I have been a school teacher for many years and as such have had a lot of experience in writing language curriculum. I have completed numerous different German courses in Switzerland and Australia and find this course to be the best. It’s very well structured. It includes the right balance of teaching, repetition and practice. It moves at a pace that is very well sequenced and the explanations are clear and concise. Well done boys!

When considering only commercially available language learning resources that allow a flexible self-study schedule, the course bundle A1 + A2 provided by YourGermanTeacher must be the most effective course I have ever seen on any target language. The package provides exactly what it promises: a necessary and sufficient base structure that allows the student to attain a specific and well-understood language proficiency level set forth by the Goethe-Institut. The course material itself has a very high quality and without the watermarks on the course book & exercises, it would be impossible to say that the learning materials were not developed for a university-level course. The listed price of the A1 + A2 package with high-quality flashcards was 537 USD, which is roughly equivalent to 25 italki sessions with a native teacher for 60-90 minutes (depending of course on the teacher). Considering that the license for the materials is lifelong, I can say from the bottom of my heart that this was money well spent!

I would like to acknowledge the good work that Luzi and Johannes have done in this course. This course exceeded my expectations. The course is well structured, with explanations that are on point. The Course Book, worksheets, special verbs list were all extremely helpful. In addition to the bonus tips you give to tackle various topics with ease marvels me. I would highly recommend this course for anyone who wants to learn German with ease and in a fun way. I appreciate the patience you had when preparing this course, this is great work, and you are great teachers. Looking forward to A2.2 and more content in future. Thank you.

This course was really helpful to me. It really helps you understand grammar. It also gives you such important vocab. Personally, the woorksheds hepld me a lot to finally get the grammar and concepts right. This is, with out doubts, the best course you can purchase. I really recommend you buying this course.

This course is so well presented and structured. I have used Goethe and Duolingo, but the fact that this is presented in bite-sized chunks in English, with clarity about what you are going to be learning at every stage, made this so much more effective. Well done guys!

I purchased the A1 course, and I can honestly say it was the reason that I passed the Goethe A1 exam. Because of Luzi and Johannes, I was able to score 98/100. I loved the format of the course. They also interact with students if you have any questions about a topic. Within 3 months, I was able to achieve my goal. If you're undecided about purchasing this course, consider how you learn as an individual. I prefer their style of teaching to any other. I tried Nicos Weg on DW, and while it is incredibly informative, it is primarily reading. I attempted the Goethe online self-study but wasn't pleased with the format. With YourGermanTeacher, you start off with videos followed by worksheets, but always review! Nonetheless, I am really pleased with my purchase and excited to continue my journey with YourGermanTeacher. Thank you for creating these courses!

The course is very well organized. The grammar is well explained in details and easy to understand. With a lots of exercise and examples, one can really learn the knowledge.

I can really feel the patience and endevour from the teachers.
To make easy things to be messy is easy, but to make complex things like German to be easy is an art. The teachers here really make it!

Ich bin 60 Jahre alt und lerne noch Deutsch. It is definitely NOT the easiest language, and many times I've had to go back and retake tests or review extra hard before attempting the tests, but I got 100% on Lektion 10 on the first attempt! Sometimes, it just takes extra focus and concentration. I feel more confident in my knowledge, but still struggle in the speaking. That's what most learners say as well. Still, I am SO grateful to Luzi and Johannes for their intensive material, and look forward to A2/2 soon!

I am so grateful to this course for helping me to learn (well, at least start to learn) German. I am 70 years old, and my memory certainly isn't what it used to be, but I find that the way Luzi and Johannes teach is incredibly powerful and effective...and thoroughly enjoyable. There is no getting around the fact that German is really difficult (and at times utterly maddening), but I still look forward to watching these videos every day. I may never get past the A2 level, but I'm so glad I found this course because it really has expanded my mind. Thank you so much Luzi and Johannes.

Only based on their A1 course, I scored 86% on the Goethe exam. I discovered their YouTube accidentally and, I bought A1 and A2 course bundles. Their teaching format is perfect for me with books, exercises, reviews and sheets, and the best part of online videos is you can review them again. One thing I would appreciate about the course is how fun they are with all possible explanations and quick responses to doubts. Excited to start A2 now!

I have always been a fan of Luzi & Johannes' YouTube videos. Impressed by the clarity with which they explain topics in their videos, I decided to take their A2 bundle course. This course is self-paced and includes its own course book and workbooks. I am extremely satisfied with the course because it has helped me solidify my foundations and I feel confident for higher German levels. I admire the way Luzi & Johannes break down complex topics and explain them with patience and a big smile on their faces. They provide practice tests, numerous examples, and bonus tips, as well as flag exceptions, which I find very helpful. I appreciate that the course materials are concise and explain concepts in English. I highly recommend their programs, and I am eagerly anticipating the release of their B1 bundle course.

Prior to taking YGT's A1/A2 course, I watched many of their videos on YouTube. Luzi and Johannes's method for explaining the grammar in detail and giving extensive examples completely removes the complexity often found in the German language. Their course is structured, informative, and at the same time enjoyable. Also, they are very quick to respond to questions throughout the course. Looking forward to their B1/B2 course later this year.

I really enjoyed this course. I learned so much and I was always eager to continue the lessons because the format, examples, and explanations were clear and concise. I feel I got a lot of education for my money.

The best German grammar course out there. I have been doing self-study and one on one online courses for about 8 months, and it has been the first time I can say that I truly understand most concepts now. The fact that you can go over the course again and again is an incredible bonus too. They explain everything in a fun yet methodical way (and making German grammar fun is an incredible talent.) I would give more stars if I could.

I have been watching Luzi and Johannes' videos on YouTube ever since I started learning German as an adult about 2 years ago. These guys consistently explain difficult concepts reinforced with well-crafted visual aids in ways that make sense. When the virtual courses I was taking through my local German-American Institute weren't filling at the higher levels, I decided to try YourGermanTeachers' on-line courses. I can honestly say that this course was less expensive, more effective, and much easier to complete on my own schedule. The videos, Kursbuch, worksheets, and online chapter exams are truly exceptional. The flashcard supplement is invaluable for learning the vocabulary. I would give six stars if I could.

Clear, well explained, helpful and fun. I looked forward to my German class everyday. The best part is you can go back as many times as you need to review the material. I am looking forward to B1 but in the meantime, its time for reviewing.
