I think snails work here!
This firmed picked up my mortgage application on behalf of the lender and I must say they are extremely slow and frustrating.
It's been a week between emails now and still no answer to my question. Two items were put on my invoice that should not have been.
Although polite, the solicitor who was dealing with my case reminded me that she worked for the lender and not me and therefore if I needed 'advice' I should get my own solicitor. This frustrated me as I wasn't asking for any advice, I was asking for details of how to find the questionnaire she kept asking me to upload and also if she needed verified copies my ID.
The working practice is chaos for the end user. There are mountains of letters and forms that came from all different places, they have different titles on different platforms and you have to figure out which form the solicitor is actually asking for.
I let her know that I'd uploaded the documents that were needed only to be told that she had not received these via post! In an email, far far away, there was a paragraph that requested one certain document by post. No message from her after she could see I'd uploaded it online to double check it was on it's way.
The process has taken far longer that it should have done, there have been way too many emails with me asking the same question over and over only for the reply to be copy and pasted from a previous email. Important information is hidden away in letters attached to their own platform so if you want to review something you have to log back it.

I've found the service slow and the team unhelpful and I would never use this firm again.

We’ve proceeded with two properties using Your Conveyancer. Our first we unfortunately had to pull out of, however Izaura was amazing. Prompt with responses and had us in a fantastic position within a matter of weeks!

When we switched to our current property we were allocated to Amy Aylward and our expectations were high after our experience with Izaura, and we were not disappointed.

Quick with responses (sometimes within minutes!!) answered all of my stupid questions, had our paperwork and everything done in a very quick timeframe, and successfully got us from offer acceptance to exchange (today - yay!) in a matter of 8 weeks, with paperwork all sorted out her end by week 6. FANTASTIC!

I was wary of using a distance conveyancer and the EA tried to get us to use their partnered solicitor for convenience but we didn’t want to use the same solicitors as the sellers, and we’re glad we trusted our gut.

Transparent pricing, our costs didn’t increase form our quote, didn’t get charged any fees for not completing our first purchase as advertised (and zero push back from them on this, we didn’t even have to check!).

Now to wait to get the keys to our families home mid July. Super excited, and extremely grateful to Amy.
