What an amazing experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend this company. Sale person was great and got me the right deal so I could afford the work. The guys that turned up to complete the work we very considerate as the work was to update my porch which was the only entrance and exit. They worked hard and were very tidy. The quality of was was exceptional.

ORANGERY/SUN ROOM EXTENSION IN A LIMITED SPACE
My initial enquiry for a small orangery extension was welcome. There was no sales pressure and my request to consider the details over a few days was reassuring as was the 3 stage payment system, especially the final payment held until completion. The 10year guarantee understandably gives peace of mind too.
All the teams that were involved, both in the office and on site were professional, friendly, conscientious and explained the many enquiries from me as time moved on.
As the work neared completion the few remedial issues that understandably became evident were dealt with promptly and not once did I regret my decision to go ahead with the project despite the anticipated time to complete the build extended a little more than initially expected.
I'm over the moon with the extension and would certainly recommend Tyneside Home Improvements.

My favourite part of the house now
What a professional and friendly company. We contacted Tyneside with the view of extending out from our kitchen, which is a new build, but the kitchen/diner just wasn’t working. From Dans initial consultation, to the team of workman, Jo in the after care and Dale who had to come to tweak a problem with the windows, it was such a smooth project. Always on time, weather dependant, if there was a problem it was rectified without question and within an acceptable time limit.
Would I recommend this Company, yes, in an instant

This is the second time I have used this company in the last year, once for my own homework, and the second time I recommended the company I work for to use them. They have just finished the extension on one of the company’s properties and like the work they done on my property, they delivered a very professional job. Garage conversion with heart & soul
Following some devastating family news, we needed a bedroom with en-suite garage conversion as a matter of urgency. THI were recommended by our neighbour ( previous THI customer). I made the call with hope for a quick response with low expectations. Surely this wasn’t possible right? Enter THI, they recognised our exceptional position, were in budget and offered a 2 week start date! Every interaction, without exception, was professional, considerate and genuine. The management of the project was done seamlessly by Damon, always keeping us informed. The tradesman were skilled, knowledgeable & good humoured. First fix stage was heavy going and Graham, joined a few days later by Cam, were excellent. They were hard working & respectful (amazing what you can learn from YouTube eh Graham?). The joiner, plasterers, electricians and plumber kept the same high standards throughout, and did you proud THI. I have no hesitation in recommending them. What could have been an impossible task, at the worst possible time, was completed to schedule, with empathy and good spirit.

Great company for garage conversion
We had a full single storey rear extension, toilet and garage conversion built in 2021. Tyneside home improvements were great, workers always polite and hardworking and listened to anything we wanted done and how we wanted it. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic Service
We had great service in 2023 - so good that they’re going to do some more windows for us this year! They were efficient, stuck to agreed timescales and were incredibly tidy. The quality of the windows was excellent - for the first time in over 30 years the front room has been too warm in winter!
I would highly recommend.

Love my orangery but it’s too hot!
We had an orangery built on our kitchen which was complete around May/June time and I absolutely love it. Cannot fault the builders at all, they were all lovely and did great work (especially Steve, couldn’t do enough for us.)
In the beginning we’d decided to keep our doors and windows in the kitchen to cut down costs but later we realised it would be much better without so contacted THI to ask to make a change to our plans. Initially we were told this was fine and we signed a new contract. We were then contacted on the day our building work started to advise our changes weren’t possible, they had already ordered the materials and would need to carry out new building reg checks so declined the new plan and we had to sign another contract. This was really disappointing when you’re spending 29K to be told you can’t have what you want. It meant we had to employ a builder after the initial work was done to take the doors and windows out and spend more money.
The salesman who met with us initially showed us the special glass that doesn’t get too hot in the summer and doesn’t get too cold in the winter. I’ve been working from home in the extension and I’m boiling all the time, often having to sit with windows and doors open or have a fan on, even when there’s no direct sunlight and it’s raining. Painters and handymen who have been working in that room have commented on how warm it is, so I would say don’t believe the hype about the special windows, it will still be warm. As we’ve had the windows and doors taken out of the kitchen it means on a sunny day it also makes the kitchen unbearably warm, especially when cooking.
Overall, I absolutely love my extension, it makes the house look so much better and bigger, best money I’ve spent, but do be aware of the ‘special windows’ and make sure you’re 100% happy with the first contract you sign because chances are they won’t let you change anything later.
