Horrible to need a breakdown service but the service from Start Rescue when needed is excellent and their professionalism and reliability makes the whole thing less stressful

A implementation flat battery outside my home could have been a disaster. Thanks to Start Rescue it was swiftly resolved, it was my first time using the app and I was a little apprehensive, but it all worked fine. I was kept up to date with my request for help and a local mechanic arrived within 20 minutes, fixed the problem and left me a happy customer.

Prompt response from Start Rescue following breakdown. I have been using them for years and no complaints. Reliable company.

App very easy to use, on a very hot busy Bank holiday in the middle of nowhere with an undrivable car we were kept up to date on wait times. Very efficient recovery , kind and friendly.

I'd rung Start Rescue on the Wednesday as I wanted to put my van onto my account but the lines were busy. I ended up sorting it online. Cue Thursday and I broke down in my car 80 miles from home. Whilst I was pondering my choices the phone rang. It was Start Rescue " you rang us yesterday but we were unable to take your call so I'm.calling you back now. Sorry for the delay. Is everything ok?"
" Wow. Divine timing" says I and explained I had broken down. The chap was very helpful and put me through to the rescue department where I spoke to a lovely, helpful lady. Within 45 minutes I was on a flatbed and the driver explained he was taking me to another service station to a smaller truck to take me to my local garage. He said there could be a wait.
Smaller truck was waiting for us, (no waiting time for me) My car was offloaded and reloaded to the smaller truck and we were off.
Lovely, chatty and helpful drivers.
The whole experience went so smoothly it was almost like it was orchestrated from above.
Turned a traumatic and frightening event (lone female traveller) into something quite pleasant and reassuring

Very prompt service. The mechanic was here within 10 minutes and sorted the breakdown issue out completely.

Broke down on a Bank Holiday Sunday. Contacted Start at 8am and had a breakdown recovery van by 9.30am. I was on the road again in 10mins. Fantastic service. I used to use the RAC before, and I waited over 5 hours for a van to turn up.

We've been woth Start Rescue for about 15 years now. I have never been let down.
On this occasion, I was stuck on the top floor of a multi storey at a hospital, with my 93 Mum. Your associate was with us within 40 mins. Your agents called us twice in thst time, to ensure we were OK.
The lovely man fro Owl was so kind and helpful. We were on our way home in less than two hours from leaving the hospital.

Really impressed with service provided by start rescue. I unfortunately have had to get help 3 times in the last couple of months. I do however have to say that the 3rd rescue responder put the previous 2 to shame ! All 3 incidents were dealt with by tears of Sutton Bridge. The ist did not have adequate kit to test alternator etc and merely got me started and recommended me to go to Halfords to check battery and alternator? Having replaced both a year ago I returned to garage who did initial work who assured me that both were working fine? 2nd time I again was started with jump leads and told to stop using start/stop function which was draining battery? 3rd time Naz actually had proper equipment to test both battery and alternator etc he advised me that I have an electrical issue and need to get a diagnosis to determine cause of battery drainage? He also gave me a couple of tips of how to help in the future. 3rd time lucky! Well done Naz

Like an idiot I misfuelled my vehicle . In my panic I rang Start Rescue basically for advice. Emily answered and although at the beginning of her career co ordinated my recovery in less than an hour. The morning after a fuel specialist was sent to my home to drain the tank and put enough diesel and additive to get to a filling station.
Absolutely blown away by the service I received.

Great staff, great service, they keep you updated throughout, you couldn't get a better reliable service anywhere else, and as a single woman this is very important, to feel safe.

Used app for assistance, recovery attended quickly, knowledgeable technician unfortunately not able to repair but my car was recovered to my local garage all within 2 hours

Have used in the past and had a great option for motorbikes as had the pay for the call-out about £30 option and then if I break down I paid for the recovery of about £60 I think it was which was great but after trying to renew that option is no longer available and the basic cover is four times the price and the sucker punch they won’t even cover in Europe . Shocking very poor company progress the last few years.
