For the love of God DONT USE STERICYCLE
For the love of God, DO NOT use Stericycle. Absolute worst experience we've ever had with a business. We've been stuck in a contract with them for the last 2 years (We have 3 to go -_-) and we have never had a single smooth hazardous waste pickup with them. They always have to reattempt the pickup at least once since they don't know how to make it during office hours. Lots of billing issues, customer service representatives are awful. I wouldn't wish dealing with them on my worst enemy.

This company is fraudulent
This company is fraudulent. They billed my credit card and never supplied any services. I have called their one 800 number numerous times. You start out with overseas operators and then you have to threaten them to get to a supervisor. The supervisors lie consistently. I have been waiting for my refund and I still have not received it. Do not do business with this company at all! my sales representative, Mike De Bord was the worst!

The one thing I can say to any prospective customer is please stay away, unless you want a never ending headache. Fraud, rudeness bordering on violent behavior, unprofessional, disruptive to my clinic and patients privacy, no consideration or understanding to collaborate with a small business, are just a few of the things I have experienced. I have been dealing with this company for the past year both as my medical waste and secure paper shredding company. At the start everyone seemed positive and seemed like they wanted to help me set up an account and guide me through the process. I was set up with someone who I was told would be my account manager and help to set up my online profile to schedule pickups and handle automated payments. This was at the end of March of 2023, not even a week later I reached out to discuss how to manage my profile and no one knew who this individual was nor was willing to help me to find anyone to assist. I had a rude driver who came into my clinic for medical waste pickup. He barged into patient treatment rooms without care if they were in use, saying "Well where is it?" referring to the waste and once shown where the location of the bio hazard room was located, told me that "The amount of waste here isn't worth his time" and would not take the waste and departed. He still charged the business as though he took the waste however. I had to call and get a supervisor involved in order for the driver to make another trip the following week and pick up the unsanitary waste. This horror is not the worst of it. I was told afterwards that the driver "made stops" and told the company we weren't at the location even though I had open hours and was seeing patients and he never came into the clinic. Later on it changed and he scheduled pickups as it was "more convenient for the driver to come on a day Tuesday morning". My clinic is always closed that day for surgical procedures. When I made the company aware of this they backed their employee and not the paying customer stating that that is his allotted time and I should make adjustments. I was then finally given a supervisor to talk to who stated to me that it would be his responsibility to take care of my account. We spoke and I signed a new contract and was credited for the previous issues and was told we would have a new driver. I thought that the problems would end. After I noticed that I was still being charged for pickups even though again the driver did not show up to clinic. I called and tried to get a hold of the supervisor and no response. I emailed several times through several months, still no response. Finally after 2 months my secretary got a hold of him and his response was "Oh I guessed I must have missed these". No apology, no rebuttal, a passing thought. My receptionist explained that we were charged after cancellation of service as well as named receipt given for an employee. When told that we don't have an employee at this office with that name he stated of I will look into this and the resolution was they charged me for the service anyway. This is just the tip of the issues with the company, I will be pursuing litigation for all the hours I had my employees waste, the trauma caused by the driver to my employees as they feared for their well being, fraudulent charges, and disruption of my patients privacy.

Stericycle is absolute garbage
Stericycle is absolute garbage. They have been double billing the same account for the company I work for over the last year. We have had several issues with missed pickups and it takes me at minimum, an entire week of countless calls and emails every day to get ahold of anyone. And then, they charge us for an additional pickup even though they are at fault for missing the pickup! There is never a supervisor available, EVER. I am always promised that I will receive a call back within 48 hours and then the only communication I receive is an email telling me that my case has been resolved and closed, without ever speaking to anyone!!! Avoid this company at all costs. No one knows what they are doing there and no one is able to thoroughly understand the issues that you are calling about. The is hands down the worst vendor I have ever had to deal with. Look at their rating. There are so many other options.
This company is crooked
This company is crooked, when they ask you to sign a contract its for 12 months minimum. and if you do not cancel 60 days in advance of the contract end they automatically renew you for another year, and then they can raise the price without your know ledge. In the days of auto payments there is nothing you can do to get them to stop debiting your bank! TRUST ME THIS COMPANY IS NO GOOD

This company lacks proper customer service and professionalism. Despite exchanging 45 emails with them to inquire about pricing for their services, they continue to ignore our requests. I have no intention of ever working with them again.
Does not abide to their contract except for billing
This company continuously does not adhere to their medical waste pick up schedule, which they provide. Yet still charge and claim pick up occurred. They do not abide to their cancellation terms set forth in their service agreement and cause OSHA violations for medical businesses due to their lack of services.
The portal has many issues
The portal has many issues, you can not properly manage your account from Admin portal access without calling customer service/ portal support. Once you are able to reach a live person you will probably need to call 4-5 more times before you reach someone who is competent enought to help resolve the problem.
Stericycle is an Unethical company
Please DO NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACT with this company, they are horrible to deal with. They would keep you on hold, employ unethical tactics to keep your account from cancelling, waste a lot of time. Please do business with other companies and do not waste your time with Stericycle.
There are other services available that will do a better job than this company.

I AM BUSY WITH MY COMPANY AND WHEN I HAD THE OPTION OF AUTOPAY WITH MY CREDIT CARD, I COMPLETED THE ONLINE SIGN-UP. THEN IT WAS OUT OF SIGHT OUT OF MIND UNTIL I RECEIVED NOTIFICATION THAT I WAS OVERDUE ON MY ACCOUNTS FOR THE LAST THREE MONTHS. THINKING I DID SOMETHING WRONG AND COMPLETED THE SAME SIGN-UP AGAIN. THREE MONTHS LATER, ANOTHER NOTIFICATION. THEN I CALLED AND MADE THE ARRANGEMENTS WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE TO HAVE AUTOPAY. THREE MONTHS LATER ANOTHER NOTIFICATION. I DID THIS FOR ANOTHER 9 MONTHS. I FOUND ANOTHER COMPANY THAT TOOK CARE OF MY SHREDDING AND MEDICAL WASTE REMOVAL. HERE IS A LIST OF MY COMMUNICATIONS WITH STERICYCLE.

MARCH 12, 2024 AT 11:12 AM, RECEIVED ANOTHER EMAIL FROM THE ACCOUNT RECEIVABLE TEAM ABOUT OVERDUE BALANCE. I DECIDED TO CALL STERICYCLE. AT 2:40 PM, I CALLED STERICYCLE AND TALKED TO JOVY AND SHE COULDN'T TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM. I ASKED FOR HER SUPERVISOR, WHICH WAS SAYE. SHE STATED THAT I WILL BE RECEIVING A CALL FROM A JAMES GABLE WITHIN TWO DAYS. WELL, I NEVER HEARD FROM JAMES GABLE.
AT THIS POINT I AM NOT WORKING TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM. THIS COMPANY CANNOT GET IT TOGETHER.
ON MARCH 12, 2024, I RECEIVED TWO EMAILS FROM STERICYCLE. ONE AT 2:50 PM AND ANOTHER ONE AT 2:56 PM STATING THAT MY REQUEST HAS BEEN COMPLETED.
ON MARCH 21, 2024, I RECEIVED A CALL FROM RIKKI TALKING ABOUT A BALANCE ON MY ACCOUNT. I TOLD HIM THAT I CANCELLED BACK IN JANUARY AND I KEEP GETTING HARRASSING EMAILS AND PHONE CALLS ON ACCOUNTS THAT I CANCELLED.
DUE TO THE LACK OF COMPLIANCE FROM THIS COMPANY, I DECIDED TO GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY THAT IS CHEAPER THAN STERICYCLE FOR BOTH MEDICAL WASTE REMOVAL AND PAPER SHREDDING.

The joke in our company: How many trips does it take a Stericycle employee to pick up one container?

In March of 2023 I requested service. No response for months, so we bought a shredder for $60, and changed our request to end service and pick up their container. They came in July to take the papers, not the container.
After repeated requests to pick up the container, they came 3 more times to pick up the documents. Finally in December they picked up the container and charged us for 4 visits. I paid for one visit and have had numerous calls and email exchanges but no one listens.
Now they are send me to collections.
Stay away from Stericycle, they're horrible

I used the shredding service. I received the bill and it stated I was over due and they double charged me. I never received the first bill. Then I looked in our bank account they took out double the amount. They stated it will take 1-2 billing cycles before I get my money back. I suggest not doing business with them. I contacted them 01/05/2024 and it's been 2 billing cycles.
Issues closing account
I have been trying for over 30 days to close my account with them. They make it next to impossible. Everytime I call, I'm told that the account closure is still in progress and they cannot get ahold of the account representative. I've continued to receive invoices for services not provided.
Catfish pros!
I verbally and in writing requested an onsite shred truck up to 200 boxes for 2 locations within 3 miles of each other. I was very clear on what I needed, where and when. ONSITE SHRED TRUCK - said it several times. They sent me one man and a box truck to load and shred OFFSITE. The best part...a month later I get a bill for over $4000 billing me for 180 boxes which there is no possible way he picked up 180 boxes from 1 site AND $600 in gas/mileage. There was some other misc. charges that I was charged for that was not even explained or had knowledge of ahead of time. I have 32 locations in NC and we are in 5 other states. They just lost a lot of future business.

If I could give a 0 stars, I would. I set up an account in September and I have never received containers, nor have they picked up anything. I called about it last month and asked to cancel which I have an emailing stating completed but long and behold, I receive a new bill for November. Now I am not sure what I am supposed to be paying for as I have not received anything from them at all.
This is theft by deception as no services are being given but billing for it. It absolutely unacceptable
