Absolute waste of money… do not spent your money here!!
Crappy chain gym that closed the toilets and showers for the unforeseeable future the day after the money for February left my account, with absolutely no notice whatsoever…
I joined the gym for convenience to work but can not possibly continue to be a member when there are no toilets or showers.
Their response was “it’s in our terms and conditions…” OR “you can use the Nottingham Gym or the other gym Derby gyms” but will have to pay for parking
The price is also very high for the equipment that you get, my advice would be join a gym with better customer service, functioning showers and TOILETS (especially for the ladies, this is unacceptable)…
Crappy chain gym can get much better facilities elsewhere!

Not a good start I'm afraid
Not a good start I'm afraid.
Just joined the gym membership and went to 1st session on 29th Jan.
My partner used to be a member of pure gym in derby.
The heanor gym is more expensive than the pure gym in derby and we expected it to be as good, if not better for the price.
It seemed small, cramped, busy and with not enough machines or space to stretch and work out.
Ready to give it another go and had class booked for tomorrow 1st Feb.
This was cancelled today. And now a message that the gym is closed with staffing issues and no toilets and showers.
Then this email, asking for a review....bad timing.
Hope it gets better and sorts out it's problems and consider it's price.
Will try out Kingsway or derby while we can and decide the way forward thanks

Awesome gym
Great gym, I've been a member since it first opened, always great sessions had here, only thing I would change is it could really benefit with a water fountain downstairs (small annoyance I know) but apart from that, all good!

Awesome gym
Awesome gym, great staff! Love it there, they’re all so friendly and kind, very inspiring and have helped me loads with my fitness journey! The gym has everything you need to get the results you want! Classes are amazing, the managers are awesome and so so friendly. I fell so welcome at PureGym, everyone’s made me feel welcome. They’ve got a great community and I couldn’t be more happy to be a member at that gym. Nothing bad about the gym at all, it’s doing great and the managers are doing amazing to keep it running 🥰

PureGym Heanor is the best gym
PureGym Heanor is the best gym! Good location and all the equipment you could possibly need. I have never seen such a clean gym either. Most importantly the atmosphere is great because this gym is run by a friendly hard working team. I was nervous about rejoining a gym but no worries there at all. There's a really good mixture of different gym users. Oh and I almost forgot the opening hours are excellent and it's very competitively priced...win, win win!

Left alone to crack on.
Reasonably small gym but squat racks and plenty of bars. Not bothered with nonsense, can just crack on and train. Always clean and serviceable kit. Open 24/7. What more can you ask for.

I really like this gym
I really like this gym. It is a bit on the small side but I like the how clean and tidy the place is. The staff are great and always helpful. All I would change is to put put a bit of classic rock on about 4.30 am till 6.00am each morning. And some ab rollers. Great gym.

More expensive than any other Puregym…
More expensive than any other Puregym in the midlands yet we only have a fraction of the listed services that we pay for
Gym is clean and tidy but boiling hot as we can’t have the air conditioning on to save money and there’s no Wi-Fi despite it being included in the membership

We provide a certain amount of fresh air based on occupancy levels, and our ventilation system increases and decreases at different times throughout the day and night, making sure we meet these requirements and provide good air movement around the gyms. These levels are based upon size of the gym, and occupancy levels, and are regularly monitored. On occasion, we can get faults on our ventilation and AC systems which is normal. When this happens, there is a process in place to ensure we arrange for our contractors to attend, investigate and resolve the faults and return the systems back to full working order within a timely manner.
To connect to the Wi-Fi, select the PureGym Wi-Fi and you will be redirected to a log in page whereby you will just need to enter your email address and PureGym PIN. If there are any issues please speak to a member of staff in the gym.

Decent gym but it’s pricey
Gyms clean and welcoming. Equipment feels minimal. Curl bar for example…only 1, yet it’s increasingly popular. Machines like incline chest press and tricep press, but I understand it’s space dependent. Prices seem steep too, £25.99 for a working class town when puregym in central London are £27.99, seems like more than property rent inflating this price. I’d expect it to be more competitive when the local leisure centre gym is only £15 a month. Overall it’s a good gym, but could be better.

Just a few things….
Hi,
Been using this gym for a few months and it has fantastic facilities. There are just a few things I’d like to see improved. 1) change all the barbell clips to the plastic brackets. The metal ones get bent out of shape easily quite quickly and scratch the bar. The plastic ones are quicker when loading and cleaner and easier to use 2) a sled for the functional fitness area 3) a bike erg, as the bike we currently have keeps breaking 4) yanga water for the vending machine (yum!)
