Use another delivery company if its important to you

late delivery, failed to attempt delivery yesterday, no reason given, I phoned to ask if I could collect from the local depot and after 40mins on hold was told by the guy "failed to attempt delivery" and would come out today. This is what the email said, no times or anything. It was for a wedding today!!!!!!!! I asked if he could check to make sure it had not gone out and he said no, as I would just get it myself. I asked if I could have a number to call the local depot, he said no. What is the point of waiting and wasting 40 minutes on hold for zero help. What is the point of parcel tracking, what is the point of 48hr delivery 5 days later!!!!

Royal fail

Royal fail!

Sending notifications of attempted delivery when they haven't done so.

Therefore my 48 delivery won't happen, and they cover their failures up with lies and have no accessible means of complaining about this.

It's fraud, taking money for a service then covering up not providing that service with lies. Liars, fraudsters and inadequate.

Royal Mail manages to sink to a new low…

Royal Mail manages to sink to a new low every single day. I paid extra for their Tracked 48 service, and here we are on day 3 with the parcel still completely missing in action. What exactly am I paying for? Clearly not speed, and definitely not efficiency. Their tracking is completely useless, and their service is declining at an impressive rate. Absolute shambles of a company.

Their Postal Tracking system is broken

Their Postal Tracking system is complete waste of data space on my phone. For the last 3 days it has informed me that my delivery will be on the 16th July between 10.50 am and 1.50pm, no updates just the same message, its in Transit.
I have been relying on receiving this item and been badly let down.
When I buy something on line in future, I will check if Royal Mail is the courier before buying in future.

Royal mail such a careless

Royal mail such a fraud.
A few days ago, I ordered something from a website and they dispatched through Royal Mail. And expected date of delivery I was at home, when Royal Mail updated they delivered my parcel. But I didn't received anything not even my neighbors. They even didn't provide any proof of delivery photos in their website. They delivered our parcel a few times in wrong address. I asked another address they also told they didn't received our parcel. Please seller don't delivery anything through Royal Mail. I don't think I will get refund. But the seller website is good and trust able.

Royal Mail's insurance is a farce.

I returned an unwanted item to a company in the north of England and packaged it as received from the company. I then got an email from the company saying they could not refund since the item arrived damaged - they included photographs of the damaged item. I was told by my local post office that the tracked 48 service I used provided insurance up to £75. Filling in the claim form I saw that I was required to send the damaged item and its packaging to Royal Mail. I called and pointed out that I couldn't do that since it was with the original supplier but I could provide photographs of the damage but the supplier's warehouse people had disposed of the packaging. Despite several phone and email discussions with Royal Mail they refused to budge saying "It is our policy not to refund unless we get all the packaging and the damaged item". Since many claims must be like mine i.e. items which have been returned to a supplier and which are reported damaged by the supplier then it makes a nonesense of Royal Mail's so-called insurance. I will look for alternative return routes in the future.

One of the worst delivery experiences I…

One of the worst delivery experiences I have ever had.

I paid for Royal Mail’s Next Day Delivery service with a signature required, trusting that the parcel would arrive promptly and securely. The item was sent on 8th July and, unbelievably, it is now 17th July and it still hasn’t arrived.

The tracking information is virtually useless, repeatedly stating that the parcel is “in transit” with no meaningful updates, explanation, or estimated delivery date. For a service that is marketed and charged as next day delivery, this level of delay is completely unacceptable.

What am I actually paying for? There is nothing “next day” about waiting more than nine days for a parcel with no sign of when it will arrive. The lack of communication and accountability from Royal Mail has been just as disappointing as the delay itself.

Had this been a standard delivery service, the situation would still be poor. For a premium, time-sensitive, signed-for service, it is frankly ridiculous. Customers pay extra because they need reliability and peace of mind. Royal Mail has provided neither.

I will be seeking compensation for this failed service and will think very carefully before using Royal Mail again. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend their Next Day Delivery service to anyone.

I booked a collection for an item sold…

I booked a collection for an item sold on eBay at extra cost. The collection never happened, and the online portal states the collection was attempted at 0247pm. Liars; both the front and rear doorbell cams show no Royal Mail employees atempting to any collections at that time. Royal Mail has really gone down the pan since being bought out, a complete and utter shambles, and lying to boot. I did try to reclaim the small fee but was told to sod off. There you go, even Evri is better than this shower of incompetent fools.

Can't we mark zero stars?

Can't we mark zero stars? . Total rubbish service no wonder Evri is prefered choice - I arranged to return a parcel, it took me 5 times to rebook collection as they never turned up I even called in person to be assured they would come next day. I had booked a week off work so ensured id be home, whole time was wasted staying home instead of enjoying time off work. In the end I gave up and took to the local Evri office. Today i recieved a letter apologising, and get this they said they'd informed their parcel collect to be more careful in the future. Best laugh Ive had all day. Basically nothing will change. Ive wasted a weeks holiday being stuck at home , I'm fuming and will NEVER EVER use royal mail parcel collect again!

Brilliant!

I am very satisfied with Royal Mail’s services, both for receiving and sending parcels. Although the service can be expensive, I still prefer to send and receive my parcels with Royal Mail because I feel there is a greater level of security and reliability. However, I do not agree with the current process for collecting a parcel, where you need to bring ID and also fill in a paper form. I believe this creates unnecessary paperwork and costs for Royal Mail, while also increasing waiting times and queues for customers. This has been one of the few negative aspects of my experience. I think it would be much simpler and more efficient if a QR code were generated for parcel collection, which could simply be scanned at the counter. Apart from this, I am very happy with the service. Thank you for your reliable service. Thanks!🤝🥂

A RIGHT ROYAL MESS

A well deserved Trustpilot score for a shockingly bad service. As I have to award one star, let it be for my lovely posties who are in no way responsible for the shambles that is Royal Mail. Two bad experiences of late but no more.
A Birthday parcel sent by 48 hours tracked from Shadwell Post Office on 10th July Fast forward to 16th July, my daughter’s Birthday and it can be tracked to Shadwell Post Office. Not even collected after 6 days. After a number of failed attempts to speak to someone on the number provided, I got through to an agent who told me that the 48 hours is an aim and will not be addressed for 10 days until 21st July (I make that 11) So not 48 hours but 240 hours. Apparently it’s fine and in the small print.
She recently had her Father’s Day card to her Dad confiscated and a fine issued a week later as there wasn’t a barcode on the stamp. Thousands of stamps were cancelled for our own good obviously and Royal Mail saw huge increases in income from the stamps that most people wrote off rather than fill in forms to exchange them. Not to mention the vast amount of revenue from fines for each one unknowingly sent.
Hundreds of Thousands of pounds for the shareholders. All seems very unfair to me and so I have made the decision to not use them any more. Royal, my foot! 🤣
