Impossible to resell tickets

Purchased tickets for a show in Perth that could no longer attend. Reselling is impossible because the tickets issued are mobile Ticketek tickets only. Even with row and seat numbers filled in, they make it impossible by asking you to show "proof of face value", except there is no way to download or print the tickets due to their mobile-only nature - thus your listing can never be put up for resale.

SCAMMERS

I bought two tickets for Cowboys vs Storm in Townsville.
First time I do it, so the price didn’t look expensive ($179). I didn’t receive the tickets but I get the email and the order’s number. I thought it was enough.
But when we went to the venue, someone explained to us that we needed the ticket and I get probably ripped off….. $179 🤯
We bought new ones for 33$ !!! I I disputed the transaction to my bank…

I had a very frustrating experience…

I had a very frustrating experience with viagogo.

I purchased a ticket for an event that started at 7:30 PM, but I bought it at 9:58 PM -well after the event had already begun (and was effectively over). Despite this, the platform still allowed the purchase to go through.

When I contacted support, I received inconsistent and misleading responses. First I was told the ticket was purchased before the event, then later I was told it was “mid-event.” No clear explanation or proof was provided.

This is clearly a system issue - customers should not be able to buy tickets for events that have already passed.

Instead of taking responsibility, they kept repeating policy and refused to refund me.

Very disappointing experience. I would strongly advise others to be careful when using this platform.

SCAM

SCAM! Stay away!!! This company will do anything to steal your money, using the most questionable Terms & Conditions you can imagine. We tried to sell tickets on their platform but they would not accept proof of purchase that we tried uploading multiple times. Support told us to create a second listing and once both listings suddenly sold, we were liable to pay for the second listing with the money from the original listing, leaving us IN DEBT to them. They then WITHOUT AUTHORISATION charged my credit card and this is currently being disputed by my bank. Complete fraudsters, not only do they charge exorbitant transaction fees (we paid $80 in fees alone), but they also charge you without authorisation. Considering legal action now. AVOID AVOID AVOID

SCAM!! I brought 2 tickets to hilltop hoods in Melbourne march 7th 26. The tickets never arrived. They kept saying they'd been sent but they were not. I spent $473 on 2 tickets i never received. Funny how every time I tried to contact them I got 404 error page not found. Now the gig is over and its too late all of sudden contact us works? Wtaf? Avoid like the plague. If you're going to use a reseller use ticket merchant. They're legit

Not quite a scam, but very close

Very poor experience. I ordered tickets to a local NRL game and the tickets delivered turned out to be junior tickets. Initially the support team was helpful and advised that the correct tickets would be issued by 1pm the following day.

When the tickets did not arrive by 1pm, I contacted support again and was told they might be delivered up to one hour before the game. I explained that this was not workable as I needed to travel to the venue and make arrangements in advance, and requested a refund.

At that point I was told that I had actually purchased junior tickets and that nothing could be done. However, the receipt in my account does not identify the tickets as junior tickets, and this was never mentioned during earlier conversations with support.

If this had been identified when I first contacted them, I could have simply relisted the tickets on the platform and recovered the cost. Instead, this was only raised after the event, leaving no opportunity to resolve the issue.

Once it became clear there was a dispute, the chat sessions were terminated and I also encountered a 404 error when trying to access the support page.

Overall a very frustrating experience and a customer service process that seems designed to avoid resolving problems.

Complete Scam

was meant to be charged $625 was actually charged $884, i had no idea this was a reselling market for tickets. i just clicked on the first website for Guns n Roses, paid a premium price thinking i was getting what i paid for.

usually you would buy a ticket and get your code right away but you have to wait till the very day of the concert, how dodgy is that?

what if the seller doesn’t give me the ticket?
and that 1 of the thousand things that can go wrong with the terrible service.

i won’t waste too much of my time writing this review but i hope in doing so i can save other people’s time by avoiding this atrocious untrustworthy putrid “ticket reselling marketplace”

SCAMMERS

When we bought the tickets for the soccer game it showed us that they were close to the pitch and had great view, however when we paid $600!!!! Email came through and said that our seats are at the very back of the stadium with shit view. Such scammers. They also charged us more than $250 booking/ handling fees, which is outrageous.

Pricing tactics is annoying

These guys may be legit but their sneaky pricing methods are quite annoying.
They advertise the ticket for $145 but by the time you waste your time adding the card details, your personal information etc and go to check out the price shows extra fees and charges which pushed the final price to about $212.00
Very annoyed.

Hassle Receiving My Tickets

Bought soccer tickets to see Messi in Puerto Rico. The seller never sent the tickets. I was getting a 404 error trying to access the tickets. I spent hours trying to get it fixed. I had to call 3 times and talk to different agents. The last guy helped me by providing alternate tickets (although in a higher section). The previous agents told me they would escalate it but no one ever called back or provided a help desk ticket number.

Change of shipping address worked perfectly.

I initially purchased world baseball classic tickets from Australia, knowing that they were going be posted to me in paper form then I was alerted by viagogo, they wouldn't get the actual paper tickets for postage until a week before the event and if they posted I would've received them the day before the tournament. The problem was that day before the tournament was my travel day from Australia to Japan so I used the change of postal address option and sent the tickets to the hotel I was staying at in Tokyo. Viagogo let me know when the tickets had been posted and I called the hotel a couple of days later and the tickets were there. On arrival in Tokyo check-in staff had the tickets there waiting for my son and I late on the night before the game so that all worked very well. My son and I were very happy with the process.

I was Grossly treated and mislead by customer service

I had tickets to an event with my family, my uncle who had an injured foot and could not stand for long periods of time came with us as I had purchased seated tickets to the event. It got within an hour of the event and still no tickets had been sent to me so I contacted the support and was told I wouldn’t be receiving my tickets and they would help find a replacement.

My specifications that I mentioned were it needed to be seated and for all 4 of us to be together, I did mention my uncles injury. After being told I was sent replacements I checked my email and accepted the tickets not realising I had accepted standing room tickets that were much cheaper than what I had previously had. I made the mistake of blindly trusting that they would take my request seriously.

I then contacted support again and was denied any correction as I had already accepted the tickets, I tried to explain that I was told the tickets would be to my specifications but they dismissed that and completely ignored my problem, at this point we had been standing outside the venue for over half an hour which was extremely tough on my uncles injury.

The chat was ended with them saying:
“ It seems we are going in circles, and I have already shared the required information regarding your tickets. If there are no additional concerns, I will proceed to end the chat. Thank you for your time, and wish you a pleasant”.

With no further help as the had obviously stopped caring we went into the venue then were turned away and escorted out by security in front of everyone as we were sold CHILD TICKETS which I checked all the emails and information and no where was it mentioned. Being escorted out by security was extremely humiliating and degrading to the point where we had to go and pay full price once again at the ticket both for adult standing tickets as it was either that or we didn’t go.

This was an extremely gross and disgusting experience for myself and my family, especially the disregard for my uncles injury and resolving our issues. I am extremely frustrated and expecting a full refund which I am in contact with them now about, their ai chat of has actually been helpful and is showing ten times more sympathy then the human assistants did.

I will never use this app again and will be discouraging it to everyone I know. Be careful using Via GoGo as the don’t care after they’ve been paid.

Used Viagogo for the first time. Not good!

Used Viagogo for the first time, paid for tickets, looked all good, got to the time of the concert, still no tickets, went down there hoping to try and have it sorted and got knocked back. So disappointing! Will not be trying that again!
