The curriculum is concise and easy to follow. They do a fantastic job of explaining complicated German grammar rules. Highly recommend!

I've now purchased and used all 3 of YGT's courses (A1.1, A1.2, and A2.1). All three are very efficiently structured and the information is presented in a very streamlined and logical way. Lessons are explained in easily understood terms and complex topics are taught very simply. Essentially using only YGT, I got an 89 on my A1 exam and now preparing for A2. These guys are pro teachers.

You will roam the internet here and there but you will never find a course straight to the point and actually adds to you like that, I even stopped for sometime and didn't forget anything as they explain the topic very clearly so you won't have to just memorise it but to understand it.
They really made me love studying German and I find it fun with them.

German is not an easy language, but YourGermanTeacher makes possible to grasp the foundations and building blocks that will facilitate this (long...) journey of learning German. Great grammar explanations, tons of examples and exercises, a lot of care is put into the quality of media content (pictures, audios, etc), handy bonus tips, simple but effective e-learning platform...big thanks to Johannes and Luzi for this amazing work! Keep going, I am really looking forward to the upcoming A.2.2 module!

Well - structured course with worksheets that help one to understand how to construct sentences and ask questions.

Luzi and Johannes are excellent treachers, and they have put together a thorough, organized approach to learning German. While explaining some very complicated and unintuitive subjexts, they manage to maintain a sense of humor that makes things seem much less frustrating. I look forward to the A.2.2 course.

I tried Happygerman, Maria Deinsprachcouch and Lingoni. This is by far the best, especially for those who speak English. Almost double the price. This would be a black ball for YGT. Maybe in the future I will reduce it.

This is the BEST German course around. I started off at the Goethe Institute which I found the course to be confusing as the information was not presented clearly making it hard to retain. Luzi and Johannes have created a platform which makes learning German fun. They truly care that the student understands the lesson providing additional help through the chat window. I can't say enough about this course...I have been studying now a little over 2 years and I am more motivated than ever because I see the results! I recently went to Germany and was able to speak and understand others!

The format, the presentation, the worksheets... all helped to understand and learn. My only issue I had was that you introduced a lot of vocabulary in the videos that were NOT in the Kursbuch. I ended up having to write all of these additional words into my Kursbuch. Also, I wish you had introduced plural earlier and provided the noun plural earlier. I went back and looked up the plural for nouns introduced in the first Lektions and added that to the Kursbuch for further study.

I just completed Your German Teacher's A2.1 course and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in improving their German grammar and expanding their vocabulary. Johannes and Luzi are two of the best German instructors on the internet, in my humble opinion. They are clear with their explanations, give plenty of good examples, and they understand the importance of practice, so exercises are provided for any subscriber to their Patreon page and their course. Whenever I have questions about a given German grammar topic, I always seek out what these two guys have to say about it, since they provide, by far, the most clarity on otherwise complicated topics. The only thing lacking in the course would be for those who wish to get in more practice speaking. As of now, there is plenty of listening comprehension, but no real opportunity for speaking practice. I would encourage Johannes and Luzi to research an effective way to build this speaking/conversation practice into the course. Otherwise, the course was great, and these guys are the best!

Euer Deutschkurs ist fantastich! I am a university teacher and have taught many on-line courses. Yours is a great blend of videos, course materials, exercises, and assessments. The tone is both serious and playful. One suggestion: occasionally, an important topic comes up in videos that is not covered in the course book. But this happens, I know, when creating videos. What an amazing course! Luzi and Johannes are both really great teachers, and their enthusiasm and experience for teaching German language is really evident.

Luzi and Johannes make learning German fun, engaging, and easy to understand. They also go out of their way to answer any questions or requests you may have. I was always amazed at how quickly they would get back to me, especially with such a timezone difference. The course is also complemented nicely with comprehensive coursebooks and worksheets. These come in really handy to help grasp the difficult German grammar.

I completed their course in a month and a half, and passed my A1 exam on the 21.03.2023 in Cape Town, South Africa. I believe this would not have been possible for me without their course. I'm grateful to them for providing such a gem, thank you Luzi and Johannes! I look forward to continuing my German language journey with your A2 course.

This is a well structured and comprehensive first course in German language. I enjoyed it and feel I was challenged and learned a lot to build on my skills.

I wrote a previous review and this update is to update on my A1 exam. I did take my exam on 4 March 2022 and I scored a 96/100. My confidence for the German language was extremely low. As mentioned in my previous review, if it wasn't for how they presented the information and the homework I would never have had been this successful. I just want to let Luzi and Johannes know that I am thankful to you for what you are doing. I don't know if you know how much you are helping people. Because of you and this course I am now able to apply for my Family Reunification Visa.

I‘m really enjoying lessons with you guys, it just fits me perfectly! Your YouTube channel is already amazing, but this course offers many more useful and interesting information for us, beginners. It was not easy for me to find such a motivating teacher, but your approach is so warm, yet professional and very vital. You offer a lot, thank you! Looking forward to start my next course with you!

Luzi and Johannes are great teachers! I have completed A2.1 course. Every subject is explained simply and clearly. Very well organized. Vocabulary and grammar are combined successfully in exercises. I am looking forward to A2.2 course.

Hard thing about Learning German for me is the Grammar ,All the cases and modal verbs that change the whole structure seemed so confusing to me ,and I have gone through a lot of German learning material but this course was the one that made it much easier for me. the explaining is FUN , precise and to the point.
the other thing is the user friendly surface they use.It is simple and everything functions smoothly.
But the MOST IMPORTANT thing about this course that separate this from others is the QUICK FEEDBACK they provide .whenever you post a comment under the lesson you are reading and ask a question their reply is surely coming and it is coming fast.so you get your answer right away which makes it stick better in your mind.
all and all I am so glad I find this superb course.
