Poor customer satisfaction
In a Google review, I advised that I can no longer sign into the app since the update on Tuesday 21/01/24 - The update logged me out and wouldn't accept my log in details to log back in. Now it's asking to verify my details with my phone number, but won't accept my phone number because 'the number is already associated with the account'! Asda store assistant advised that others are affected. The update has clearly caused a glitch. Can you resolve this please Asda?

I have contacted the support team by phone as advised and they have advised that this can only be resolved by the tech team - who endeavour to respond within 5-7 working days.
In the meantime, the app/rewards are inaccessible and I should retain any receipts to take to customer services when resolved.
Asda, this update glitch is causing unnecessary inconvenience to the customer. The customer service desk in our local store is a time consuming process because you have to queue in the same queue as the tobacco/lottery/ newspapers etc. there is often only one assistant covering the whole area. The assistants on the desk have already advised that the app is a seperate entity to them and they cannot help with app enquiries.
As a customer that spends thousands of pounds every year in your store, it isn't acceptable that you cannot resolve your own error in a timely fashion.
Along with likely many others, the rewards system is the only reason we continue to shop here. Staff availability has decreased to invisibility, stock is hit & miss every week and it is rare to find a manned till. Without the rewards system, we will transfer our custom elsewhere.
Presumably due to cost cutting, the customer experience at Asda has seriously declined over the last few years. The staff who used to be 'happy to help' are now in the main visibly unhappy in their roles. Prices have increased beyond belief and the customer service has declined in immeasurable amounts.
I have submitted a formal complaint and I am looking for a swift resolution.
