Everyone should know this!
The word disgusting does not cut it. We listed our Cornwall property for sale through a local agent. After a long period of time we decided to pull it off for sale and instructed the agent to remove it from advertising, which they advised in writing they deleted all info regarding the listing, yet our property detail on Righmove still remains. This can not be Legal. We wrote to Rightmove yet their response has been 'oh please send us a link to the ad', as if they don't know whats going on! This matter is now a Legal Matter. This is clearly a breach of privacy rights and I will take it to the top. Unfortunatley for Rightmove they have picked on the wrong chick. I demand my rights to privacy with no explanation required. BE VERY AWARE, RIGHTMOVE WILL USE YOUR INFORMATION, PHOTOS, PROPERTY DATA for their own benefit, regardless of the law.

Had an issue with a listing but after emailing & raising a complaint Katy was an absolute star, she took note of what I was saying, understood my concerns ..we worked together to find a suitable outcome that I was happy with.

Look for alternative search engines for renting
If anyone is looking to rent a property especially in the South Manchester/ Stockport Sk area
I urge you please look at other agencies rather than Rightmove
Every property I have looked then contacted the letting agent through Rightmoves link ,the agent informed me its gone, The property can still be showing up to a week later on Rightmoves website
One agent tells me its out of their control ,Rightmove removes them when they chose to, its a poorly run organisation,

Rightmove are not responsible for removing listings once they are let, or for updating them to "Let Agreed" status - this is something that should be done by the Estate Agent advertising the property.
I am sorry you have had instances where this has not been done, I appreciate how disappointing it is to see a property you have interest in, only to discover it is no longer available.

Sold price data is wrong
Sold price data is wrong. A property I sold 11 months ago which did have correct sq m always historically was changed at point of sale, for unknown reasons as EPC was correct and all previous data. No alterations. They have increased the sq m squewing the local index house prices. Rightmove refuse to change it even with repeated emails. I also checked the house next door & that's also been increased. Not sure where there 'trusted data' is coming from, but they should not trust it....and neither should buyers, sellers, estate agents or anyone looking for price comparisons of houses in the UK!!
Update - I've already had numerous rails with talktous and they have refuse to correct the data & just say that it comes from a 'trusted source' which makes zero sense as it was always correct until recently.

Trust and expertise? Don't think so.
My issue is in regard to the website ,specifically house prices and local info section. The information provided for my house suggests its value in is the low £170,000s despite a home report stating house is worth in excess of £285.00. This is the price set by a qualified surveyor , not me! Their website is , therefore misleading and could potentially dissuade buyers who don't realise this. Despite contacting Rightmove on 2 occasions they refuse to correct the info as it hasn't come from them. Not sure how they can claim to be the best place for information when it is so clearly not.

The estimates we show are based on information available on the property when it was last sold or marketed on Rightmove. As such, changes that may have been made after this cannot be accounted for, unlike a surveyor doing a new valuation.

CONSUMER & PRIVACY WARNING – Rightmove refuses to remove unauthorised property images
I am warning anyone concerned about privacy, image rights, and lawful advertising — Rightmove refuses to remove photographs of your home even after you withdraw consent in writing, if you were not the person who created the listing.
In my case, photographs of the inside of my private home — showing my possessions — were uploaded by an estate agent without my permission. I notified Rightmove in writing, clearly stating that I did not consent to the continued use of my images and that the content breached my rights under the UK GDPR (UK Data Protection Act 2018) and potentially copyright law.
Their response? They refused to act, claiming they are “just an advertising website” and cannot remove content unless instructed by the estate agent — even when notified that the agent’s use is unauthorised and potentially unlawful.
This approach not only ignores an individual’s rights over their own images, it also risks breaching the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 (in force from April 2025), which require full and accurate material information in property advertising and prohibit misleading or unlawful practices.
The implication is clear:
✅ Your home could be photographed and listed without your permission.
✅ If you demand removal, Rightmove will ignore you unless the agent agrees.
✅ Even if that content breaches data protection law, they will leave it online.
This is not responsible practice from one of the UK’s largest property platforms. If you value your privacy, ownership of your images, and truthful advertising, be extremely cautious. Once your images are online with Rightmove, you may have no control over their use.
