Terrible. The interface is horrible. Can't find movies that I know are playing. Takes two people 20 minutes to get Joe Bob to start playing then keeps autoplaying movies you don't want to see. Ove... See more

The movie collection is terrible. B movies everywhere. 70s films you could care less about. Independent projects that should have been stopped before they reached post-production. Pure drek. There are... See more

Horrible selection of movies. I love campy movies myself but these are just awful. Tried getting a subscription a few years ago as well to see what the hype was, but it was terrible even then. I've al... See more

I was super excited when I saw that Tales from the Crypt had been added and signed up for a free trial that I ended up canceling a few days later. I was able to watch one episode of it without issue.... See more

I was also charged from my CBA debit card $8.12 on 7th Aug as well. It seems to be primarily CBA customers

Unauthorised transaction

My CBA debit card was also charged $8.16. I called shudder, and they said that someone had subscribed with my debit card using an email address I never had. They removed the account and told me to contact my bank to reissue my cards and file a dispute.

I was also charged $8.16 today

I was also charged $8.16 in the last hour. This was an unauthorized charge. I never heard of Shudder until today. I am in Australia and Shudder is New York based. Looking at other recent reviews here, other Australians are experiencing unauthorized charges from Shudder. Very dodgy. I now have to chase up my credit card provider.

Fraud

The same as the others I just got billed for a service that I did not ask for or use.

Me too

I had the same experience as others on this site, an unauthorized charge by Shudder, which I'd never heard of, charged to my bank card in Australia. I called Shudder in New York and the guy I spoke with was quite helpful and cancelled the account, and I also spoke with my bank and ordered a new card. It's a complete pain in the ass, of course, having to set up new direct debits, but my sense is that criminals are somehow using Shudder as a front for their fraud network, and it's not necessarily the company's fault, though perhaps their security systems need tightening. I don't understand how it works, but it's definitely unpleasant.

Fraudulent charge

Shudder is either a fraud, or else it's being used as a test pilot by credit card thieves. If it's the latter, they need to implement better security...or maybe I need to start billing them for the time I have to spend fixing the results of THEIR lax security.

Last week I was charged $5.99 by "SHUDDER NY". Never having heard of "Shudder", I had to look it up: it was completely unknown to me and my family, which meant that my card had been compromised. This was most likely a test charge to see if the card was viable, before the thieves hit it with really big charges. I had to spend my own time canceling my card, getting a new one, and changing the number on some online accounts.

I sent a support ticket to "Shudder", and they basically said, "Sorry, take it up with your bank." If you're hit with a fraudulent charge, please send in a ticket anyway: maybe they'll take notice when they start seeing enough of these.

FRAUD

FRAUD. Never heard of Shudder but somehow charged a subscription fee. Bank alert received showed the charges were linked to a Toll Free number in USA that is linked to Shudder website. Bank investigating
