While attempting to park my car was interrogated through the window as to what car I’m here too see and if I’m ready to buy. Felt like I didn’t have a chance to breathe.

I recently purchased a vehicle from V12 Sports and Classics, and the experience was deeply disappointing from start to finish.
• 4.5-Hour Wait & High-Pressure Upselling: The buying process took four and a half hours, most of which was spent sitting in the waiting area or being subjected to relentless upselling tactics for extras I did not want.
• Mis-sold £149 Fee: When reviewing the final paperwork, I was told I "HAD" to pay £149 for peace of mind cover. When I stated I didn't need it, I was explicitly told it was a "mandatory cost."
• Careless Vehicle Handover: Staff knew I had a 300-mile drive back to Scotland, yet handed over the electric vehicle with only 18% battery remaining. This showed a complete lack of basic preparation and pre-delivery standards.
• Disguised Paint Damage: A few days after, while washing the car, I discovered three deep scratches that had been temporarily filled in with touch-up paint, which is now flaking off. Disguising pre-existing defects rather than disclosing or properly repairing them is unacceptable.
Overall, the lack of transparency, high-pressure environment, and poor vehicle preparation have left me with zero trust in this dealership.
I strongly advise prospective buyers to exercise caution when dealing with V12 Sports and Classics

I dont usually leave reviews, but after such a bad experience, i feel its right to alert other potential customers.
I spoke to two people on the phone before visiting the store as it is a long way from home. They were helpful and gave me lots of information.
I visited the dealership and found the sales guys very pushy. I actually visited a different one of the stores a few years back and found the same but that time I escaped reletively quickly. However it seems my experience has been consitant.
I asked before I got there about the condition of the car and the paintwork as I thought it looked marked in the pictures. I was told that was reflections and the car was in good condition. When I arrived I instantly regretted the two hour drive. The car was really badly scratched from what looked like country lanes. It also had 3 dents when I was told there were no dents and the inside of the car had dog hairs. The boot was especially bad. Considering the car was 5 years old I have seen cars 3 times the age in better condition.
The sales person tripped up on knowledge of the car 3 times when it came to history and information about the car compared to what we subsequently read in the documents he gave us.
I also looked around the car lot as I had seen multiple vehicles online that I recognised and nearly all of them looked not as good in person.
Whilst I appreciate no second hand car will look perfect and there will always be some wear and tear the percentage here that seemed below par was high.
I have since looked at online reviews and also found some terrible information on social media. I actually don’t know why anyone would part with their cash here.
Additionally, seeing so many negative reviews and concerning feedback from other customers online only reinforces my experience. I really should have done more research before making the trip. It seems I am not the only one who has faced these issues, which raises serious concerns about their business practices.
I feel the generic replies as more of an action to please the algorithm and mark a review as “replied” rather than something with substance and action.
For future customers, please do your research and thing carefully.

Unfortunately, my experience here was very disappointing. As soon as I walked through the door, I was approached by several members of the sales team almost immediately, which felt unnecessarily intense.
What really surprised me was seeing two members of staff arguing between themselves over who was going to deal with me. It was awkward, unprofessional and not the sort of customer service I would expect from a reputable dealership.
I completely understand that salespeople want to secure a customer, but the way this was handled made the whole experience uncomfortable rather than welcoming. Definitely not the impression you want to be left with when considering spending a significant amount of money on a car.

Excellent service. Very enjoyable from the beginning. We will use them again. Mia the Handover leader was very helpful. 10/10 service.

Alisha was great with helping me buy my new car. She was very knowledgeable and answered all the questions I had without a problem.

The worst car buying experience you can have.
They sell you a car and pressure you in to all optional extras like warranty which you would think you can use and you would be wrong.
Purchased a car 3 months ago and the whole experience has been a joke within the first few days I had issues, which after chasing around they sent me to garage which then found another issue.
They didn't like the price so after chasing again another 3
weeks passed to go to a different garage which didn't rectify either issue so another 3weeks later I took it back again with another issue 4 now in total without rectifying anything.
Absolute joke of a company do not use these cowboys.

After completing our purchase of the F-pace we discovered a problem, however the after sales admin were very helpful and we were able to get the problem fixed locally and the company refunded our cost.
We are thrilled with our purchase and would recommend V12 services to anyone.

Trying to be fair, perhaps the Worksop branch isn't representative of the entire company, I hope so. I also blame myself, my gut instinct was telling me to walk away, more fool me.
But this has been a disgraceful episode. For a start, a £179 fee was initially charged, for sundry "benefits", which I didn't think were worth it, but was told was compulsory, even when I said that effectively that made the vehicle price higher than advertised. By pure luck I then overheard another customer being given the OPTION of this 'extra', and having pointed that out, it was removed, but this left a bad taste.
As I said, more fool me for carrying on; if a car salesman is caught in one bare faced lie, what else will they be lying about? Walk away.
I work with the public myself, there isn't a business in the world that doesn't have problems with a sale from time to time, what matters is how you then handle people who are already aggrieved, who you have already let down. V12, in Worksop at any rate, have been a disgrace in that regard.
Some faults emerged in the vehicle, and being within the first 30 days of ownership I informed V12 that I was CONSIDERING rejecting the vehicle, but wanted to give them the opportunity to comment, and sort things amicably. First email = ignored. Second email = you need to do XY and Z, etc. Excuse me? Not a word acknowledging my statutory rights, just telling me to run around after them. Not a word about the upset, the inconvenience, the feeling of having been made a mug of, the fear of what else might go wrong in future, and most of all the time and financial cost of running this to a garage for tests. I'm self-employed, any time out entails a direct loss of earnings, yet these people expect me to run around after them, when I kept my side of the bargain, while they, who have sold a defective vehicle, sit with their feet up.
Fine. Having tried to be reasonable, and given them an opportunity to engage amicably, I sent a formal letter, still within the 30 days period when I am allowed to do so, formally rejecting the vehicle, asking for a refund and stating that I will escalate matters to the County Court if don't receive it within 14 days.
I wish I could actually attach the complacent, bullying, arrogant response I received today, because the description above doesn't come close. Suffice it to say, still no acknowledgement of my legal right to reject the vehicle, just "do this, do that", and implied threats that repairs won't be paid for. Shameless.
But the single most concerning thing is the way they imply, in correspondence, that "well this is the system and that's that". Now I know my rights, I'll be filing a claim against these crooks in the County Court on 24th August. There's many people out there who don't, who will be taken in by this sort of rank dishonesty, who think that what they're told is what they have to do.
I get things wrong sometimes, but I make damn sure that when I do, I put things right so that my customer either isn't compromised, or is recompensed if they are. All these crooks are interested in is weaselling out of their responsibilities.
Once they have your money, they won't give a toss if anything is wrong. Avoid. Like the plague.

Avoid at all costs!
Arranged a test drive of a VW T-Roc at V12 in Hinkley on Friday 07/08/26 for 2pm. Liked the car so sat down with salesman (Onder) to talk numbers.
V12 offered a pitiful trade in for my car of £7500 which I refused.
After much time came back with an amended offer of £9000 which I still refused and walked away.
After discussing with partner overnight we decided to go for deal, so rung V12 back up on Saturday 08/08/26 to ask if deal was still available. When I gave car reg number to the female who answered, she said that the salesman had put a note against car, that if customer phoned back that the same deal would still be offered. Happy with that I put down a £99 deposit to secure the car. The female said that the car would be reserved and withdrawn from sale for me.
I asked her to get the salesman to call me back and confirm the details and arranged to come back on Monday 10th to pay balance and collect the car. No call was received Saturday or Sunday and no receipt for the deposit either despite the money leaving my bank.
The car remained on sale on V12 website and Autotrader all weekend and didn’t look like it had been withdrawn at all.
I phoned at opening time of 10am on Monday 10th to confirm appointment and was told I was booked in for 11am.
On arrival I was told to wait which again I did for over an hour as Onder served another customer, which I found very unprofessional.
He said he needed to check trade in figures again with his manager.
This was done again and on his return I was shocked to find trade in deal was now only £8553 and not the £9000 offered on Friday 7th.
I was not happy with this so asked to speak to a manager.
Raj the sales controller came in to see me. I told him either they stick to original trade in offer or I would get refund on deposit and walk away.
That trust had been lost and it was appalling customer service to go back on a deal on an £18495 car for the sake of £447.
He said he would go and check figures again but came back and said no they could not offer original deal as profit margins were so tight.
So after two trips to V12 in Hinkley (totalling 172 miles around trips from Corby) I drove away feeling angry and disgusted at the customer service I had received and the inconvenience caused by wasting my time.
V12 was founded as a family run business but they have gotten to big for their boots and now no longer seem to put their customers first, just interested in maximising profits at the expense of alienating their customers with false promises. I’m sure the original founder would be shocked at how his business is now being conducted.
