The booking process was user friendly…
The booking process was user friendly and relatively simple to do. I did, however, realise after I had booked that there was a possibility that, coming from London, we may not make the early ferry in time. The rebooking was handled professionally and efficiently and I was impressed with this excellent service. Thank you.

Booking is easy on Steam Packets…Easy booking experience but inconvenient.
Booking is easy on Steam Packets website, very straight forward. my problem with Steam Packet is sailings to races in IOM are nearly always through Belfast and now worse for southern travellers we have to go to and back through Larne and always at night.. Hopefully next year we will have more sailings into Dublin.

Absolutely terrible service
Absolutely terrible service and communication. My sailing was cancelled at very short notice with no proper support or alternative options offered – the only replacement was two days later, making my short family holiday completely pointless. Staff were unhelpful and even suggested I just turn up at the port and wait around hoping to get on a ferry, which was distressing and completely unacceptable. It has ruined what was meant to be a special trip, caused enormous stress and financial loss, and I would strongly advise anyone to think very carefully before booking with this company.

Update: I have now received a response from the company saying they are sorry and asking me to email their reservations team to discuss things further. However, they still have not offered any practical help, compensation, or a solution to the issues I raised. This feels like an empty gesture – they are only saying this publicly now but have not changed their stance or offered any actual support at all.

Update: Their response offers no real help or solution. It is just an empty reply – they still refuse to address the loss, stress and poor service I experienced.

I think if you have booked before you…
I think if you have booked before you know the twists and turns and small active boxes that you need to fill before you move on. Even so as an experienced traveller to the Island I did make some errors along the way and had to check thoroughly the final page before going to payment. So I can give it 4 stars but I expect someone coming across the site for the first time will have some problems navigating the complexity.
