Best wedding venue I have been to

We had a family wedding at The Ravenswood yesterday and stayed overnight in the disabled access room, the room was ideal, with a super sized wet room. It was so unusual to find a comfort height WC and very supportive shower seat and good handrails all round.

The whole event from start to finish was absolutely first class, we were made to feel welcome straight away and I can only say every member of staff we encountered were always pleased to help and ensure we had a great time, I can only ask the management to thank them all on our behalf, I think they enjoyed having the assistance dog there too.

The food was fantastic everything that should be hot was hot and the wedding meal will be something I remember for its presentation and quality of ingredients and taste, the canapes after the ceremony need a mention too. I feel its a shame you cannot go for a meal at any other time as if it were a restaurant it would be booked every night.

As a wedding photographer

As a wedding photographer, we had the pleasure of capturing a wedding at The Ravenswood in Sussex, and we must say, it was an incredible experience. From the moment we stepped onto the property, we were in awe of the beauty of the 15th century Manor House. Nestled in the rolling countryside of Sharpthorne, the venue is located in the heart of the Ashdown Forest, and it truly is beautiful. The setting provides a peaceful and serene backdrop for your big day.

The Ravenswood offers a great deal of flexibility for couples, as it can accommodate up to 150 guests for civil ceremonies and up to 300 guests for evening receptions. The property is massive, and the happy couple has exclusive use of the function rooms and 18 acres of grounds on their wedding day, making the experience truly special.

One of the highlights of this venue for us was the Getting Ready Room. This room provides a space for the bride and her bridesmaids to get ready in a relaxed and comfortable environment before the big day. The Honeymoon Suite was also a standout feature, offering the perfect place for the newlyweds to end their perfect day. And with a total of 33 bedrooms on the property, there are plenty of options for guests to stay overnight.

The exquisite menus offered by The Ravenswood cater to all dietary requirements, which is a testament to their commitment to providing a memorable experience for all guests. The venue truly goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels at home.

In conclusion, The Ravenswood is an amazing wedding venue that provides a peaceful and serene setting, ample space for guests, and plenty of luxurious amenities to make the day truly special. We highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a dream wedding location.

Kindest regards
The Kensington Photographer
