I've really enjoyed my experience at PureGym UK in New Barnet. The gym is clean, spacious, and has plenty of well-maintained equipment. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, which I love. They offer a great stretch class, and I only wish they had more classes like it. There are plenty of free classes to join, and personal trainers are available if you're willing to pay extra. One of the best things is the flexibility - you can cancel or freeze your membership any time with no contract commitment. The only downside is that the instructions for parking and finding the entrance could be clearer. Overall, it's a great place to work out.

I bought the £9.99 day pass for New Barnet gym, but no code was sent to my email (receipt was sent though, also checked my spam and nothing there). I tried to find an email or phone number for any customer service but was unable to. I went to the gym incase to try to find some staff, my boyfriend (who is a member) went in and spent time looking for someone, as I thought I could show the receipt and maybe get in, but there was nobody around. I also rang the assistance button multiple times outside the gym entrance pods without any luck. After waiting for 20 mins I gave up and went home, without even being able to go to they gym. If anyone from puregym reads this please can you help, as id like to get a refund (I know you can’t for day passes however I didn’t even get a chance to use it!) but haven’t been able to find any way to talk to someone. I have also dm’d New Barnet’s pure gym account on Instagram with no luck. I’m sure I would’ve had a great time if I went! Just want my tenner back x

No Air-conditioning
Dear Puregym
I am writing to inform you that after my gym session today my underpants are anything but pure.
I have just finished a typically gruelling session in my local PureGym, inside which, despite mild temperatures outside, felt like a sweltering sauna. The humid air was virtually unbreathable and seemingly had no escape, brazenly using my underpants like its own personal sink.
The inexplicably bizarre lack of air-conditioning not only stifled my usual performance into a crushing fatigue, but more importantly left my underpants stuck to my bumcrack with more adhesion than the chewing gum I picked up on the sole of my shoe from one of the treadmills. Better sort out those treadmills and the chavs that chew gum while using them.
Let me be clear. My bumhole and crack are absolutely no-go areas for PureGym, and the imposition of an unwanted lather of sweat saturating my pants is tantamount to inappropriate contact at best and outright aggravated assault at worst. I do not need beads of sweat rappelling into the abyss of my bumcrack like an invasion of illegal immigrants, only to permeate through the individual bum hairs that filter out my daily contingent of faecal matter. In lieu of the decorative changes being made to the gym’s interior, PureGym is more than welcome to this faecal overspill, but you do not have the right to acquire it in a hostile takeover caused by excessive heat. I will happily slap it onto the newly painted walls with my hands if they are not themselves too wet with sweat.
Thus, in the interest of limiting the involvement of my bumhole, crack and rectal contents, I would respectfully ask you to ensure that the air-conditioning within the gym is working efficiently and at sufficiently low enough temperatures that I can easily peel my underpants from my bum cheeks without leaving an itchy rash.
If this requested change does not occur, then in the absence of air-conditioning I will simply attend my gym sessions with an absence of my underpants, allowing what limited air there is to gratefully waft through my bum, scooping up whatever particles of matter manage to adhere to it. My perky brown anus will, of course, be visible to other patrons, who may or may not be offended by the sheer pungency in the aftermath of the curry I ate the night before. I cannot guarantee that I will not contribute to the thickness and piquancy of the acrid humidity with my own rectal emanations.
If such a scenario does not meet with your preferences than please ensure the air-conditioning is operational without delay.
Thank you kindly for your help in this matter.

It can be hit or miss with these gyms.
I rejoined Pure New Barnet after a 4 year gap (covid and work). The gym was really good back them. But now it is thr most gheto gym I have ever seen.
Lockers are all broken into, locker room is void of all the vanity stations that were once there. Benches are missing. The lockers are just a big open room with smashed up lockers and a smell of urin. What on earth happened.
No equipment changes in 4years
Do not buy a memberships before viewing your local branch.
