Usman gave me Rag laser surgery today at Bridgewater clinic . It was painless and so easy! So pleased ! Also the receptionists were lovely.

I had LASEK eye surgery on 14 March, and today (11 July) I've officially been discharged. I'm so happy with my vision and the whole experience from start to finish.

The recovery went well, and the aftercare was excellent. Every appointment was thorough, and I always felt supported and reassured throughout the healing process. The team was professional, friendly, and happy to answer any questions I had.

A special thank you to my surgeon and my optometrist, Abha, for their outstanding care and support. They made the entire journey a positive experience.

I would highly recommend laser eye surgery to anyone who is considering it. I'm so impressed with the results, and it's one of the best decisions I've made. Thank you to everyone involved!

I had a great experience with Optical Express from start to finish. The customer service was excellent, and everyone was friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the process. A special thank you to my patient advisor, Millie, who was incredibly supportive and made everything easy to understand, and to the optician, Nikhil, who was thorough, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions. I really appreciated the care and attention I received and would definitely recommend Optical Express.

I was told I wouldn't need reading glasses if I paid extra for premium lens. 2 weeks after surgery I could tell my eyesight wasn't as good as it was beforehand !. I have since seen several different people ( no consistency of care) 6 months on and still not got eyesight sorted!! .if you're thinking of getting eyesight sorted by them I would think long and hard 1st .Im 8.5 k out of pocket and worse eyesight than I went in with .

I am marking this down purely based on the communication from the main office. I saw an add on facebook which gave me the impression they could potentially remove the need for reading glasses. I got a call from the main office glasgow where a gentleman told be there were 3 option to treat and remove my need for glasses. 2 options we lazer with varying 20/20 success percentages. Option 3 was the surgery, which turns out to be the only option for my condition. No mention of price on the only option surgery. He asked if I would like to book a consultation and I said yes before be mentioned that I would be charged £50 if I didnt cancel 5 days prior consultation. Thinking I had 3 options I was okay with that. The surgery was never an option for me, but lazer was a potential even though it didnt actually exist as an option.

Can you see where this is going.

4 days before the consultation I got a call from the local centre to confirm my attendance and to go over my options.

Surprise surprise… I was told only surgery was an option for my condition. And how much will that cost I asked. £3,700 per eye.. Mouth wide open, tumble weed moment.

Okay okay I said, can I cancel without paying the £50? No sir sorry, you gave your payment details and its less than 5 days notification!! WHAT A SURPRIZE NOT!!! I explained that I had agreed to the consultation under false pretences and therefore in the spirit of fairness from a huge reputable company (??????????…) I should be able to cancel with no charge applied.

Sorry we cant do that. So I have to travel 25 miles into the centre of town, terrible parking options, both of us knowing that I both dont want and also cant afford the surgery even of I wanted to. Thats correct sir..

WOW!! WHAT A LEGALISED SCAM THIS IS,
PERPETRATED BY A SO CALLED REPUTABLE COMPANY.

I went in, and it was very obvious that I was strategically handled to get me onside to probably minimise the fall out from this ridiculous situation.

In many years from now this will probably be another PPI scandal 😂😂😂

I want to say again, the staff at the consultation were absolutely phenomenal and professional from start to finish with the giving honest and professional advice all the way through.

Optical Express main office and the gentleman that called me to hook me in. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES!!!!! HOW MANY VULNERABLE PEOPLE HAVE YOU DONE THIS TOO…

I am no expert, but heres some feedback on criteria for treatment to remove the need for reading glasses in regard to what and what isnt possible / recommended.

According to a friends surgeon in London they won’t operate on ppl over 55 that only need glasses for ready as it won’t help and can actually effect their vision . She went to someone in Glasgow too and they said the same. They have refused to treat her due to this .. but OPTICAL EXPRESS were happily going to take the money.

ALSO: if your vison beyond reading glasses is good, then there is a potential that this can actually weaken your good vision.

BEWARE: OPTICAL EXPRESS WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY REGARDLESS.

OPTICAL EXPRESS WITH TELL YOU THERE ARE 3 OPTIONS for removing the need to use reading glasses. 2 lazer and 1 surgery.

TRUTH: there is only 1 and its surgery which costs minimum £3700 per eye. On the first call they wont tell you that.

I hope that this review will ensure they don’t do it to anyone else again.

I WAS TOTALLY P*SHED OFF AT HAVING TO WASTE MY TIME TODAY KNOWING THERE WAS NO END RESULT. SIMPLY RIDICULOUS!!!

I visited the Cambridge Optical Express today to have a free consultation about laser eye or lens replacement surgery. I wasn't planning on deciding today, but after some truly excellent customer service I was happy with my choosing to have lens replacement surgery.
I had a phone consultation with Elli first then when I got there John took me through all the eye tests, and then Ahmed discussed my options. The whole thing was so thorough, I felt I really understood how my eyes were changing with age and how the different surgeries could benefit me. I felt really at ease with this Cambridge team and trusted their recommendation easily. It's all booked in. Thank you again to Ahmed, John and Elli for their expert guidance and I am so happy I made this choice.

Eye test was quick and staff were friendly and professional.

Accidentally sat on my sunglasses whilst at work. Luckily Lisa managed to do a very good job of reshaping them to a wearable state. I can once again see clearly when I’m up in my truck ! Super helpful and friendly, will be sure to recommend
