I have been speaking to Wil and Victoria from Root Cause Clinical since late 2024 and after a detailed series of assessments and tests they have put in place a treatment plan for my hair loss. Almost 4 months in and I am delighted to report that the dramatic shedding has stopped. My hairdresser can see new growth so we are waiting to see if this thickens my hair.

The service I have received from Wil and Victoria, and Belinda when I went for a scalp scan, has been excellent. They take time to listen to you, explore all options and take into consideration other health issues, so I have always felt heard.

After having suffered from gradual hair loss for more than a decade, and finding medical professionals being dismissive about the issue, I felt quite defeated about finding any solutions to my problem and lost about what to do next.
Finding a suitable Trichologist in London seemed an overwhelming (and expensive) path for potentially no improvement. However, after meeting Stephen (based in Saffron Walden, Essex), who was incredibly approachable and empathic speaking about hair loss, I decided to book an in-depth consultation and found it to be a bit of a revelation.

We completed an in-depth questionnaire about my current hair health, care routine and any treatments attempted previously. Stephen then looked at my scalp under a camera, which was very educational to see the issue in magnified detail and then walked me through potential next steps for a treatment plan.
It’s clear that knowledge about female hair loss and treatment options available have improved a lot in the last 10 years as there are now a variety of options to pursue (depending on the underlying cause), which at least offer the chance of improvement and I had no idea existed.
Stephen was incredibly patient and knowledgeable throughout the process, and sympathetic to how emotional an issue hair loss can be.
I am still at the start of my Trichology journey, but the whole process has offered me hope and finding the Root Cause Clinical team has been a huge factor in removing the intimidation factor of going to a Trichologist and making the process easy. Thank you!

I was really nervous about my appointment and apprehensive, as I have tried for two years to get answers to the problems I was experiecing with my scalp. I felt other health professionals did not take the time to listen to my concerns. From the minute I met Wil, he put me at ease. My teenage daughter had been struggling with excessively oily hair and some hair loss for two years. The constant battle to style her hair in a way that concealed the oiliness, along with the exhausting daily wash cycle, was really taking a toll on her. No shampoo seemed to make a difference, and she was starting to lose hope.

Having been concerned about my once thick and full head of hair, becoming thinner all over, I was recommended to go to Wil at Root Cause Clinical by a friend who had similar issues. After completing a thorough and in-depth questionnaire (take the time to do this properly as it is so important for the consultation), I had an appointment to go over these details and for Wil to look microscopically at my hair.
Wil took time to explain everything he was doing, checked back with the details in the questionnaire and fully explained the options open to me. Whilst I am still deciding the best course of action for me, I would highly recommend the clinic. There are many different options available to you and, whilst I only had the initial investigation, I was impressed with how professionally everything was handled, and feel confident that they have helped me find a solution to resolve the issues with my hair.

I went into my appointment feeling really worried and insecure about the recent thinning of my hair. However as soon as I sat down and listened to what Wil had to say my mind was eased right away. It was made very clear from the beginning that Wil was an expert and he addressed all of my concerns in a simple way that made it easy to understand. I was lucky enough to have a online class seminar with Will in my college before Christmas.Will was Amazing and had a vast range of knowledge about scalp disorders,the cause and effects of these and how to treat or advise clients according to their concerns.I feel I gained a better understanding and knowledge of these concerns on order to educate my clients or recommend particular treatment plans.Also an insight into giving a better consultation when treating a client with these concerns.Trichology is a subject I am interested in gaining greater knowledge in and im grateful to Will and Victoria for their time for this introduction to Trichology. I would recommend Wil Fleeson to anyone concerned about hair loss. Wil was patient, empathetic and really listened to my concerns. His knowledge and compassion made me feel like a weight was lifted which after weeks of sleepless nights, overwhelming anxiety and tears has been incredibly welcome!
