This is absolutely the worst company…
This is absolutely the worst company ever!! and the customer service should be -1 star. Contact states collection every week, we will be lucky if we get a collection once a month and every time you call they tell you the same thing..they will call transport and make it high priority and someone should be there the next day or two. This will go on for about a month and when asked to speak to a manager you are told that there is no manager available. PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY. CONTRACT HAS BEEN CANCELLED
Shred-It service is nonexistent
Former employer had used Shred-It, now Stericycle, for more than eight years. When I needed a monthly shredding service, I immediately reached out to Shred-It. Didn’t think to check reviews, because they had been so reliable.
But they’re not the same. I placed order and signed contract in July, after confirming there would be no charge for the box, that only pickup service would be charged.
Box was delivered a little over two weeks later, in August. In September, a guy came by to scan the box, but didn’t pick anything up. I told him that made me uncomfortable and nervous, since pickups had yet to be scheduled two months in.
Almost exactly three months to the day, still with no pickup and no schedule for pickup, I receive an invoice for 1-1/2 times the amount quoted for pickup!
I emailed both the sales rep and operations two weeks ago, no response. Last week I wrote snail mail letter to executive office.
At this point, I think they do not want my business. They want to invoice without providing services. Will likely have to retain attorney to nullify the contract, which they have already effectively breached.

for over 2 years in contract with them the company failed 90% of collections. Emails are answered as and when they feel so. Over a month of waiting to get the simple information on when is next planned collection due and how to change the address, Calling is pointless ,you only will be asked to email to get an answer... there was no allowances for Covid situation even though they could not fulfill their obligations due to the simple fact that my business was not able to operate. If you want to make changes to your contract such as address within the same area , you will be automatically bound in a new 3 years contract. If your working hours changes they are not interested in making notes on their system either but will remind you what opening hours are on your contract.
Over all, once the contract with them runs out, never again!

Very bad company, call them every week to get my money back! Every time the say it has been transferred !!! Hope I can make a complaint elsewhere so that this company can be stopped!

No customer service skills when it comes to Stericycle. After getting conned into extending my contract which I have been trying to exit for 8 years, I just gave up and gladly paid the early termination fee. GOOD RIDDANCE! We've had great experience ever since with our local vendor Advowaste.

I used them for a Fitbit Force product recall and this company is ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. It took them 3+ months and they never sent me a check! They sent me a recall box and that got here in 2 days. They obviously have fast shipping, but when they're going to send money, suddenly they can't do that. I called them numerous times and they just kept lying to me about how "It's going to be there in a week." I just told them forget it and send me my watch back. Bad customer service. Scam company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Their description is literally "garbage company". Should have seen that as a red flag.

Went for a monthly plan of $29 with quarterly pickups. Tried to cancel at the end of the year and they said it was a 5 year contract. 5 years! I would never sign up for 5 years! They now want to bill for the 4 years of service! Guess I will see them in court. Avoid these guys!
Really bad company
Really bad company. They didnt manage to collect my sharp bin even once by one year of agreement. Now I need to pay early termination fee to switch to normal responsible company. Poor communication. They dont offer any support to the customer to resolve the issue.

My girlfriend was lied to by salesman (Stefan Lipinski) about collection of her sharps bin. He claimed it was fine that she wouldn't be in the premises when sharps were collected (not true) and that her contract was 12 months (it was 24 months in reality).
This meant that across her 2 year contract after multiple calls/emails to arrange collection at a time when someone could sign off with driver, she only managed to have her sharps bin collected twice (just £138 per collection!).
On her first collection day when the problems with collection became apparent, she immediately called the company to inform them she'd been misled and missold. She was told bluntly that she had no recourse and that she could not cancel the contract within the two years despite it being no use to her!
5 months before the contract term ended, she terminated the contract in writing via email to ensure it didn't auto renew. No response, she emailled again. After a few weeks they apologised for the delay and replied that the request had been elevated to her account manager. She asked for said persons name/contact details and was not given a reply yet again.
Now 3 months after her contract ended, out of the blue, they decide to charge her again but for an increased amount. I didn't think companies could alter DD amounts without getting written authorisation from the bank account holder or giving 10 days written notice according to the direct debit guarantee.
She is now trying to get the last charge back from this company, wish her luck!
Absolutely awful company
Absolutely awful company. Terrible service. They honestly do not give a f*** about the customer and will not do anything to help or right the wrongs they have done. Absolute DISGRACE.
