Fantastic clean & friendly service

Fantastic clean & friendly service. Made it really simple to contact and arrange. Clear quotes and prompt invoice & receipt. We had a hard day clearing out my dad’s house who passed away last year but the 2 ladies that arrived were an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Would recommend.

Booked a cleaning

Booked a cleaning, paid for babysitter £150 and travelled 1 hour and they cancelled 30 minutes before arrival. Please do not offer services if you cannot do it as people really expecting and planning things during moving. Not worth it of stress or headache. Promised call back, didn't even bother to call. Waste of time this company is a joke!

As this occurred on a Sunday, our ability to arrange a last-minute replacement team was extremely limited, which regrettably meant we were unable to attend as planned.

We fully understand how disruptive this was, especially given the travel, childcare arrangements, and the timing around a move. This is not the level of service we aim to provide, and we sincerely apologise that we were unable to support you on this occasion. We also acknowledge that the promised callback should have been made, and we are sorry that this added to your frustration.

Your feedback has been noted and will be used to improve our contingency planning and communication in situations outside of our control. We truly regret the inconvenience caused and appreciate you taking the time to raise this with us.

Advertising as a professional cleaning…

Advertising as a professional cleaning company carries certain expectations, none of which were met in this case.

The cleaners arrived with no uniform, no ID badges, and no company vehicle, despite attending the home of a 78-year-old elderly man with dementia. The cleaning equipment used was basic household products and a Rug Doctor carpet cleaner, which could easily have been hired independently from a local supermarket.

Three men attended the property. One appeared to be of student age and wore a hoodie with the hood up throughout the visit. He demonstrated no cleaning experience, using Mr Sheen polish spray indiscriminately on multiple surfaces. This resulted in smear marks throughout the property and damage to sealant in several areas of the bathroom.

The work was rushed and corners were cut. A sofa was paid to be steam cleaned, yet only one side was cleaned. When the cushions were lifted, there was visible debris underneath, showing the sofa had not been vacuumed prior to steam cleaning. Overall, there was a complete lack of attention to detail: dirt remained throughout the property, windows were smeared, and the kitchen hob and extractor hood were left unclean.

We were forced to repeatedly show the cleaners how to clean properly. They left in a hurry, and we had to request that they return to address the poor standard of work. When their substandard cleaning was pointed out, they responded by laughing.

I contacted the company’s head office to raise a complaint. The customer service agent was rude and unhelpful. When I requested to speak to a manager, excuses were made before the call was abruptly ended, claiming they had other clients calling. There was no accountability or willingness to resolve the issue.

This company does not operate as a professional cleaning service. Their conduct was unprofessional and unacceptable, and they appear to have taken advantage of an elderly person’s home by providing an extremely poor standard of cleaning. Legal advice has now been sought regarding this matter.

Based on my experience, I do not recommend

I booked an end-of-tenancy clean with Tenancy Cleaner and was disappointed with the standard. During the appointment I raised that the main entrance/balcony area was still visibly dirty and I was left with the clear expectation it would be addressed before the team left. It wasn’t.

On the day, the explanation I was given was that cleaning it might “dirty the vacuum” and that there was no broom available. I followed up in writing, provided photos, and requested a modest partial refund/price reduction, but the company’s final position was no compensation.

In response to the company’s public replies: I dispute that I requested pressure washing “on the spot”. The references to bird droppings/hygiene were not raised with me on the day and were not mentioned in the email correspondence when I complained and provided photos. Regardless of the reason given, the outcome for me was that the entrance area remained visibly dirty at completion and no remedy was offered. Based on my experience, I would not use the service again.

The issue raised on the day related to the balcony, which was not included in your original booking. Balcony cleaning and pressure washing are optional add-on services and must be requested in advance so the correct equipment, including a pressure washer, can be brought to the property.

When our team arrived, you requested pressure washing for the balcony on the spot. As this service was not booked beforehand, the team did not have the necessary machinery with them and therefore could not carry it out. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer compensation for a service that was not included or paid for in the original booking.

We appreciate that this may have been frustrating, but our pricing and equipment planning are based strictly on the services selected at the time of booking. We always encourage customers to review the itemised quote carefully and let us know in advance if any additional areas need to be included so we can accommodate them properly.

Thank you for the update. We would like to clarify our position and address the points raised.

Kindly note that the balcony area was not included in your original booking. Our end-of-tenancy service covers internal areas only unless external areas are specifically added at the time of booking. As the balcony was not part of the agreed scope, it was not scheduled for cleaning.

Additionally, the balcony in question was affected by bird droppings. For hygiene and safety reasons, we could not clean this area using indoor equipment, as this would risk contamination of tools used inside the property. We do not use internal vacuums or mops for external waste such as bird fouling.

We also need to clarify that we reserve the right to refuse adding services on the day if we are not prepared or do not have the required equipment available. External balcony cleaning and pressure washing require specific machinery and protective equipment, which must be planned and allocated in advance. As this service was not booked beforehand, our team was not equipped to carry it out.

As the balcony cleaning was not included in the booking and no additional service was paid for, we are unable to offer compensation for this area. We appreciate your feedback, but our position remains based on the agreed scope of work and health and safety considerations.

good, not great.

Good, not great. The end of tenancy cleaning was generally great - most areas done to a high standard, but some things were missed - fridge missed completely, some walls and floors had bits missed. Also, they charged extra in the end because of needing to take more time which is fine, but I was a little harassed by phonecalls over the next 12 hours while I was trying to move, with them asking when I was going to pay.

The fridge was not included in the original booking, which is why it was not cleaned. All quotes are itemised, and appliances such as fridges need to be specifically selected to be included in the service.
In addition, wall cleaning is not part of our standard end of tenancy cleaning service, as walls often require specialist treatment depending on paint type, condition, or potential damage.

Regarding the additional charge, this was agreed on the day due to the property requiring more time than originally quoted, and we appreciate your confirmation that this was fair. We do apologise if the follow-up calls felt excessive. Our intention was simply to close the job administratively, especially as payment had been agreed, but we understand that moving day can be stressful and we regret any inconvenience caused.

The team that come to my flat did an incredible job!
I had neglected my flat after I was made redundant to the point where a simple tidy wouldn’t do, so when I came home to my newly cleaned flat, it looked like new!
An amazing job that was more than worth the price!

DO NOT HIRE: Unprofessional, Unreliable, and Total Scammers

I am beyond frustrated with this company. Despite their polished Google ads, they are a complete nightmare to deal with and I regret ever paying them a single penny. Avoid them at all costs.

Insecure Payment Practices Their payment process is incredibly shady. They expect you to call and give all your credit card details over the phone, which sounds extremely insecure. If you aren't comfortable with that, your only options are bank transfer or cash. It feels like they are operating in the dark ages or trying to avoid any accountability.

Gross Incompetence and Excuses I had to spell out my address to the agent multiple times. Even after sending a follow up email to revise their mistakes, they still sent an invoice with the wrong address. When I called them out, they lied and claimed their system generates the address from the postcode. That is a blatant lie because the postcode was the only thing they got right; the rest were obvious manual spelling errors. They cannot even handle basic data entry.

The "Add-on" Bait and Switch This was the most infuriating part. I specifically selected the trash disposal add-on in my initial application. When the cleaners arrived, they had no idea this was included. I called the office, and while they admitted I had requested it on my form, they refused to honor it because it wasn't on the final quotation.

Instead of fixing their mistake, they had the audacity to blame me. They told me I "should have" noticed it was missing from the item headings and that I "should have known" something was wrong because they didn't ask for photos of the trash beforehand. To top off the insult, they tried to charge me an extra £200 just to throw away some cardboard boxes. This is on top of the £600 I had already paid.

Final Verdict They are unprofessional, they blame the customer for their own administrative failures, and their pricing is predatory. They are unreliable and a complete waste of money. Do yourself a favor and find a legitimate cleaning company that actually knows how to run a business.

We do accept card payments over the phone, and these are processed securely. Card payment, bank transfer, and cash on the day are all standard options we offer, and customers are free to choose whichever method they are most comfortable with.

Regarding rubbish disposal, this service is not available in all locations. For your property, rubbish disposal is not provided, which is why it was not included in the final itemised quotation. While it may have been selected in the initial request form, services are only confirmed once they appear on the final quote. We clearly confirmed the booking as a cleaning service only. We acknowledge that we may not have sent a separate email explicitly stating that rubbish disposal was unavailable in your area, and we apologise for any confusion this caused.

Concerning the address, this was a sensitive property location. In such cases, we usually require the full address to be confirmed clearly by email or text to avoid errors. While the postcode was correct, the remaining address details required confirmation, and any administrative errors were unintentional.

The additional cost discussed was not a bait and switch. It was a separate quotation provided only after a request was made for a service that was not included in the confirmed booking and not available in your area. Rubbish removal involves additional handling and disposal requirements and is therefore treated separately where it is offered.

We regret that the experience did not meet your expectations and recognise that communication could have been clearer. However, the service delivered was in line with the confirmed quotation.
