I had my first dealings with Skirting4U a couple of weeks ago and was bowled over by their service, especially when things went wrong. They say the best way to see how good a business is, is to monitor how it reacts to a problem; something they dealt with quickly and effectively.

I placed an order online for some skirting to finish our new Kitchen / Diner. The website was clear and easy to use, and after completing the checkout I was kept up to date with the order status, getting emails to tell me the skirting had been cut, rebated, primed and shipped.

The challenge I refer to was with their courier, Tuffnells. I've only had dealings with them once before and found them to be useless, so I was surprised that Skirting4U had selected them as their courier of choice. After waiting in all day for our delivery on the receipt day specified, nothing arrived and at no less than 1-minute before the end of the delivery period, the items were marked as delivered by the driver even though he had not visited us. When I called Tuffnells they were closed. I called them the next day and they wouldn’t answer, so after 3 attempts I called and spoke with Alice at Skirting4U. She took the issue seriously and not only reimbursed me for carriage, but monitored the delivery on my behalf. After Tuffnells gave her no further information (and the goods were not delivered the next working day either after another long day sat at home), she then arranged for a replacement order to be fabricated, which they then shipped themselves via one of their team. The original order has still never arrived, so there's probably a Tuffnells driver out there somewhere with some really nice skirting boards in his house.

In all seriousness though, the professionalism and service shown by Alice and the Team goes to show their commitment to looking after their customers and I am very grateful that they helped me in the way that they did.

All in all a very good company, a great product, easy to order, easy to contact and pleasant to deal with. My order may have been relatively small compared to the ones I expect they deal with regularly, but taking the time to look after a small order means that the broader market – such as the Trust Pilot community – learns about their excellent service from a very happy chappy. I will be back to order more skirting when we start the next stage of our home renovation project. Thank you.

I have been really pleased with the product, the service received, and the order and delivery process.
With my most recent order there was a mistake, and the wrong sized skirting had been delivered. Never mind, people make mistakes, it's how they are dealt with that matters. I rang Skirting4U up the next morning to let them know, and they rushed through my correct order that day, getting it cut, profiled, primed, and on the truck that day ready for next day delivery the day after, at their own cost, so I could proceed with my fitting on the day I needed to. I was really impressed, and I will be sure to use them for all future skirting and architrave needs, and will recommend to others. Thanks!

Fantastic service from start to finish. Ordered samples that came straight away then ordered the skirting which was a dream to do on the website followed by regular updates and delivered by their own driver. The skirting is perfect so all in all a brilliant experience
