I undertook my NEBOSH with Phoenix Health & Safety, and I always knew if I was to undertake my NVQ Level 6 I would do it with them.
Ann Mitchell my assessor was absolutely fantastic, she always responded to my questions on the same day, and with meaningful advice and guidance that helped to keep me on track.
Phoenix Health & Safety are always a company I recommend to others.

Relatively easy to get to grips with. Good communication. Shane Goss made the course very enjoyable and understood all of the questions thrown at him from course members.

Just finished a 9 day NEBOSH course with Shane Goss. He is knowledgeable, non judgmental and just naturally put us all at ease. Great asset to Phoenix! Thanks Shane!

A well organised and thought out course that allows sufficient time for questions, reflection and group work. Excellent trainer Shane was super helpful and made the course user friendly.

Great variation in means of communicating the required information, rather than just reading books and power points.

NEBOSH, Construction certificate. Really enjoyed the 2 weeks with Wayne Haywood, great tutor, great venue, great group.

I recently completed the NEBOSH GNC training with Peter Hannigan. Pete’s industry experience and quick wit made an intensive syllabus feel engaging, relevant and genuinely comprehensible. The Southampton venue was well equipped and provided an excellent learning environment. Overall it was a great training package and I feel prepared with the tools and confidence needed to pass the exam. Cheers Pete!

The face-to-face NEBOSH General Certificate course was very helpful and broke down the content. The course was delivered by Peter Hannigan who really knows the subject and his style of delivery was exceptional. He made a very dry subject enjoyable.
I don't think we could have had anyone better than him. I would attend any course delivered by him and would recommend to anyone.
The hospitality/service delivery from Doubletree was also exceptional.

Working with Ann Mitchell throughout my Level 6 NVQ in Occupational Health and Safety has been an incredibly positive experience. From the very beginning, Ann created an encouraging and supportive environment that made even the toughest parts of the course feel manageable. Her positivity was constant and genuine and it made a huge difference during the moments when the workload felt overwhelming. Ann explains things clearly and gives constructive guidance. I can honestly say that her encouragement kept me pushing forward when I needed it most. Ann is not just a knowledgeable assessor - she cares about progress and wellbeing. I am grateful for her support and anyone who is appointed Ann as an assessor needs not worry.

Signed up for the 4-day Fire Mgt Classroon course, which was cancelled at the lst minute and given the option of an online Teams alternative. Phoenix wouldn't commit to running any classroom based training. Why is a classroom my preferred option; I have profound hearing loss, so rely heavily on lip reading, possible in a classroom, hugely difficult on Teams. Over four-days I managed to pick up on approx' 50% of what was said, fortunetly (or unfortunetly, depending on how you feel about these things) the course was entirely PowerPoint based. So, I picked up on much of what was delivered from the slides, not much from the audio, it remains to be seen whether I pass the course. As an aside, the classroom course is obviously more expensive than the online course, but Phoenix obviously hang on to the differance when they switch your course

So the course isnt the easiest of courses. Requires alot of processing to take all the information in, seeing as there is a lot of it. But the course is brilliant. And what made it was having a brilliant instructor/tutor to take us through it in great depth but allow us to understand every part. Stuart is a fantastic teacher and deserves alot of credit. His way of teaching really allows you to gain all the knowledge, information you need and require to set you in good stead for the exams. Great course, brilliant instructor. Thanks Stuart and Phoenix.

I recently completed my NVQ and overall had a really positive experience with the provider. The course itself was well-structured and straightforward to follow, giving me a clear understanding of what was required at each stage.
What really made the difference for me, though, was my tutor, Rebecca Walsh. Always supportive, approachable, and quick to respond, she made everything feel much less stressful. She explained things clearly, gave helpful feedback, and genuinely seemed to care about helping me succeed.
The provider had good systems in place and kept things organised, but it was the tutor’s encouragement and guidance that kept me motivated and on track throughout.
I’d definitely recommend this NVQ provider to others, especially if you get a tutor like mine!

The is not an easy course to complete and quite difficult if not from a H&S background. However, the trainer Stuart made it an enjoyable and easy to follow course, great method of teaching and explaining complex questions and tasks. Presentable, knowledgeable and approachable, all good traits for a someone teaching students. I would recommend this company to people looking to learn and self develop.
