Visited with my unwell pet rat on the…
Visited with my unwell pet rat on the 27th as he was showing signs of being on his way out. Up on arrival the first thing the vet nurse did was separate him from his brother's because "He would get bullied". In all my years of owning rat's that has never been the case and I feel it caused him more stress in an already stressful situation as he has always been with his litter mates and needed the comfort they could provide.
We were sent home after he got an injection of antibiotics and he passed away not long after getting to our normal vet.
I have never had an issue any other time I have visited this vet and found them kind and caring when other rat's have been ready to pass.
