Reliable App for Currency Exchange and International Transfers
I've been using Pesa for over a year to exchange currencies and send money internationally, particularly to Nigeria. Overall, I've had a very positive experience.
The app is easy to use, offers competitive exchange rates that are often better than many other platforms, and transfers are processed quickly. I also appreciate that there are no hidden charges. Another feature I find very useful is the availability of multiple currency wallets, including GBP, USD, EUR, CAD, and NGN, which makes exchanging between currencies straightforward.
I currently use the app almost every week for currency exchange and international transfers, and it has been reliable.
My only concern is the recent increase in security checks. Having to enter a six-digit OTP every time I log in, followed by facial verification or another verification code each time I send money, can be a little inconvenient. Really slow resolution of issues
Really slow resolution of issues. Everytime I transfer to the Peaa account I have to chat them up before I am credited. Very annoying... been waiting now for more than a day to get credited and no update from customer service.

Warning. They’ve been holding up my transfer for four days now.
The transfer has been in progress for 14 hours. Support cannot provide a timeframe for resolving the issue or the cause. The money is blocked. I do not recommend it. I’m editing this post in light of the reply below. I contacted support at the address provided, and since July 9th, I’ve only been told that my case is being investigated. There are no concrete details or reasons given for the failure to process the transfer. It’s a good thing I didn’t deposit a larger amount. My funds have been blocked for four days now. EDIT I got my money back after 6 days, so I'm adding one star.
