There were no time restirctions mentioned on the app
We had a very disappointing experience at the restaurant during our corporate dinner party. We were unexpectedly asked to vacate the table within two hours, despite there being no prior communication regarding any time restriction at the time of booking — neither on the app nor during the confirmation call.
Such important terms should be clearly communicated to customers in advance, especially for corporate gatherings and planned events. The way the situation was handled felt unprofessional and left our entire group embarrassed and dissatisfied.
What was even more disappointing was the complete lack of apology from the staff and no effort made to compensate for the inconvenience, whether through a gesture of goodwill or even a small discount.
Unfortunately, this experience has significantly affected our perception of the restaurant and its hospitality standards.

I’m writing about my order placed today,
The restaurant is only ∼4 km from my location, but the order was delivered after *1 hour 20 minutes*. That’s well beyond the expected delivery time shown at the time of ordering.
When I called customer support about the delay, Pratyush answered. He read out a script saying “it takes this much time, sorry sir,” and disconnected the call without offering any real solution or compensation. I didn’t get any explanation for the delay or help with the inconvenience caused.
I’ve been a regular Zomato user and usually have good experiences, but this time both the delivery time and the support response were disappointing. I’d appreciate it if you could:
Review the support interaction and ensure agents actually address customer concerns instead of reading scripts and ending calls
Let me know what corrective action/refund/credit you can offer for this experience
I hope this can be resolved so I can continue using Zomato with confidence.

I am writing this complaint against Zomato regarding a highly disappointing and fraudulent experience with my recent order from KFC worth ₹510.
Despite waiting for the order, the delivery rider never delivered the food to me. However, the order status was falsely marked as “Delivered” in the app. I immediately contacted customer support multiple times, but I received no proper response, no food, and no refund.
Because of this negligence and false delivery update, I was left stranded and hungry on the road late at night. This incident caused me mental harassment, inconvenience, and financial loss. It is completely unacceptable that a customer pays for food but neither receives the order nor gets a refund.
This appears to be a clear case of cheating, deficiency in service, and consumer exploitation. I strongly request strict action against Zomato and demand:
1. Immediate refund of ₹510
2. Compensation for mental harassment and inconvenience
3. Investigation against the delivery partner and false delivery update
4. Assurance that such incidents do not happen to other customers
I am also planning to file a formal complaint before consumer authorities/FASSAI and other legal forums if the issue is not resolved immediately.

Title: Misleading Restaurant Listing – Same Outlet Operating Under Different Names
I had a very disappointing and misleading experience while ordering food through Zomato.
I intentionally avoided ordering from a restaurant called “Night Eat” due to a previous poor experience. While browsing, I found a different listing named “Ambur Dum Biriyani” and assumed it was a separate restaurant, so I placed my order (Order #8071539467).
However, after placing the order, I noticed that the pickup location on the map was exactly the same as “Night Eat.” To confirm, I asked the delivery partner at the time of delivery, and he clearly stated that the food was picked up from “Night Eat.”
Additionally, the packaging style and overall presentation were identical to “Night Eat,” which further confirms that both names are being used by the same outlet.
This is highly misleading and deceptive. As a customer, I made a conscious decision to avoid a specific restaurant, yet I was still served food from the same place under a different name.
This raises serious concerns about how restaurants are listed and verified on the platform. Customers rely on accurate information when ordering food, and such practices completely break that trust.
I request:
- A full refund for this order
- A proper investigation into this restaurant
- Strict action against outlets operating under multiple misleading names
This experience was frustrating and unacceptable, especially when ordering food is a necessity and depends heavily on trust and transparency.

Ordered food last night in Zomato. It took an hour and a half of waiting for the food and still I haven't received the order! Gave the order around 8:15 and waited till 10:30 and got very disappointed of waiting so I have to cancel it. The customer service was not very accommodating and helpful. They said they will refund the money immediately but when I checked the status of the refund it wasn't there yet. I got an email that they will refund the money on the 3rd of May which is ridiculous. I still have to check on it and follow it up which is another inconvenience! First of all the food was so delayed because of the problems of their delivery partner They will hire a single delivery guy for multiple deliveries! Secondary they asked you to wait till they call them and the restaurant and you end up waiting and waste your time and feeling disappointed! Thirdly they won't refund your money on time! This company is getting worst day by day, these days they charge you even more in terms of platform fees from ₹10 to ₹14.90. and they say they provide free delivery till 9kms and suddenly the restaurants which was in that perimeter changes to 9.1 kms. They are proper scam.
