Seems to be a useful service

Seems to be a useful service, since Spotify, etc, don't have their own way to integrate lyrics. MM's interfaces are pretty dependable though they have an apparently ongoing issue with submissions not being recognized by their systems as "saved", written them a couple times about this but they seem diligent and interested in fixing it. Stay tuned.

Fix autoscroll while syncing

Main complaint is that everytime while syncing, when you press the arrow and you are half way through the song, on desktop, the whole thing automatically scrolls you to the top, which ultimately slowed down the process of quickly syncing before fine tuning

Good service, poor cancellation experience

I was generally satisfied with the service itself, but my experience changed when I needed to cancel due to a personal situation and reduced income.

The cancellation and auto-renew process was much more difficult to locate and complete than it should be. The instructions in the help section did not match the actual steps, and attempting to turn off auto-renew was effectively impossible despite following those instructions.

The support response also took four days, which added to the frustration.

In the end, the only reliable way to stop the subscription was to delete my account. That should not be necessary for any paid service.

To their credit, a refund was issued once support responded, but the overall experience affected my trust.

Had the cancellation process been clear and straightforward, I likely would have returned as a customer once my situation improved. Instead, the experience created significant frustration and lasting resentment, which is why I will not be returning.

A clear and functional cancellation process is just as important as the service itself, and this is an area that needs improvement.

The fact that the only reliable way to stop the subscription was to delete my account significantly damaged my trust. Policies like this are short-sighted and ultimately cost them a customer who otherwise may have returned

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re glad to hear that you were satisfied with the service itself, but we’re truly sorry that the cancellation process caused frustration during what sounds like a difficult time for you.

Your feedback highlights some important issues, particularly around the clarity of our cancellation and auto-renewal steps, as well as the delay in our support response. While we always aim to reply as quickly as possible, there are times when a high volume of incoming messages can lead to longer response times. That said, we understand how frustrating this can be—especially in situations that require timely assistance—and we are working to improve in this area.

We have also requested your information and look forward to looking into the specifics of what happened in your case, so we can better understand where things went wrong.

We appreciate your acknowledgment of the refund, and we’re sorry that the overall experience left you feeling this way. Your feedback is incredibly valuable and will help us improve.

If you would ever consider giving us another chance in the future, we will be more than happy to provide a smoother experience.

Wishing you all the best moving forward.

Non-existent support - unusable

I liked Musixmatch when it worked but was always a bit sceptical towards the fact they had a monopoly on lyrics distribution to most platforms. Sometimes I had issues but the support quickly resolved my issues. Recently I have had issues with verifying my account, since the useless ai-bot couldn’t help I decided to delete that account and create a new one to link my artist to. When trying to verify my artist on the new account it says the artist was already claimed by another account (my deleted one). Now I can’t get access to my artist profile. Obviously I try to reach out to support via the site as well as through e-mail. Every time I get told I have to pay for a years subscription to receive help by a human. I have new music on the way and really want to be able to add the lyrics to these songs. Right now the only way to do this is paying for premium. Musixmatch pro shouldn’t be allowed to be called a free platform if it’s in this unusable state.

I’m hoping they read this and add back some form of human support.

I always get errors with this platform

I always get errors with this platform, right now I can't distribute my song lyrics because apparently a "matching audio" was not found on Spotify even though the song is clearly live, and I get an error message when I try to connect to my apple account. As if that wasn't enough, when I do manage to distribute lyrics the syncing is off beat on music stores. Can someone please suggest a better lyric distributor!

Hi Tshepo,

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about the issues you’re experiencing.

The error related to “matching audio” not being found can happen if the audio source is missing or not yet properly matched in our catalogue. This is something we can definitely help you resolve. The issue you mentioned with connecting your Apple account may also be related and worth investigating together.

We’ve asked you to share your contact details so we can reach out and look into your specific case. Once we have that, we’ll work with you directly to get everything sorted as quickly as possible.

Musixmatch Pro is a disappointing…

Musixmatch Pro is a disappointing service that forces users to submit personal ID for artist verification, which feels invasive and unnecessary for independent artists without significant returns. Support is equally frustrating: when issues arise—like my synced lyrics not updating on Spotify after three weeks despite a verified profile (blue check confirmed)—the bot loops endlessly and pushes paid upgrades for human help. Spotify blames Musixmatch, but their no-reply emails suggest unverified status despite clear verification, all while upselling subscriptions. Shameful practices from the only lyrics provider for Spotify—stay away.
Update: thank you for reaching out and offering a solution, but it looks like the only way to get in touch with your support team is only upon subscription, which I don't intend to do.
Anyway, the lyrics have been updated in the meantime (still not synced with the music, though).
Update: your support reached out. Hopefully we can sort the problem together. Thank you!

Hi there,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re really sorry to hear about the frustrations you have experienced.

We understand that being asked to submit personal identification can feel invasive. Artist verification has been introduced as a necessary measure to help protect creators’ profiles and ensure that lyrics are managed by the rightful owners, and has allowed us to eliminate all cases of malicious use by scammers and other misguided individuals.

Regarding the issue with your synced lyrics not updating on Spotify despite having a verified profile, that definitely isn’t the experience we want artists to have. In some cases, lyric updates can take time to propagate across platforms, but a delay of several weeks suggests something may need to be reviewed on our side.

We reached out to help get things resolved. Our team will be happy to take a closer look at the situation.

Best regards,
The Musixmatch Team

I originally left a review on January…

I originally left a review on January 14, 2026, and Feb 26, 2026 and unfortunately nothing has changed.

This issue actually goes back to 2024 and its now 2026. My lyrics are still not appearing on Spotify or Apple Music even though they were uploaded through Musixmatch and support has repeatedly told me my catalogue was “reimported” and should be live.

I subscribed to Artist Pro specifically to get proper support and resolve this issue. Musixmatch says responses take up to 3 days, but that has not been my experience. The only time I get a response is when I leave a Trustpilot review, which should not be the only way to get support.

Despite following every instruction given — refreshing lyrics, sending links, and explaining the issue multiple times — my catalogue is still incomplete, duplicated, restricted, or missing.

What makes this worse is that when using LyricFind, my lyrics appear correctly and are fully displayed. Yet they are still missing from Spotify and Apple Music, which makes it feel like Musixmatch has a monopoly over those platforms.

So I have to ask: why am I paying for Artist Pro if I’m not receiving the service I paid for? What exactly am I paying for if the only way to get a follow-up on my ticket is by posting a public complaint?

At this point I want my money back, because I am clearly not receiving the service I paid for.

This whole situation is extremely frustrating and honestly sickening.

Hi George,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We want to clarify that we’ve been in active contact with you throughout this process. Your case involved a restriction on some of your lyrics, which has now been resolved by lifting those restrictions.

We currently have an open email thread with our support team regarding your account. If you are still experiencing missing lyrics on Spotify or Apple Music, please provide additional details in that thread, specifying which songs are still not displaying, so we can investigate and resolve the issue promptly.

We remain committed to ensuring your catalogue is complete and visible, and we appreciate your cooperation in providing the necessary information to fully address the remaining issues.

Horrible service

After almost 2 months, my Spotify artist is still not verified. If I want to talk to customer service, I talk to an AI bot that just lets you go in circles. Want to speak to a human? Pay! Insane for a company that has a monopoly on Spotify lyrics.

Hi Kiano,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience.

For free users, artist verification typically takes up to 30 days. If it has already been close to two months in your case, it’s likely that something went wrong with the request or that additional information may be needed.

We’ve asked via Trustpilot if you could share your contact details with us. If you send them over, we’ll reach out right away so we can review your request and help complete the verification as soon as possible.

If you have a bug you're screwed

You are virtually unreachable. I've wasted at least an hour trying to verify my artist profile. I keeps saying "something went wrong", even after clearing cache and hopping browsers. Your AI is dumb as a rock and keeps thinking and talking in circles.

EDIT: they ask for additional info but I could only input my phone number and not my e-mail. You don't need my phone number. I try mailing but then I get PAYWALLED FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE???? YOUR product is BROKEN, I chose the free plan that YOU OFFER so how are you gonna BULLY me into a subcription if you A. have a monopoly and B. your product MALFUNCTIONS

Hello Hanno,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and we’re sorry for the frustration you experienced while trying to verify your artist profile.

When the message “something went wrong” appears during verification, it can happen for a few different reasons. In some cases it may be due to a temporary system issue, while in others it can occur if something doesn’t match between the artist discography on Spotify and Apple Music, which the verification process relies on.

We’ve sent you a request asking for the email address where we can contact you so our team can investigate your specific case and help get the verification sorted out.

Once we have your contact details, we’ll be happy to look into it and assist you directly. Thank you for your patience while we work to resolve this.

EDIT: We have sent you an email 12 hours ago but haven't received a reply yet, so we answered also to another thread you opened. We asked your Spotify and Apple Music artist profile links. Answering to that email would allow us to look into why you are getting an error and work towards a resolution.

Best Regards,
The Musixmatch Team
