Terrible. The interface is horrible. Can't find movies that I know are playing. Takes two people 20 minutes to get Joe Bob to start playing then keeps autoplaying movies you don't want to see. Ove... See more

The movie collection is terrible. B movies everywhere. 70s films you could care less about. Independent projects that should have been stopped before they reached post-production. Pure drek. There are... See more

Horrible selection of movies. I love campy movies myself but these are just awful. Tried getting a subscription a few years ago as well to see what the hype was, but it was terrible even then. I've al... See more

I was super excited when I saw that Tales from the Crypt had been added and signed up for a free trial that I ended up canceling a few days later. I was able to watch one episode of it without issue.... See more

Also had notifications that money had…

Also had notifications that money had been taken out, but not reflecting in my account. Called CBA and they said they're declining everyone's to be safe so that's why it doesn't show. Had to cancel my card and get a new one. It will be someone or some people using shudder to see if the cards work before moving on to other things they can use it on

Cancelled but still being charged

Cancelled my subscription in Feb 2021 but continued to be charged every month. They purposefully don't send you email confirmation of your cancellation despite their website clearly showing you have no access to the service. Customer service representatives are unhelpful liars. Furthermore, the selection of content is abyssmal. Never give your card details to this company.

Have received about 4-5 notifications…

Have received about 4-5 notifications on my CBA app in the last 2 weeks or so saying I have spent about $8.13 at Shudder, but have never even heard of them before. Check my account and nothing is deducted but these notifications concern me. Today is the first time I got a screen shot of it.

another victim of this Shudder…

I am another victim of this Shudder Scam. My CBA was charged $8.13 without my consent of knowledge.

"SHUDDER-855-744-1217 NEW YORK CITY NY USA"

Tried reaching out to Shudder customer team and they responded to take it up with my bank account.
There is a pattern, most of us have had a CBA account, and this has scam has happened just within a space of 2 weeks.
Did anyone get your money refunded?
do you think there could be a security breach with CBA?

Unauthorised Charges

Similar to other recent posts below, I have had an unauthorized charge on my Australian account.

I assume that an attacker has worked out that Shudder's payment processing gateway accepts multiple, unrestricted attempts at entering credit card numbers, and they are using it to brute force numbers until they find one that works.A small amount like this may not get noticed by many people.

Once they have a list of accounts that could be successfully used, they can make a bigger transaction successfully elsewhere.

One star for Shudder - you need to start monitoring access/payment attempts on your payment gateway and throttle multiple/sequential attempts and any other malicious/suspicious activity.

Unauthorised Shudder payment

I had an unauthorised amount of $8.16 taken from my Commonwealth Bank on account 7th August 2021 and I have never even heard of this company I had to look it up and I have never signed up to it. I will be informing the bank to stop this transaction. How is it all CBA accounts.

Shudder isn't responsible for those unauthorised charges

Like a lot of you, I have also had an unauthorised charge to Shudder on my Commonwealth Bank debit card for $8.14 last week. There appears to be a LOT of us in this boat. I'm also frustrated, but it's not Shudder's fault - they are a legitimate streaming company owned by AMC. Shudder isn't to blame for this. It's no different to someone using a stolen credit card at a physical store - it's not the store's fault, it's the person who stole it.

My 5-star rating is based on the communication I have had with Shudder over this. They responded quickly, and were able to cancel the account that had used my details. Please contact Shudder and let them know, and then cancel your card through your bank.

Elaborate scammers…

I have an unathorised payment on my account to these people who I do not know and never subscribed to so I 100% believe them to be elaborate scammers. I am in Australia and was billed last Friday.

Unauthorised transaction like others!

I too have just had an unauthorised transaction from ‘Shudder’ attempted from my NatWest bank account (UK). It was for £0.00 (a test transaction) and made at 9am this morning 8th August, UK time. Luckily my bank spotted unusual activity and blocked my debit card. What is going on? I have never visited Shudder before.
