Bad UI bad service and bad…

Bad UI bad service and bad subscriptions
The cancelation dark pattern of cancelation is really not helping.
This is pretty bad compared with other online subscriptions services.
This is cheating and really bad for your reputation.

It's okay you keep your ruthless rules,
Poorly designed and ruthless money-making machine.
Xing really is disappointing and doesn't look like a proper German company.

Useless, terrible interface, disrespectful company

Xing made me start an account with them to try to apply for a job. I was never able to even apply for the job because the post vanished but Xing continually emailed me to remind me to finish making my account. There was no unsubscribe. To finish making an account I had to go through about 12 steps before finally being left with a broken interface. To unsubscribe to email notifications I had to click about 20 individual notification disable buttons, there was no unsubscribe all. I can't find a way to delete my account. What an absolute pain. Never click on anything with Xing or you risk getting sucked into a maze of useless timewasting crap.

avoid, failing company, scam

a bunsh of thieves. I signed up for a 3 month package and I cancelled it .. to be surprised later that they signed me up for something else. It is a scam that they run. Looks at the reviews lots of people suffer from the same issue. A failing company just trying to steal peoples money.

Worst customer service and social media platform

Reading your reviews, I can only add another super negative one regarding renewing my subscription without previous notice, even though I tried to cancel it. They have the worst business practices I have ever come across as a customer. I do hope they disappear soon, as it's a useless platform anyway, where candidates are very unresposive and just a boring and unappealing display.
If you can't satisfy your customers, you are out. As they are the ones who are keeping you alive.
Please do not use this useless platform, and be aware of the worst customer service ever!

Xing became a restaurant , after you eat from the ...

Really it is something "FUNNY" that Xing system changed to restaurant payment system .

Xing Payment system became like a restaurant .

Although some restaurants have some ethical manners related to invoices after the client enjoy his eat .

Xing trapping you in a free trial , after that it does not ask you if you are happy or not with its free trial .

Suddenly it ask you to PAY "fake" invoices created by Xing itself .

How is that ?

Please think about it .

Really it is something funny for a company Payment system became like a restaurant payment system .

XING is losing ground and soon will become irrelevant

Back in the days I registered simultaneously in both social networks for professionals XING and LinkedIn. Ever since I've been witnessing the growth of LinkedIn and the decline of XING. If it continues this way, then we will be witnessing how XING will become irrelevant in the country of its origin Germany.

Here are some articles that unleash what's wrong with this once promising but now ill-fated social platform: a blog article called "Why XING Sucks", google it. I also recommend to read the article of Shelley Pascual "Goodbye, Xing: the growing success of LinkedIn in Germany".

Update from 2022: XING is already irrelevant :)

Worst customer service I have…

Worst customer service I have encountered anywhere so far. No wonder they have so many bad reviews. After auto-renewing my otherwise completely unsused Premium account which I was not aware of (at 1.5x the price of the initial purchase) and after I have asked them to cancel multiple times via email they have now sent emails with their lawyers to collect an invoice that is paying for a service I don't intend to use and did not use even in the previous period. I seriously hope they go out of business soon - who needs Xing anyways now in the era of LinkedIn? No wonder they are fighting for every penny from ex-customers. No understanding or empathy, not to mention none of the so called "Kulanz" for customers most companies in Germany have in high regard - Did I mention I am expecting a baby in 2 months and the last thing I want to pay for is an unused, unwanted and generally not useful service for 102 EUR p.a.?

XING. Worst experience ever. Shady subscription.

Worst experience ever. 'Customer service' that won't try to help you solve a problem. They just try to ram their shady business practices down your throat. They keep telling me read the fine print (which I have to hunt down.)

Signed up for an year's trial subscription (useless subscription) at a price that turned out to double a year after. Something you would expect from a telecom/cable TV provider.

Cancelation is not easy or clear about how to do it either. Along with Terms and conditions need to be searched for. Not visible in your account settings.

Beware the (3 months/weeks?) notice that you have to give them before your subscription is automatically extended. Mine got automatically extended for another year at double the price. Not stated on the invoices. Nowhere to double check what you signed up for previously.

As soon as this cycle runs out. Will delete my account.

Xing is a sharp practice money grabbing…

Xing is a sharp practice money grabbing organisation and if they cant get the cash they employ debt collectors to jack up your alleged owings.

I cancelled my subscription but their 'Rottweilers' aka debt collectors have still got their teeth in to me!

Don't ever take a paid entry even if you are ill in hospital when their subscription falls due they will still pursue you!!!

XING changed payment method WITHOUT…

XING changed payment method WITHOUT informing client!!!!
What happens when your payment by creditcard does not work when you purchase something online?
The client is IMMEDIATELY informed and the service is NOT provided, right?
But XING acted VERY confusingly and unreliably.
As I paid with the creditcard, I could not understand their behaviour sending me reminders, even because they have made mistakes before... which was only clarified AFTER my questioning.
Then I needed to check what happened with the creditcard 2 months ago... in the meantime they send my case to a lawyer.
If you do NOT have time to waste - BEWARE!
23€ are now more than €100 - for a service that LINKEDIN offers for FREE!! (First month of membership!)
Absolutely a NO GO!!

Wish I had read these reviews before signing up..

I originally signed up for the premium and projobs services. The premium service is essentially useless, but I thought it might facilitate networking opportunities, so I decided to re-up the membership. The projobs service was 100% useless and I did not receive any benefit or actual service with it. As such, I chose not to re-up the projobs service. However, Xing has been harassing me since I cancelled to pay for the projobs service. Their bullying tactics will not work on me, but nonetheless, I am annoyed and wish I had never created an account with them in the first place.

Sucks! Stay away from these crooks!

Sucks! Stay away from these crooks! I tried to cancel my premium membership. I couldn't find a link to do it. I waited 1 month because my credit card was expiring. I thought this would be enough. But I was wrong... they kept on charging my Credit Card on and on... until I finally found a Customer Service section when they started to ask me to PAY!!! Now that I had access to their "customer support", they refused to revoke the charges, so they basically told me to pay and accept their conditions. Thankfully, they have now turned off the premium membership, but I will have to still pay for many months of service that I didn't use!!!! Very bad company. Totally unethical! Stay away from this people. I am sure they won't last much in the market if they keep trying their customers this way. Of course I won't pay them one nickel.

Vile, appalling, unethical firm, disgusting customer service

Vile, appalling, unethical firm. Issues stated in the previous reviews about automatic renewals, disgusting customer service (I tried to cancel three times - and perhaps finally managed, but only saw their true face once I got a new credit card). Autorenewal is long ahead of time(!) and if this does not go through(!) they do not stop service, but as a first step use aggressive tactics (threathening letters of debt collectors!). If you work with ethical firms and value your time, stay away.

Do not sign up to their premium membership. I had it for a long time as trying to cancel their premium membership is very time consuming. They make it extremely difficult for you to cancel it with a maze of forms and what not until you give up. Stick to Linkedin.

Stay away out of this crap!

Stay away out of this crap!

Unethical, they autorenew your premium membership and change the amount that was initially agreed on. Then if you want to delete your account they ask for really private information.
They are really suspicious and I would never use this service again.

The make it extremely hard for you to cancel anything or to even close your account.

Stay away out of this crap!

Deceiving and incompetent

Unethical, they autorenew your premium membership and change the amount that was initially agreed on. Incompetent and Extremely deceiving.

Just simply trying to cancel their premium membership is so time consuming. They try to make it extremely hard for you to cancel anything once you're on it taking you through all their marketing mazes until you give up or are confused.

Appalling underhand company.

Appalling underhand company.
Auto renewal of membership and aggressive customer service.
No reminder emails for renewal sent despite about 10 spam emails a day.
This company send threatening letters when you fail to pay for another year's membership you do not want. Other companies refund or cancel these auto renewals straight away. No German government watchdog that I am aware of to dispute this as consumer rights are pretty low priority in Germany.
Not a useful networking service. Not active. Stick to Linkdin.

DO NOT SIGN UP!
