Very nice experience! Both pick up and drop off are convenient. We rented a car for5 days, the car was clean and easy-to-drive. We will use zero car next time in the future!

Process from airport to getting car was really easy. Staff was very helpful. 100% recommand. Zero exces is the best option.

Everything went smoothly and the service was great

The pick up was easy. The key was in a lock box and it had a number on the key to locate the vehicle. The drop off was fast and easy. It was a very laid back and stress free visit.

Honestly, we were a bit nervous about renting a car in Iceland, but Zero Car Rental was the best decision we made.
We took the Kia Sportage around the Golden Circle and it was fantastic, super clean and felt brand new. The whole process was actually 'zero' hassle from start to finish, which is rare for car rentals.
Definitely worth the price and made our trip so much easier.
Would 100% use them again and recommend them.

My experience with Zero Car Iceland from January 10th to 15th, 2026, was easily the most efficient rental process I’ve encountered. After landing at Keflavík, The 5-10 minute walk from the terminal to the rental hub is a straightforward path and a great way to wake up after a flight. The standout moment, however, was the pickup itself. Because I had completed everything online, the process took less than 30 seconds—I walked into the hub, entered my code into the keybox, grabbed the keys, and was out the door. There were no lines, no aggressive upselling of extra insurance, and no tedious paperwork.

I was assigned a KIA Sportage PHEV with 45,000 km on the odometer (With me putting another 1000km+ on it while I was there). Despite the mileage, the car was in excellent mechanical shape and handled the unpredictable January weather with total stability. The Fuel economy was around 35mpg on average as the places we went did not have access to PHEV charging so we were almost always on the 1.6 petrol engine, luckily fuel is relatively cheap in iceland (for those used to european prices) this is thanks to Iceland removing fuel duty tax. The 4WD system provided a massive sense of security during the darker, icier stretches of my trip.

The "Zero" model really shines when you’re driving in these conditions; knowing that the full insurance (including gravel and sand/ash protection) was already baked into the price allowed me to enjoy the landscape rather than stressing over every potential stone chip. Returning the car was just as seamless as the pickup—a simple key drop and I was on my way. For anyone visiting Iceland who values their time and wants total peace of mind, I can’t recommend this service enough.

The service was quick and clear and very comfortable and gentle.

I was impressed by the convenience of ZeroCar. Upon arrival, I could simply pick up the car with a password, which was incredibly convenient, requiring no further procedures. Returning the car was also very easy. The vehicle was inspected beforehand, and its condition remained excellent throughout our journey.

The car was clean, well maintained and in excellent technical condition. The booking process was smooth and straightforward, although the insurance coverage could have been described in more detail at the offer stage.

Contact with customer service was easy and helpful when I reported a tire pressure warning light. During the trip, two new chips appeared on the windshield — despite careful driving on regular public roads, this is quite common in winter conditions in Iceland. The purchased insurance worked perfectly in this case: no paperwork was required, I simply mentioned the new chips when returning the car.

I used the after-hours self-service key pickup, which was very convenient. Inspecting the car in the dark and rain to compare its condition with the contract photos was slightly stressful, but ultimately not an issue.

The return process was completely hassle-free, and three weeks after returning the car there were no unexpected charges or problems. The rental location is clearly marked and within a few minutes’ walk from the airport.

The price was relatively high compared to the market, but it included full insurance coverage, no security deposit was required, and the vehicle quality justified the cost. The Dacia Duster 4x4 with studded tires performed very well and felt safe in all road conditions.

Despite the higher price, I would recommend this rental company.

Great rental experience with Zero Car!

The keybox pickup at Keflavík Airport was very easy and well explained, even with a late-night arrival. The Kia Sorento 4WD was clean, in excellent condition, and perfect for winter driving in Iceland.

We drove through Reykjavík, the Golden Circle, and the South Coast in snow and strong wind, and the car performed flawlessly. The full insurance coverage gave us great peace of mind.

Transparent pricing, clear instructions, and a very smooth self-service experience. Highly recommended for winter road trips in Iceland!
