Good experience, but Mighty is the brand for their oldest campers, so expect lots of noise inside when you're driving (we had to yell at the top of our lungs for the kids to hear us), and broken/age... See more

Loved our NZ van trip! The process was so easy getting picked up from the airport and they dropped us back off again afterwards. We loved our Maui camper and would do it again with Mighty.

The documents say your busy time is 9-12am for pick up and 1-4pm for drop off. So why then don’t you roster more staff at those times? It was farcical. We waited nearly two hours to pick up our camper. Only two staff at the front counter. Absolutely useless. You acknowledge this is a problem in writing so this is not the first time you’ve heard about this complaint. We were the lucky ones as there were only four people when we arrived at the pick up location. When we left the queue was out the door with more than a dozen, if not twenty people in line. God only knows how long it took them to get theirs! Coming back was no better at drop off. Long delays. Given we’re paying over $300 per day for the privilege, we’d like to spend our time actually on holiday rather than sitting in queues waiting

Camper van was good and everything worked reasonably well. Our flight was delayed and came into Queenstown a day later. The 24/7 number were hopeless and we got no responses to our emails. We managed to get the van a day later luckily. Drop off service was excellent. The van wasn’t worth the expense, the website should be more clear on self-contained vans as well

Had a blast easy to get around. Second time we have hired a Van. Just think the insurance is over the top.

sewerage smell throughout when driving also grey water not emptied when we picked up

The campervan was generally fine. Plenty of room and a comfortable bed.
However, the included items were minimal; a converter was missing, the 12V plug wasn't working, and the freezer hadn't defrosted, so the refrigerator wasn't cooling properly.
When we returned the campervan undamaged, they charged our credit card AU$5,150. After sending three emails without a response, we forwarded the complaint to other partners and received a reply via Appolo, that the complaint would be forwarded to the appropriate department.
This complain took so long that we had problems at our next stop in New Zealand.

Hi Mighty Campers.
I reviewed the experience not long after the hire was completed.

Very friendly staf during pick up and drop off.
Very accurate help when we had difficulties with our mobil home. Within an hour a mechanic came for help and solved the problem. Later that afternoon someone from thl contacted us to ask if everything was settled, very nice!
Above that all I recieved my iPad (a week after drop off) that I forgot in the dashboard…

We had an absolute blast on our 9 day trip in WA! Our van was great, we didn't have any problems other than the fuel tank and fuel gauge lied to us. Don't trust it! We were told the tank may have not been as full as we thought. We had a 380km trip on night 1 with 490km on the gauge and we ran out of fuel 8km from our destination in the middle of no where. A jerry can would be a great piece of equipment to include with the van hire. Other than that, we had no problems at all. Would definitely book again (but take a jerry can!)

We had a wonderful trip in our camper van. It was very well equipped with everything we needed for our camping trip. Spacious for us all and plenty of room for cooking and storage for our food and clothes.
The only negative was the check in process which took 3 hours which unfortunately had an impact on our first travel day.

Had the bestest experience for me and my whanau. So good I'm doing it again same time same month but in the new year of 2027

Took four hours to collect camper. Camper eventually produced was not one we booked. We booked a four berth and was given a six berth. We were first time campers. This was a very large vehicle for novices. Because it was rushed out, it wasn’t clean enough. Also, the power system and hot water was faulty. Caused us problems all three weeks. Battery on vehicle wouldn’t start vehicle day three. Had to recharge with local help. Gas bottle provided almost empty. This vehicle was rushed out, due to s fault on our original one.

I loved the van and the staff were really helpful.
A bit big brother with the tracking and a bit draconian with your terms, sort of takes the fun out of it. 3 knives forks and spoons (we know its only for 3 people, but we're not kids and how much is cutlery?) and really minimal utensils, no spatula, no small fry pan etc, it's not a cheap price so having it well equipped would have given you 5 stars.

Simple efficient vehicle pick up and drop off. Vehicle was clean and in sound working order.

The trip was amazing and for first time campers the campervan was great
and easy in use! We did have a few issues and waiting times with pick up was very long (def if you have small kids)

The service when collecting and returning unit. The condition of the vehicle.

Reply from Mighty Campers
Good service and customer care. Camper in good conditions and well maintained. The only bad point was the very long waiting time at pick up (we basically lost half a day of journey).

Reply from Mighty Campers
Excellent customer service and the van was exactly what we needed. Would definitely hire again from mighty campers.
