I ordered some curtain fabric on June…
I ordered some curtain fabric on June 23rd this year, it arrived 1 m short. Although annoying I accept human error , however the process of getting this rectified and the full amount of material finally being received has taken 7 weeks. Terry's need a better system of dealing with this, I could not take a photo of this 'fault', how do you take a photo of 8m instead of 9m? Evri let me down , Terry's response was slow, I did all the chasing.
Won't be using terry's again.

We completely understand your point regarding the missing metre and the difficulty of providing a photograph to evidence a shortfall in fabric. We also recognise that you had to do too much of the chasing yourself, and we apologise that our communication and resolution process did not meet the standard we expect.
While courier issues can sometimes be outside our control, we accept that it was ultimately our responsibility to ensure your order was properly resolved. Seven weeks is far too long to wait for the correct quantity of fabric, and we appreciate your patience while this was being rectified.
Your feedback about how we handle shortages has been taken on board and will be shared with the relevant team as we look to improve the process. There is a wide range of fabrics to choose from. Samples are available, which is great as colours are not really accurate on the screen. Ordering is straight forward. Samples and orders are dealt with very promptly.

Disgusting customer service - do not look for help if anything goes wrong!
The mark of any company is doing the right thing when things go wrong. Unfortunately for me , a customer of many years and a big advocate of Terrys, they have let me down badly. I purchased three cushion covers, no care labels attached to any of them and no specific care instructions for them on website. Yes the curtains and blinds show dry clean only but NOTHING for covers .Despite all of this verifiable information, I’m left with three 100% cotton cushion covers costing over £70 completely ruined as “I should have checked the care instructions for curtains/blinds on the website”. Poor show Terrys and you have lost not one but the many customer I have recommended to you in the past. No customers service… happy to take your money but if anything goes wrong you will get zero help even when they are very clearly in the wrong… no labels and NO care info for cushion covers… I am shocked at the lack of customer care.

No need of a reply, unless that is you want a reply that concedes no responsibility for any wrongdoing and likes to totally absolve themselves. I don't think the mantra of Terry's is customer service!
Although make sure people you measure and remeasure because the pins that slot into brackets are included in the overall width. Lesson learned but first company I've used that do this! Good news is I've managed to sell it and get some of the wasted money.

In reply as you want to make it public knowledge and the public need to be aware of the full facts! Your 'offer 'was for me to buy another blind to receive half the cost of the original blind back only once the new blind ordered and paid in full, the original blind returned at my cost!? The measurements would have been identical? Should I not want this offer, a credit note would be issued to use at a later date, but my faith in Terry's ability to get it right was diminished, so not an option!?. The cost would have been doubled. As for aligning the measurements to the current wooden blind, absolutely not. All measurements were taken in isolation, several times in line with the advice, kindly sent several times. Far from ignoring the advice, as written in the reply, it was followed to Terry's precise recommendations. To add to your claim it was an 'error' by the customer, the length of the blind was wrong too, well over the advised length!??? What is your answer to that? So both width and length were wrong!?
I reiterate, Terry's took absolutely no interest in admitting any wrong doing but as your response is basically designed to ridicule the customer, make the customer appear inadequate and a very mocking tone, its here for everyone to read. Hardly a conciliatory approach.I exercised my right to share my experience and a right of reply to your comments which are designed to make the customer look foolish and unable to understand basic measuring guidance. Shameful!

We have reviewed the details of your order and, on this occasion, the blind was received too short because the measuring guidance provided for this product was not followed. We did provide the relevant measuring information when this was raised, although we appreciate that you may not have agreed with the guidance provided.
We also offered a goodwill contribution towards a replacement, which was unfortunately declined as you felt this was simply an attempt to obtain more money from you.
We would also like to clarify that the wooden blind you referred to when discussing the measurements of the blind already fitted in your window was not supplied by Terry’s and is a different blind. Unfortunately, using the measurements or fitting of another manufacturer's blind as a comparison does not alter the manufacturer's measuring requirements for this product.
We’re pleased to hear that you have been able to sell the blind and recover some of the cost, and we’re sorry that your experience has left you feeling that you would not use us again. We always aim to provide clear product information and support our customers where we can, including offering a goodwill solution where appropriate.
