NO ANSWERS ON MY MAILS!

After signing the contract I send twice a mail for clarifications and never received an answer!!!

AS OF TODAY (17/12/'25) STILL WAITING FOR FINAL ANSWER FROM service-yourstorebox.com! Mail send on 1/12 and reminder on 15/12 but NO ANSWER!

Transparency is seriously lacking

Getting things done online is a disaster. You only receive the full information after you have actually signed the contract. Suddenly the „monthly” price is only for the first month (if it wasn’t for the PayPal informing me about my next payment due, I wouldn’t have noticed that the price has suddenly jumped up by 60(!!!)€. Also, only after I had already paid for the first month I received the information that I needed to upload a copy of my own insurance if I hadn’t bought one from the Storebox. This could have been made clear before the payment was made, not just sneaked in afterwards. It’s not about the price. It’s a fair game if someone is prepared to pay a certain amount of money for a certain service. I would simply wish that all the extras, exceptions, conditions and prices were clearly stated before the contract becomes binding and not AFTER you have actually paid and have no other choice anymore. The way this website operates leaves a lot to be desired in terms of transparency.

We very much regret the confusion you experienced regarding pricing and insurance requirements. Regarding the insurance, our terms and conditions clearly state that each unit needs to be insured. If a customer selects their own insurance but cannot provide proof, it shows that coverage is missing, which we need to address for everyone’s safety.

Concerning the price change, this was caused by technical issues with our PayPal integration, which we are actively working on to resolve.

We appreciate your feedback and are taking it seriously. We are already working on making the insurance information clearer and more understandable for our customers before booking, so similar confusion can be avoided in the future.

Lack of transparency about cancellation policy

I booked a Storebox unit in Vienna with a flexible monthly plan, which, according to the website, could be “updated before the start of each new billing cycle.” Based on this, I assumed I could cancel anytime before the next month started.

I vacated my unit, uploaded the required photos, and cancelled the plan on the last day of my first month. However, I was still charged for another full month. When I contacted support, they explained that cancellations must be made 14 days before the end of the billing period — a rule that’s not mentioned anywhere during the booking process, only in the full contract you receive after payment.

This feels misleading and unfair. The user interface creates the impression of flexibility, while hidden terms later restrict it.

The support team was polite but refused any refund “based on the contract.” I hope Storebox improves their communication and makes such important terms visible before customers commit to payment.

we very much regret that this situation led to misunderstandings. We would, however, like to clarify that the 14-day cancellation period is communicated transparently at multiple points:

Contract preview – before confirming the booking.

Booking confirmation email – immediately after confirmation, right below the button where access codes were activated.

Cancellation page – highlighted before the cancellation is confirmed.

This communication clearly included the reason for the additional month and the exact cancellation date. Additionally, the cancellation date is displayed twice in the cancellation email: in the first paragraph and again below the required steps.

We truly appreciate your feedback and will continue to review our communication to make it as clear as possible for all customers.

I’m a very satisfied customer

I’ve had a great experience with Storebox. The entire process was smooth, from booking to accessing my storage unit. The facilities are clean, secure, and very easy to use with the 24/7 access system. I especially appreciate the convenience of the digital entry system—no hassle with keys or codes to remember.

Customer service has been excellent as well, quick to respond, helpful, and professional. Pricing is also very fair compared to other options I looked at, with flexible length of rental period. Overall, Storebox has made storage stress-free and reliable, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone in need of extra space.

Double Charging

They have a problem with their payment system. For 2 going on 3 months now, they have been charging us twice BOTH on Paypal and Credit Card. Even if we have already reached out via email and phone call, our money has NOT been returned yet. So that means we are paying double the amount we are supposed to.

Hi Storebox. Up until now, we have not received any reimbursement for the double charges incurred. Although the recipient of the Paypal payment Herr G promised to return the payment 2x, unfortunately it is a hoax and up until now no action has been made. If you intend to go this path, we will be forced to take further actions escalating this problem.

Great Customer Service

Great product, everything went smoothly.
I booked my cabin for 10 months and will for sure continue booking this cabin.
I once had issues with my entrycode and their customerservice was very quick and helpful, so I was able to get to my cabin within just a couple of minutes again. Can recommend!

Almost flawless

Everything was amazing, I'd say almost perfect. The ease of use, 24/7 access, helpful customer support services. Those three are quite rare. Only 2 minor flaws. 1- I believe it is a little overpriced. 2- The code of the facility was not working initially - there was a bug in the locking system of the outside door. Thankfully, customer service solved the issue. However those bugs are still avoidable and may cause huge inconvenience in case the customer support is not working (I am not sure if it is 24/7 too).

I went to the storeroom and the door…

I went to the storeroom and the door didn’t open, nobody helped me and the only thing they said was that they could do something they day after. i lost my morning there and told them that i was leaving the day after and they still did nothing. i’m so disappointed and don’t recommend.

Really fits my needs

Really fits my needs. I needed a place to store all my "unnecessary" belongings for a certain amount of time and i was so happy to find yourstorebox in Luxembourg. I rented a first cabin and paid with paypal. I immediately received the access codes and could start to move in, even in the weekend. when they offered a discount on bigger cabins, they helped me cancel my first contract in order to start a second one, which they could have refused. I give this company gladly 5 out of 5 stars. My storeroom is easily accessible, clean and big enough to store all my stuff. Thank you for your services. I will recommend you. Georges

Overall very positive experience

We stored some furniture and household items in one of their store rooms in their location in Voigtstraße 27 in Berlin Friedrichshain.

Location and parking
The location itself seemed to be just the repurposed ground floor of a residential house in a residential area. Nevertheless we went there 4 or 5 times to load and unload stuff over the course of 3 months and were always (!) able to park right in front of the front door which surprised us positively.

Standard and use of facility
To us the space seemed secure (multiple cameras and changing access codes to the front door) and reasonably clean. The location of our room and what we needed to do at which door was clearly described on the website and all the given codes worked well.

Service
As all instructions were clear and easy to find, we didn't really needed any service until I forgot to cancel the rental contract on time after a hectic period of moving around between flats in Berlin. After the initial 3 months it renewed automatically to another 3 months. Not cancelling on time was completely my mistake but after explaining the situation to the customer service, they were very accomodating and let us cancel the room right away instead of insisting on us paying rent for another 3 months. Resopnse times were also very fast. Hence we're very pleased with the service we asked for as well and left the whole thing on a very positive note.

More than happy to come back, when we need some storage space again in the future!

Chaotic process, no customer orientation, no apology

I booked a storage unit with Storebox. On my first visit, the access code didn’t work – I couldn’t store my belongings. I was then assigned a unit that was too small. Eventually, I had to rent a larger (and more expensive) unit.

I had to move my items three times. Despite correct payment, I received payment reminders – and eventually, my access was blocked without legal grounds. For several days, I couldn’t access my own belongings.

My written complaints were ignored. The hotline was friendly but couldn’t help. The final email from the company included no apology and no gesture of goodwill – only the request that I move everything a fourth time, again by myself.

In over 40 years of business experience, I’ve never encountered anything like this. Storebox clearly does not prioritize customer service, accountability, or professionalism.

Complete rip-off

Complete rip-off. Despite paying regularly since the beginning (via standing order) they block access to my locker. They did not remedy situation despite me providing proof of every single payment. The customer support is not communicating at all. Unfortunately, there is no other option than including lawyers in this.

If you want to have access to your things blocked for no reason, despite paying on time for years and to be ignored by the customer support go for StoreBox. Otherwise, I strongly advice you to look for other options.

UPDATE April 27, 2025: After writing the review above I was finally contacted by customer support on March 26. Ms. Chmielewska requested from me to provide more information, which I did do on March 28. Since then there have been complete radio silence despite my another attempt to inquire on the state of the issue. In the meantime, I got another payment reminder and the access to the locker was blocked yet again despite everything being paid via standing order.

Nothing has really changed and this is yet another testament to what I wrote in the initial review.

UPDATE July 25, 2025: Still no communication from Storebox representatives, just more payment reminders and blocking blocking of the access to the locker.
