Zak B went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. I was trying to create a solution to an issue and he helped to sense check my ideas. I purchased 3 items and he explained the returns policy. Zak then took me to a till to make payment. Sutton Surrey store.

The one thing that stands out about this store, the staff. They are always so helpful when asking for assistance. A very special thank to Sophia who took the time to help me when I had to load a large order of building materials...gravel, sand and cement. Sophia, thank you, I am so grateful for all your assistance this past Saturday. Without your help, it would have taken me ages to load everything into the van. Thank you so much!

Would give no stars but you can’t. Awful service. Supposed to hear back with a quote in a matter of days. No response. Called up after 10 days to be told the quote has been done will get it sent over straight away. That was a week ago and nothing so I wouldn’t bother if you’re hoping for a quick turnaround.

I used to shop in the Edmonton branch but when I found out when Zoe had been transfered to Loughton. I decided to take my business there.
Zoe always is polite and very helpful.
She helped with getting 8 decking panels and a few other bits on my list.
She is ever so knowledgeable and patient.
I was put at easy with my purchased and informed things could be changed if they were the incorrect size.
On entering the store it had a much better atmosphere, neat and tidy and the other staff were freindly.

We recently had our kitchen designed through Wickes, and working with Denise Bettey was the best part of the whole process. She didn’t just “design a kitchen” she listened to how we use the space, what we struggle with, and what we wanted to improve.

Her suggestions were thoughtful and practical, and she helped us avoid a couple of mistakes we would definitely have made on our own. The final design feels like it was created for us, not just pulled from a catalogue.

If you want someone who genuinely cares about getting it right, Denise is the person to ask for.

The quality of the bark itself is excellent. No smell to it and no signs of mold which has been my experience from other suppliers in the past. The price was really good, 3 x 100L bags for £30, I bought six. There was a problem when my partner laid the bark, there was some contamination in the bags, which were shredded pieces of coke/pepsi cans, some broken pieces of a blue house brick and a small piece of glass. We bought the bark to create a soft play area for our young grandchildren and we also have pets so this was a major safety concern. I contacted Wickes yesterday and reported this as I was worried that other people may buy it for the same use as us and someone may end up getting hurt. I was messaged this morning and spoke to a guy called Andrew from customer services. I sent him some pictures and he said that they would treat the matter as serious and that they would be taking steps to contact the manufacturer and make them aware. I am impressed by their immediate response to my concerns.

Kitchen and Bathroom
I found the customer service at the design stage outstanding. Getriin was my designer who demonstrated excellent knowledge of the range understanding of my requirements and flexibility in accommodating my alterations.

Bathroom Delivery went well and as expected.

Kitchen Delivery
It was not clear who to contact when I had to change my delivery date.
There were two different suppliers - the units came from one place and the worktop from another. The units were delivered as expected but the supplier for the worktop wasn’t passed the message that the date had been changed. They twice tried unsuccessfully to deliver and damaged the worktop in the process.
I also had an unfortunate experience returning some kitchen panels. I had called customer services who advised me to take the items back to the store for a refund. Arriving at the store I was told that I could not get a refund. I had to argue with various members of staff for an hour and a half before the issue was resolved. Very stressful.

I am a novice in DIY. Wickes in Chatham.
Luckily I met some very helpful people like Mike, Melissa, Shanon and Carmel on the shop floor. Melissa went out of her way to show me products and explain what could best help me. Over and above what one would expect. Mike and Shanon likewise helped with understanding what I needed and then showed me the items. Thank you Carmel, a sweet presence and she reminded me take my toilet seat home! 🥰Mr Ashok too. A gentleman! Lovely team. Thank you

Carl was friendly, extremely attentive, helpful and knowledgeable from the start of the process to have a new bathroom fitted, and all the way through. Highly recommended.

Balvinder was super helpful with planning our new kitchen. He came to the house to measure up (managed the barky dog!) and discuss what we wanted to achieve. He has so much experience and knowledge he was immediately able to suggest options we hadn't even considered. We had a further 3 meetings with him at Wickes where he was very very patient while we chopped and changed and challenged everything. He explained so much and was keen to show us examples of what we could do and the problems we might encounter. We are very happy with the result and it's all down to him!

Shirl was most helpful and very friendly even though it was nearly closing time!! What a star!!!

Seriously Concerned about their CHIP & PIN. When making my payment my pin number actually SHOWED on the Chip and Pin Machine, it then asked for my Expiry date. I queried this with the assistant and she asked me to remove my card and shock horror TURN IT OVER - I removed the card and queried where are the cameras etc as my info is visible. She shrugged and and closed down the transaction. No cancelled transaction receipt was issued. She simply restarted the process. Telephoned manager he was very dismissive. Researched on line and Masked Characters: The screen should only display asterisks (*), dots (•), or dashes (-) for each number you press.Visual Confirmation: These symbols exist only to show that the machine registered your button press without revealing the number to onlookers: Masking prevents shoulder surfing from people standing nearby.Security: It ensures cameras or skimming devices cannot easily capture your security. Contacted Fraud Department at my bank and have had to have card cancelled and a new pin issued. I feel really violated. Obviously it will all be on CCTV which is good as I was not issued a voided transaction receipt. VERY WORRYING - Won't shop there again.

The staff is really helpful.
I went in there today, needed some help with selecting some stuff for my garden.
Amrit told me which options where available and what was the best choice accordingly.
He helped me also with lifting some material to taking it to my van.
His service was excellent!
