them again if we are in the market for something they stock.

I had 2 vampire crabs from you and I absolutely love them thank you we named them mr and mrs crabs lol and delivery was brilliant really quick and they were really protected thank you again

Was very pleased with the service. I ordered 3 hermit crabs, they responded to my emails and answered my queries quickly and we're very helpful after the initial purchase. They were sent well packaged and arrived safely and active from was delivered a week earlier than originally planned which was much appreciated, I will definitely use them again in the future
