Thank You Ellie!
I was so nervous about joining the gym. However, Ellie is the reason that I’m comfortable being there. She has built up my confidence no end and I’m so grateful to how she has changed my life. I’ll never be able to thank her enough.
The gym itself is great. Lots of machines and everyone is super friendly. It’s also super clean. A great gym if you’re local to the area. Can’t fault it!

Adequate gym
Adequate gym, limited equipment and machines. OK for a standard gym, but could have a better range of equipment.

Great gym
Great gym, facilities are just what I need, and during the day, I never have to wait for any equipment. Lovely helpful staff. I have been having sessions with Anya Forrester for a few months and I can’t recommend her enough, our sessions are tough and she pushes me but she makes them fun and enjoyable, her knowledge is awesome, always happy to answer any question and offer advice.

Clean, accessible, equipment frequently out of use by ‘phone users. Poor changing/shower facilities.
Easy and good parking. Reasonable cost.

Lovely atmosphere, always feel safer, fire doors are obviously sign posted and aed is easy to see :).

Great friendly instructors
Great instructors, very friendly and welcoming. Good variety of classes available. Nice environment in general. Studio area needs to be cleaned more regularly. Sometimes no hot water in showers.

Group PT with Ellie is a must!
I’ve been a member at Saffron Walden Puregym since it first opened and I would always recommend this gym. However, my 5 star rating today is due to the new addition of Ellie’s group PT sessions. Ellie creates a fun and encouraging atmosphere. It’s a great way to stay accountable and push yourself with a professional guiding you. Since joining them weekly I’ve smashed some of my PB’s, done things I didn’t think I could do while having a laugh with like minded people. Really happy with this new addition to Saffron Walden’s Puregym.

Really poorly equipped
Really poorly equipped and has the inferior Precor equipment while the better PureGyms have Matrix kit. Luckily it was really empty but I cannot imagine how dreadful it would be when busy.

Puregym saffron walden
I've been going to the saffron walden puregym just over a year now and i'm glad I joined this gym.The staff are friendly and the gym has all the equipment you would ever need.Availability of equipment is also very good.There is classes avaliable with your membership but I've never personally used them but it's nice to know it's there should I want to go to one.The 24hr access is brilliant too as sometimes I can't make it until late.I just wish I joined sooner.

The gym is ok nothing special
The gym is ok nothing special. To make it better they could have some 50kg dumbbells and some plate loaded upper body machines. It is a pure gym local so they are not going to make those adjustments. They use precor instead of matrix which is good. If it was matrix then I would give it 0/5.
